  • @Shannon_Moore

That detective is working my nerves

  • @dawnbrandt

This is the second Netflix in two days that makes me hate the cops. Is it just me or does the skull and bones/Harvard aspect of this seem really brutal.

  • @michaelmorris6406

I believe them from the start. I don't trust the police. I never have trust the police. They have a history of victim blaming. They do it to rape victims all the time. And in many cases they charge rape victims with a crimes for making false claims. The police will never admit when they're wrong. They're like a giant organized crime syndicate. More powerful than any of the world has ever seen. They have judges they have prosecutors and the police to back them up. Pretty sad if you ask me.

  • @vicvega4128

Kenny Park!!! What a joke of an officer….

  • @gardensofthegods

Well at least the victims were able to sue the police and were awarded $ 2 and a half million … although after they pay off all the lawyers and the taxes that's not really much for the hell they went through .

  • @mcs-bl6sg

And people wonder why faith and trust in the police is dwindling year after year.

  • @krystalrose5874

So "officer fuck up of the year" 🤦‍♀️

  • @StupidYoutubeHandleTM

oh my this just got me thinking. There were two others and Matthew said he had to put her to sleep before the others came to his home. Probably so she wouldn’t recognize their voices. Ofc a cop would protect himself and throw Matthew only under the bus. Plus Matthew was a lawyer so it’s not crazy to think he has close connections with cops. And as a matter of fact, they did say Aaron was trying to get back with Andrea so the cop probably thought they were gonna be together that night. Notice how Matthew kept saying it was supposed to be Andrea. The cop probably was supposed to be the hero in this case but it turned out they kidnapped the wrong girl. So to cover himself and everything in the end he called them liars. And this is probably true but they’d never find out bc that police department does poorly

  • @JessicaCoffman-le1gd

If I was gonna be kidnapped, those would be the ones I would request. I think they can use their skills to better criminal use. Wipe out student debt, fix everyones credit, stick it to the man in a positive way. If "anonymous" is in here, *hint hint lol.

The police department will go down in history as the worst. I cannot imagine getting it so wrong the kidnappers sent them a message to the news about how incompetent the police is lol.

  • @DaaiDaaiable

If it wasn’t for Detective Misty Carausu, this nightmare will never end for Denise and Aaron… this story made me so angry, the conceited arrogant lazy attitude from the Vallejo police, that FBI agent and the trial by the media … really, how many more victims will it take for them to be believed?! Powerful documentary and awesome lawyers btw!

  • @nickchorman

Im just confused as to why they never explained why denise got released even tho muller didnt get the money he wanted

  • @user-es3cu5em9k

In all honesty I don’t understand why everybody is pissed off at the police work here. Don’t get me wrong, police officers in many cases just don’t do anything at all. They don’t take seriously cases with missing adults saying “they are independent and may just have decided to break up with you without leaving a note” etc. but they did start an investigation, they went for most obvious theories with a partner being involved. They deemed her as not alive because it probably means they have more resources to use for searching , the officer wasn’t particularly nice to the partner, sure, when are they being nice to suspects?! A story with such an elaborate planning movie-like doesn’t seem plausible! Surely, it’s not what they deal with on a regular basis.
My point is Americans are so spoilt with everything that they’ve lost touch with reality and they don’t know what really lame police work force is like. And good for them , actually.

Update: ok, getting to the end of the story, I guess I have change my mind to some extent. The details of the police requesting a victim not to shower or change clothes for the entire day is infuriating , and some other details just maddening, including not admitting their faults. But at first when the culprit wasn’t found I guess it’s only reasonable to think that the crime was staged , to continue thinking so is stupidity and stubbornness

  • @sophiewordsworth2806

Please someone start a a petition to get that officer sacked & put in prison.

  • @jannacarter1262

I’ll admit this seemed way too out there to be real at first but yet again, Annie did what she does best!
Talk about tangled up! The PD really did mess up on this one.
    Great job reporting on this!

  • @whitewolf7156

We get it, you like being a youtuber and wanna get money from it. Please consider most people don’t have youtube premium and have to sit through ads every 5 minutes and on top of that have to sit through your sponsors, including gambling institutions. We get it, you wanna make money from this. Most of us viewers are not that fortunate and get our hands literallt dirty and wanna look at yt as a way to relax while eating dinner or whatever. I’m all set for the backlash and hate probably coming my way.

  • @audreyhansen-judd2962

I’m from Dublin. How did I never hear about this?! It’s such a small town

  • @davidhutchinson5233

Just holds with what I've always believed. The police are worthless.

  • @rachelrobinson2636

Can we talk about how desensitized people have become from movies!??? Wow

  • @Cam3485

Can't believe this story, horrible. Didn't matter who it is, but I wonder if women of any other color would get this much attention?

  • @mirandax0x

So much of this sounds far fetched and I feel like I've only just started the video. One glowing red flag for me is the fact that he said they were given IV diazepam, and then ALL these other steps happened, all these instructions and recordings, and the "mix-up" of the women, and THEN he says the sedatives kicked in?? Uh… the math of that timeline isn't mathing. IV sedation is just about 🫰click🫰 THAT fast to kick in.

  • @kathleensullivanrye5868

Do I have you on “hyper speak” on my iPhone?

LMK how to turn it down.

  • @kathleensullivanrye5868

Why are you talking so fast??’ Geez

  • @100MilProductions

I watched the show on Netflix…… THIS CASE MAKES ME SO PISSED OFF THAT SHE COULDVE BEEN FOUND IF POLICE TOOK SHIT SERIOUSLY

  • @envvygirls6657

Its so crazy they made him turn his phome off the kidnapper called him during that time they cell tower it would habe pinged on was 400 ft from the cabin theyvcould have saved her from being rapped a 2nd time

  • @CenterOfAllCities

Any power of athority is a terany over people in essence, exept for Dublin police department

  • @texasgirl7884

Another great video. Such a sad story

  • @dennish3962

Without the extra help from the kidnappers, ONE of the two would have caved to police and taken a plea. Everyone naively believes all the copaganda tv shows that portray good detectives doggedly interogating GUILTY suspects until they crack. The truth is it makes no difference who actually committed a crime, only who police SAY committed a crime.
98% conviction rates means TONS of innocent people behind bars. Ive seen estimates that 40% in prison are either completely innocent of ANY crime or innocent of the crimes they were convicted of.

  • @carriewhaley3322

I watched the documentary, I like it. They did cover alot of the story. I was wondering what ever happened with the kidnapper saying they were supposed to kidnap Aaron's ex-girlfriend. What is the reason she was being targeted? Does anybody know?

  • @srvsrv8584

The FBI in CA and the Vallejo PD are so deplorable in their crime fighting even the criminal in this case felt offended.😂😂 So laughable I am literally ROFL!!!

  • @care4animals114

Unbelievable, what a horrid experience. What a monster.😢
    Good work detective! ❤
