On December 6th, 2014 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Jessica informed her mother, Lisa, that she was heading to the gas station, assuring her she would be back shortly. However, hours passed and Jessica did not return. At 8:07 p.m., Lroy Rudd and Glenn Williams dialed 911 to report a flaming vehicle on Heron Road in Courland.

Within minutes, emergency responders were on the scene, tackling the blaze engulfing the car. Suddenly, they noticed a figure emerging from the nearby woods. As they approached, they were shocked to discover a young woman, only clad in underwear, with her body severely burned from head to toe, rendering her unidentifiable. Chief Cole Haley, who arrived on the scene shortly after, witnessed the woman hobbling towards them, pleading for help.

Tragically, the combination of the extensive burns and smoke inhalation proved fatal for Jessica. According to the medical examiner, over 93% of her body was covered in second and third degree burns. This horrific crime paints a grim picture of the dangers lurking in the shadows of our society.
