In a case that shocked the community, Savannah La Fontaine Greywind’s disappearance led to a series of dark revelations that left investigators reeling. As a detailed crime investigator, the twisted and diabolical plan carried out by Brooke Cruz and William Hoehn unfolded in a truly horrifying manner. Savannah’s family, neighbors, and even the police were left questioning how such evil could live right next door without anyone suspecting a thing.
Savannah, a caring and selfless individual, fell victim to a vicious attack orchestrated by Cruz and Hoehn, resulting in a heinous crime that could only be described as a pure nightmare. Despite efforts to locate Savannah, it wasn’t until a breakthrough discovery of a newborn baby, believed to be Savannah’s, that the chilling truth began to unravel.
The investigation into Savannah’s disappearance exposed a web of lies, deceit, and betrayal, leaving no stone unturned as the details of the crime came to light. From the gruesome c-section performed on Savannah to the callous actions of Cruz and Hoehn in the aftermath, every twist and turn of this case left a trail of heartbreak and despair in its wake.
As the trial unfolded, testimonies revealed the extent of the evil that Savannah had faced, shedding light on the brutality of her final moments. Despite attempts to seek justice for Savannah, the sentencing of Cruz and Hoehn brought little solace to Savannah’s loved ones, who continue to mourn her loss.
The legacy of Savannah Greywind lives on through her daughter, Hazley Joe, who is growing up under the loving care of her grandparents. While the perpetrators of this heinous crime may face the consequences of their actions, the scars left behind by Savannah’s untimely death serve as a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk behind closed doors.
The passage of Savannah’s Act serves as a beacon of hope in the fight against missing and murdered indigenous persons, honoring Savannah’s memory and seeking to prevent future tragedies. As the community grapples with the aftermath of this horrific crime, the memory of Savannah La Fontaine Greywind remains a poignant reminder of the importance of vigilance and unity in the face of unspeakable evil.

I will NEVER understand the psychological aspect behind these cases. So personal and brutal. Leaves me absolutely speechless.
@user-fm6ht3pk1x
Thanks so much for covering this tragedy of an indigenous woman. I've somehow NEVER heard of this, but not too surprising because we all know murders on the Rez r usually not taken as seriously 🙁
@aylaxypt
40:56 his sentence should've been held at life without parole
@michellelynngarceau3851
I first heard Savanna's story on a series called "Me Hereafter". What those monsters did to this poor young mother is enraging and devistating. Thank you for covering her case, we need more representation for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
@JordanEmede_376
As a father who is blessed to still be with the mother i feel for this poor family, especially the father whos doing this on his own (presumably) i know id be lost without her.
@beverlyledbetter4906
You never hear of any cases involving native Americans, so this was very interesting. It's a shame what happened to Savannah and her attractive family!👍
@fourfurrypotatoes
It's terrifying how many women are willing to cut out a baby from its mother! I've heard of babies being kidnapped from hospitals and homes, but doing something like what crazy did just blows my mind. I like the shirt you're wearing too.
@karlwarne7380
I will say yet again, what the he'll is wrong with the American justice system ?
@iljabhm35
This all happened on the day my son was born.. so crazy to think the best day of my life was also the worst for someone else’s
@iUnderstand
I watched police perform a search on a sorority house, looking for a guy who some of the girls thought was hiding somewhere inside the house, and they didn't check under the beds, under the blankets, in the showers, in the basement, or in some of the closets….. So LE overlooking a deceased woman and a newborn baby? Sadly not surprised. A lot of them kind of fall into this all-or-nothing category; either incredibly thorough and overbearing, or too careless and lax.

I live in Valley City, ND, which is about an hour from Fargo, and this hit everyone so hard. I can't even imagine how hard it is going to be when they have to tell that little girl the story of her birth/mothers death. Also the fact that she will always have to live with her birthday being the same day as the anniversary of her mother being taken from her. So sad!
@jessicamoon9897
My neighbors are crazy. Im worried i will end up on some interview some day about it. Ive called police ive made complaints and my fam and i have documented in texts just to keep record of things. Its scary. I truly hope and pray nothing comes of it but just in case.. we have done our part even if we look like the karen neighbors
@dianemercadefe1000
Omg !! You can totally tell you are reading every single word from infront of you!! It’s annoying! And girl stop the bouncing up and down !! I use to like watching your videos until you now 100% read everything and your eyes are all over the place! It’s so distracting!!
@PESWINOMVX
Racist Cops , Its always the same b.s with every Native person, Im sick of it , I am first Nation & I have witnessed alot of racism from cops,, also this woman wanted a baby and planned it out , special place in hell for both of them
@SamanthaRolls-lg9ut
I had heard about this before and… I watch a lot of true crime, but this really hit me. They have a gofundme. Idk the page exactly. But I did donate there. Doesn't matter how much, but I don't make a lot of money and my boyfriend was like you're crazy to give them as much as I did. I noticed there hadn't been a donation in a while at that time. Nothing can make this young family whole again and it truly just breaks my heart how incredibly cruel and… out of touch people can be to eachother. I know money isn't everything, but I hope something nice was able to be done for this little girl. Or even just help with the bills and make things a little easier in some way for this family. My heart and thoughts are with you. ❤
@zzevonplant
I am glad this worthless excuse for a woman at least didn't try to make any excuses for what she did. That is the f-ing LEAST she could do after what she did to Savanna, her baby, & her family, is spare them the stupid excuses.
And my heart hurts so much for Ashton. The pain in his eyes is hard to even fathom. I can't imagine what he's going through. And poor Haisley has to grow up without a mother – and for what?
@mollyh9356
This happened just two hours from where I grew up. I actually taught elementary school on the reservation where she grew up, at the same school she attended. I'm from Devils Lake, where she first worked at a nursing home. I still cannot believe this type of thing happened in ND. Nothing like this ever happens there. It's truly a lovely state full of lovely people. This was a heinous case.
@SlothQueen96
I don’t wanna get too gruesome but like…wouldn’t Brooke have had to learn about c-sections in order to pull that off without hurting the baby? Isn’t it pretty easy, if you don’t know what you’re doing, to cut too deep and potentially harm the fetus? Maybe I just don’t know enough about this kind of thing and I could totally be wrong, but it just seems to me that Brooke would’ve had to have SOME knowledge before she just went ahead and cut Savanna open. I’m curious if they searched Brooke’s phone or electronic devices to see if she’d googled anything suspicious.

If you can go to jail for just being a get away driver and get the same punishment as the person that committed the crime then that man should be doing the same time as his girlfriend
@cheekarp2180
Yeah, stay away from druggies, even people on weed tend to be insufferable mentally ill arseholes.
