I think that Wendi asked Jeff to do it. I think that she said that he would be paid the $15,000. I think this is why Jeff remembers the figure so vividly. It was the offer made directly to him.
Jeff is bothered by something deep. I think that he is bothered that he knew what was going to happen and he did nothing. It is the doing nothing at the time that is disturbing him now. Part of what is motivating him to disclose so much now is to convince the law and himself that he is not guilty. He may spend the rest of his life trying to mentally process this whole experience in a way that absolves him. He is also torn because what was being considered was something opposed to his nature. He counsels people. This must be a tormenting time for him. The Adelsons were a landmine that he stumbled onto.
No wonder he's talking in circles.
He characterizes Charlie as street-smart. I think maybe instead Charlie is gutter-minded. He's below the street. He's not smooth with women; it's just that the women he prefers are right there on his same level, so he gets a response. There is a whole population of women, I'm sure, who would not look his way for all the money in the world.
@cbesthelper404
He assessed the Adelsons as strange and pathological. He knew how much they hated Dan. He was told directly that the family was contemplating getting rid of Dan. It allegedly creeped him out.
Yet,
He told no one.
He did not warn Dan.
Not good.
He is, after all, a mandated reporter.
@cbesthelper404
I don't think that Charlie was extremely protective of Wendi. I think that he was extremely controlling of her. There's a difference. An example would be like a pimp who is not protective, but controlling of the prostitute.
If Charlie were protective of Wendi, he would not be speaking about women in vulgar terms in her presence, and especially in her presence while her boyfriend is there. That's like giving the boyfriend the okay to demean women, including her.
@Aliunderthesky
Can we mention that Rob, the estranged son of the insane Adelson family, also strongly suspected from minute one that his family had Dan killed? They considered Rob to be strange because he iced them out, not knowing that they are the odd ones. I’m betting Rob was also spoken to, but has kept a lower profile.
@user-hq2qq1si6n
Jeff Lacasse called it from the beginning. Too bad the prosecutors office was corrupt back then.
@danadangelo7582
Jeff is incredible and can’t wait to hear him testify at Wendi’s trial
@danadangelo7582
2:01:16 he’s a better investigator than the investigator
@danadangelo7582
2:00:46 I hope they were bugging her phone and it’s all to come in her trial!
@daveh98
So many comments focus on this guys integrity and insight but insight was transfixed on Charlie; almost obsessively and with the same sort of arrogance of the personality disorders he referenced. And what happened to his “duty to warn” mentality he would practice in social work? He is confident there was a clear danger to the victims life and his complicity is just as notable as his insight. Insight means a lot less when people say nothing when it’s most important. Tragic situation. But a hero this guy isn’t.
@aland5935
Wendy has such a weird hairline in the front
@marlenebulger6822
Jeff was covering for Wendi, he knew. Why did it take you 3 days to go to police Jeff?
@marlenebulger6822
Who emailed him about the shooting? He said he was told by Jane via a 5 minute phone call, but didn't say what day. Who emailed Jeff? Oh. I'll listen again, he said, Someone said, "You got an email from Wendi?" Jane?
@marlenebulger6822
He knew through Jane, in a 5 minute call? I doubt that. This first interview, he's protecting Wendi. Hmmmm
@nimo517
I hope this man if forever happy and knows the public didn’t think he was just a jealous boyfriend
@nimo517
Jeff is the most honest witness these officers ever had… they were trying to disarm him as the steps but he’s already emptying pockets and singing every detail he deems helpful…. And he could had been a bigger anti Wendy person but stayed from his perspective only
@nimo517
4:32 “he says Yes but shakes his head No at the same time, implying he killed 6 people and ate 4 of them”
-what I’ve learned from other channels 😂
@nimo517
Why did I just find this channel?! Better late than never
@cynthiakelly3010
Looking back at the “no contact email”- it looks like she’s trying to set the scene to make it look like she had to tell Jeff to stay away. Like he was obsessed. So that’s some faked evidence to throw police off and focus on Jeff to the exclusion of other sudpects
@tonibat59
The stupidity of these guys at the very start is appalling. They want to force this crime into the Chris Watts pattern by force. Forgetting about a key difference: Chris Watts needed to get rid of his wife in order to be with the girlfriend. Almost the opposite is the case here.
But their insight doesn't reach beyond their nose. Fortunately they soon change gears.
1:11:50 The incident might have been planned by her to get Jeff jealous and unhinged. Maybe in the hope he might do some crazy stuff along the way. The same for her multiple sx partners. There's no way a normal guy like Jeff would have discovered if she didn't want it to be discovered.
@valentinexavier9278
"All the romantic couplings are with highly educated, high elite status men. She doesn't slum, that I know of, at all. She doesn't." Except for Lacasse. Jeff was living in a $500 a month apartment, driving a Nissan Sentra.
@Carolina-uf2ip
He says Wendi drank her dinners most nights, drank a lot. According to her family she didn’t drink. This woman has a lot of skeletons in her closet
@heebiegeebie1003
Every time I watch these interviews, I want to go back and watch the trials again. This case is fascinating.
@lorena250274
I have a crush on Jeffrey Lacasse 🥰
@BluebellB
Puzzle pieces… 😂
@docbailey3265
“Don’t worry, Mr. Lacasse, this interview will never see the light of day.”
@Rae_777
I’m surprised a calculating sociopath like Wendi made the mistake of getting close to someone who IS A PROFESSIONAL SCHOLAR OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE and has experience in forensic/criminal psychiatry. She is arrogant about her skills, wow.
@beatrizsmith7293
He resembles Danny a bit. Smart dude
@NurseChapel_NCC1701
We are all a fool for love at least once in our lives. Jeffrey was the fool for a murder plot. I’ll be glad when he will have the last laugh on Wendi.
@toniwendt6604
Jeff made their case for them.
@BleakVision
🦉🦉😢😢Who would do this?😢😢🦉🦉
@peterolbrisch8970
Sherlock Holmes like? C'mon, it was pretty elementary.
@heatherwinser66
Some think he was a lost puppy in love and I agree but this man is so intuitive with the smallest of things that ended up being huge pieces of evidence. This man solved the entire case. His 3 interviews are mind blowing.
@sashagirl1987
Jeff Lacasse, if by some chance you ever see this message, Thank You for being such a wonderful human being! I’m sorry you were taken advantage of by Wendi and ALMOST set up for murder. That’s a fact, I will always believe that was their plan. Some woman someday will be blessed to have a man of such good character for a husband! I hope you’ve been able to put this behind you. 🙏
Want to add, I truly hope Wendi will be arrested one day soon and have to pay for this horrible crime and I hope you get to confront her on the witness stand and let her see she WASNT able to DESTROY your life! But she SURE PLANNED TO!!!!
@sannyo6
We all know Georgia is calling JL at every trial. I wish she’d do a little direct Q&A on his CV so to speak. Show jury he’s studied criminal forensic psychology. Worked w DV survivors and is an studier of human behavior. Because at Charlie’s trial Rashy was saying JL went thru WA’s phone. Was a stalker, and Georgia never objected. Am I missing something? Why isn’t Georgia protecting her best witness on Wendi? Or is she letting them bring in lies, so when the big day comes, they can impeach Wendi or Charlie? It blows my mind how much Charlie trashed JL in his testimony and got away w it. Maybe the jury saw it? Idk
@sannyo6
What strikes me now, watching this again, is JL is focused on going chronologically & talking about his relationship & WA’s behavior, but LE is focused on that 7/14 convo, in relation to murder. LE & Lacasse both miss opportunities to clarify. Now I know this is 3/2015 and where is LE, at this moment, figuring out who the shooters were? Did they know the connection between the Adelson’s and SG yet & KM? Or are they still just gathering info so LE hasn’t pulled cell records and other critical data on the Aldelson’s? Damn if they had listened to JL back in 2014 and behind the scene pulled CA’s phone records and other data… wonder if the outcome would be different?
@sannyo6
Funny they dated casually thru fall of 2013. And Charlie solicits KM 10/31/13….. Did WA & CA decide JL needs to use JL?
@sannyo6
She cut JL out of the boys’ lives just like Danny…. She just moves on to the next
@sannyo6
So JL told LE this convo on 7/13/14 about Charlie looking into a hitman. I wish he had zeroed in on the date this day. He was so shocked and scared I don’t see how composed he was..
@sannyo6
I remember that remark that JL was on trips in 6/14 & 7/14 and that is another piece of circumstantial evidence.
@sannyo6
Where is the statement that JL took two trips that summer and BOTH were on the dates the hitmen came up? I saw someone say it. But was it at trial or here?
@sannyo6
Black widow. When did these videos get released? I know JL was worried about his safety and I don’t blame him. Im surprised Charlie didn’t take him out b/c he solved the case in 2014.
@sannyo6
So Wendi’s 14 days in Miami, before the murder, she was so whacky. Meaning they were in the final planning. And Jeff said on a Skype call Wendi was cleaning out her childhood room. 😳 meaning that’s where to boys we’re going to live after the murder? I wish Georgia would delve more into this period. Or maybe they did but just asks little questions, sprinkled throughout the trials? Seems like her activities in that period are ripe w circumstantial evidence of planning.
@sannyo6
This is same day the Adelson’s fled south. Was this before they left? I think the Adelson’s didn’t think anyone would see the get away car & not knowing when Jeff left, LE would of zeroed in on Jeff asap. Jane must of told Wendi that Jeff reported he left on Thursday night. Maybe that’s why they fled so fast. Wendi knew JL would be ruled out so fast.
@sannyo6
TY for reposting Jeffery Lacasse’s video. Are these 3 all the videos? I mean are these edited to just cut out periods of silence & it’s all his talking? Can’t believe this guy isn’t an FBI consultant.
@mariansinger9003
Wendi should have been arrested by now. This is crazy that she is still free.
@laurenhoffman2751
Feel like the cops r slightly interested in Jeff’s story cuz he was close to Wendy but that they mainly see him as a sad ex. They are also interested in getting info that proves he isn’t the killer. They want details of where he was during the killing and details to the bigger things but he’s been trying to say way more. I wish they listened more and let him talk longer. He’s a talker and he would’ve kept going had he been allowed to. And who knows what else he might’ve remembered or said. Maybe it wouldn’t be ground breaking but it would’ve been interesting or even helpful. Cops seem mildly annoyed at xs over the Wendy relationship stuff. Like he’s just a jilted lover. They don’t take him overly seriously. U can hear it. And he’s a nice guy whose trying to help. He’s also right about everything and had worthwhile things to say. I feel like they almost think he needs to c a Councelor over the bad breakup and not them. (And haha maybe he does need one after dating Wendy) but that’s not why he was there. He rambles a bit and seems confused etc but it’s because he’s slowly coming to terms w some crazy stuff. The more he thinks the more he sees how bad this all is. He’s 100 percent sure Wendy did this and his mind is prob allover thee place sorting out things and making sense of things that kinda tell him what happened. He’s prob kinda in shock too. He was there w an interesting perspective and many thoughts and stories. Later he became a great witness they were lucky to have. He’s worth listening to and they should’ve listened more. I’d have appreciated a longer Jeff lacasse video too. The Adelson s are always an interesting topic for sure.
@laurenhoffman2751
Watching these two guys try and read a break up letter from a confusing women and try an fig out what it means is kinda funny. They don’t know what it means or why lol just that it’s bad.
@riverzala9186
Whooopsie Jeff just admitted he knew about this and why didn't he call the police ? Why not save Dan? Well because he said Dan called him stupid , was passive aggressive when they met , he's a Harvard tool, and he hated the MF – (all coming out of Jeff mouth ) but in the stand in 2023 he changed that story – he didn't know Dan and the times he met him he was nice and no issues ! Why is Jeff lying ? Because he wanted Wendi so badly he never bothered to call the police – and he left town the night before BECAUSE HE ALREADY KNEW FRIDAY was going to be a bad day? (In my opinion he made sure he had an alibi ) wonder what he's gonna tell them OFF THE RECORD 😂 ( what doesn't he want to say publicly) he flipped.
@khunter8757
Weird beginning. He does sound a bit guilty right in the beginning, way too nervous, especially being an educated man. But obviously i now do not think hes involved.
@danadangelo7582
Jeff is amazing! He solved the case years before the police!
