Love your deep dives!!
@jenniferc8306
Thank your for covering these cases. I had been looking to hear about Xaviors case to see if anything had happened that i missed. The end of your video with all the missing kids had me checking the missing persons in iowa page. So eye opening seeing a massive list of some VERY young kids missing. I will definitely be watching my kids closer than i already do. What a scary world we live in.
@jenniferc8306
Wow as someone who has lived in the des moines area all my life i didnt realize Meth was such a big issue in Iowa.đ Learn something new everyday.
@dawngrimes7361
Chris Watts talked too much so that gave him away, eye's and body language throws all of them under the bus. When Chris showed up at home after her ANGEL of a friend called, he didn't act right from the beginning PLUS the nail in his coffin from his neighbors camera caught him at 5 am was soooooo bad

@valeriejohnson1043
Hi. I love your work
@pamhillard2310
I hope you will cover the Johnny Gosch case for us. And there's nothing wrong with a 2 parter . Thanks for everything
@robpow36088
Thank you. It makes me sad, too. But so many get away with so much because so many look the other way, or think "so and so are wonderful, that can't be true." Abusers don't abuse everyone. They want some "flying monkeys" to come to their defense. "Run away" is a defence to not do a job. You spend so much time and detail that brings things to light. There is two cases I know people involved. We recommend your coverage as how to find out more.
@charlee6128
On the border, people are more concerned about human trafficking & smuggling than scary bad people crossing the border. Itâs more of compassion and concern for undocumented people being bought & sold into modern slavery or forced prostitution. This also shouldnât be a controversial take.

There's no amount of shame that's healthy, fucking ever. There's a difference between shaming people and helping them to get connected with the help they need. Fucking disgusting suggestion. I'd like to shame you for thinking you're better than anyone…there are reasons that happens in someone's life, and shaming people pushes them further into use because it makes people feel like they don't deserve help and makes it even more difficult for them to take that accountability and get help. THEY ALREADY FEEL LIKE PIECES OF SHIT. Going out of your way to try to make people feel like garbage is foul. They are humans too…no one believes it's acceptable to subject children to that life, but all you're doing is contributing to the spiral and the further you perpetuate the stigma, the harder it is for people to get help. You hate people that use it so you vote against funding for treatment centers and you want people to go to jail and not get any help…so when they come home they're still stuck in that spiral only worse off because now they likely don't have anywhere to go and no way to get somewhere to go. That hatefulness is absolutely foul…and I think it's interesting that if the victim was someone with substance abuse issues you would be telling people not to judge them, and that no one deserves what happened to them đ make up your mind.

My GOD. Xavior 's Mother's face when she says, "God I wish we did." It's bone chilling.

Thank you for your attention to people who suffer from meth addiction! Unfortunately my best friend of almost 35 years turned to meth when she lost her mother, and after many painful years of trying to help her, we had to make the decision that we couldnât enable her any longer and she turned to living under a bridge because she only wanted that high! That was even with a free home to live in, as long as she was sober, but meth already had its hold of her! Itâs been more than 3 years since Iâve seen her and itâs still one of the most painful decisions Iâve ever had to make!
I pray that little boy went a peaceful as possible but sadly I doubt that was the case!m. đ˘

I agree w Stephanie. CW is an a**hat.
@cryptidkitty3097
As someone who has family that does or has done meth and has died from it THANK YOU! It is a terrible drug.
And It really seems like Xavier's mom is probably involved in his death. And from the interview she was in it really looked like she was on something to me.
@kathleenlourde1475
Jeez, I wouldn't have said anyting, but you ranted for so long about meth users that I felt the need to say that I'm sure all meth users aren't parents, aren't married, and are using it in a wrongheaded attempt to treat themselves for something. Saying shaming them is the solution is… wrong headed. They need medical and psychological help, and they may need to learn accountability. You also are not omnipresent or have all-encompassing knowledge of people's situations. Shame is the wrong route. Caustic judgement is not constructive, it's just corrosive. Accountability, yes. Shame is just destructive. Shame is at the root of half of the bad actions that take place, the violence, the domestic abuse. No, not shame. Assistance and accountability. My god, you're still ranting about it.
@user-hq6eh2rr5i
We were doing drugs when our kids were little although we stopped after a short time and we thought they didn't know but it' really did effect them them and they still talk about it. So say it loud â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤we never did it again it's been 30 years â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤Thank you â¤â¤â¤â¤

I know this is an older video but I want that THANK Stephanie for sharing her opinion on meth users. I am now in my 30s but I remember growing up with a mother who is addicted to meth, and let me tell you⌠sheâs completely right. The hell I lived through and the hell I am trying to heal from is all too real. I have watched other kids in my town grow up in the same home life but they are now also users or are dead from using. I am so thankful that I never got involved and escaped that life. But meth addiction is not an illness. Itâs a fucking choice. And NO ONE WHO IS AD ADDICT SHOULD BE A PARENT. I said what I said.
@teeplr-pd6nv
This woman. Rolling her eyes and seeming annoyed there is a place for you.
@brandonpropes
I can't help but think you're onto something about the big fight with his mom.
@tarabasden8440
Living with a meth addict is hell on everyone in the family.
@frankiem9672
Stephanie I love you but damn.
I am in active addiction⌠and while DUH obviously meth use is bad. & addict parents arenât the best parents (I would know đ, mother is it a LAC w a masters in addiction treatment but used to shoot the shit up in front of me)
What makes you think addicts donât have shame? That is the literal basis of addiction. The shame cycle.
For every POS addict murdering their children, there is tons more feeling an asinine amount of shame to even be associated with these fuck heads who were fuck heads before they touched a drug.
Most addicts are being treated for co-occurring diseases . Meaning addiction in it self is a disease, as well as numerous other mental health conditions that were likely to have been there before.
The anger you have in your voice sounds like is generalized to all addicts. It feels hateful
@shannon8315
Politicians shouldn't take advantage of cases like these. But people should only enter the United States legally and be documented. Not like what the Biden administration is allowing. This is a crisis.
@susangearing2053
This piece is very well researched. Well done Stephanie!
@moniquewilson7467
Thank you for The sound off on Meth using parents. Coming from a meth family, it warms my heart to know someone else thinks the way I feel. You put my emotions in words so perfectly. It's so hard to find the right words to explain such chaotic time.
Prayers for all those missing children.
@1430duh
My mom and step dad were meth users and also my biological dad was too. My biological dad drank way to much beer when I was little but he was a really good father until I turned 11 and thatâs when he started to use meth and we grew apart. He had no criminal record and wasnât violent but now he is in prison for the rest of his life because of a split second decision he made WELL HIGH ON METH. I always had a roof over my head but was neglected. My parents were locked in their room 24/7. I canât believe there are people that defend meth users. Very odd.
