In a deeply troubling and disturbing case that rocked the small town of Wilmington, the investigation into the murder of three-year-old Riley Fox took a dark turn. Despite the grief and anguish of her parents, Kevin and Melissa, the police zeroed in on Kevin as the prime suspect with no evidence to back their claims. The handling of the case by law enforcement was nothing short of a debacle, with tactics involving manipulation, threats, and coercion leading to a false confession from Kevin.

Meanwhile, the real killer, Scott Eby, a violent offender with a history of crimes, was lurking a mile away from the Fox’s home, waiting to strike. The police, instead of following up on leads that pointed to Scott, chose to focus on Kevin, tearing apart his family and reputation in the process. The lack of attention to crucial evidence, such as the shoes with Scott’s name on them found near Riley’s body, and the mishandling of the investigation painted a grim picture of incompetence and negligence.

But justice eventually prevailed when Scott confessed to the heinous crime, revealing the truth behind Riley’s death. The exoneration of Kevin, along with a substantial settlement for the wrongful arrest, shed light on the failures of the justice system and the impact it can have on innocent lives. The aftermath of the case left scars on the Fox family, leading to their relocation and eventual separation, with Kevin’s tragic death in a car accident marking the end of a tumultuous journey.

In the end, Riley’s story stands as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of a flawed investigation and the importance of seeking justice for the innocent. As we remember Riley and the pain her family endured, we must also reflect on the systemic flaws that allowed her killer to escape justice for far too long.

Something interesting to note – Scott Eby died in prison in December of 2023, right around the time this video aired.

And the Department of Corrections won’t release how he died.

    God is good.

OH MY GOD!!!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!!!! THIS POOR BABY GIRL N HER FAMILY!!!! I hope these cops feel like absolute shit knowing that the man they so viciously accused was the one person the victim was calling out for!!! UGGHHHH I'm horrified!!!

  • @meemsters

There parents were amazing to their kids, and seemingly each other… but they still were both babies themselves, under 25…this shit changes your actual brain..and obviously the brother was an actual child-I truly hope Tyler is healing and living his best possible life.

This is for sure one of-if not the single most horrific thing I have ever heard of.

What the!! 😮 The cops' theory was that the father did it accidentally, and then decided to do THAT to his daughter?!? What the eff kind of logic is that?! I'm can't even fathom it.

  • @Demina420

That BIT@# makes my blood boil with the questioning of that child … She should no longer have her job … Those corrupt cops need their lives screwed up just as much as they did Kevin…. It was calculated on their part that they ignored the evidence

Remember when you’re being interrogated without a lawyer you can just get up and go home. At any time.

I just started this video and it's already going to be hard to watch because children pull at my heart strings more than anything else. I have a daughter and I would protect her with my life. When I heard the part where she was calling out to her dad for help it just broke me. There is evil in this world guys and it comes in all shapes and forms. I pray little Riley is with God and her ancestors. Rest in peace beautiful Riley. I was thinking about this little girl while trying to fall asleep and hearing her call daddy help me. I had to avert my mind because I was getting ready to have an emotional breakdown over her pain. It's absolutely soul crushing. This one just really stuck out to me and I was just broken over it.

What a truly heartbreaking case, on countless levels. That police station ? They make me PUKE !!!

  • @neorev01

I was in wilmington the morning that riley was missing and joined in the search. The story was quite the rollercoaster as it unfolded in real time. The devastation that the police caused is second only to the original crime. I never believed kevin did it, the story didnt make any sense to me.
