The meticulous investigation of the Cari Farver homicide case unravels a twisted web of deceit and betrayal. Farver, a 37-year-old mother from Iowa, went missing in 2012 and her remains were not found until 2015. It was later revealed that a former boyfriend, Shanna Golyar, had assumed Farver’s identity and continued to communicate with her loved ones for years after her disappearance. Golyar was eventually convicted of Farver’s murder in 2019.

Everytime I see this story pop up I always get chills. My name is also Cari. I have never known someone to have my name, spelled and pronounced the same way. When listening to her story I felt that a lot of our personality traits were similar and it just made me think that could be me. Such an awful case of a deranged woman that just wouldn’t let the man go.

Annie- can you cover the Michael Barisone case?! I watched the trial- it’s a wild one!

Liz is a cruel and selfish excuse of a person. I can’t even imagine the grief and torment Cari’s family has endured. The fact that Cari’s body has still never been found is devastating.
