@StephanieHarlowe
I recorded this video this past Friday. Since then, more information has come out. Although I will be doing an update to this video to include the new information, in my opinion it changes some of the facts, but not my ultimate belief which this never should have happened, and was easily avoidable. Clearly there is something wrong with Georgia Law, and citizens have no business making arrests unless they witness a violent crime. There was no need for this. I spent yesterday going over the "new evidence" which does suggest Mr Arbery wasn't just jogging by, but from what I can tell, they can't really prove he did anything besides trespass at this point, and it wasn't on the McMichael's property. In the next video we will go over all of this, so stay tuned.
Educate, not hate. Lets not attack each other in the comments. Ahmaud lost his life and its up to us to have a productive conversation about it, to honor his memory and figure out how this could have been prevented. We dont need to be angry with each other, everyone has different life experiences.
The majority of you felt I should post this video, even after new information revealed itself, because even with a few inaccuracies, 85 percent of this is still relevant and important,, and I think it's also important to show the process when you are creating content like this where the information is always evolving and the circumstances are always changing.
@shadetreader
White supremacy kills.
@michhaynes7272
What the hell, what right did they have to take the law into their own hands. They didn't hold this young man, they killed him! There is a very big difference. Absolutely disgusting! What the hell is wrong with these people, not just these two assholes but those not wanting to give justice to the victim!
@denyasaltz1994
CORRECT STEPHANIE. THIS IS NOT THE WILD WILD WEST. THIS IS NOT SLAVERY DAYS WHERE YOU HAVE TO GO AND RECAP
A SLAVE. NO. THAT WAS WHAT 2020?
😎.
@Alexis-bm9kr
It’s definitely because of his race. They deserve to rot in prison for the rest of their lives 😢
@susanhodgson25
Binge watching Stephanie Harlowe in Nov 2022… "If people are sending you death threats, you aren't anonymous"! Hahaha!! Good thing stupidity isn't painful!!! Rolling my eyes 👀 🤪
@reinaldogarcia70

@bobbywilliams4790
Ppl of color know why he was shot. And see this kinda stuff happens a lot
@lauren9004
This case is DEVASTATING. Corruption, racism, murder – ugh!
@alexandracollins7436
It’s also sad that watching this in 2022, there’s significantly less views on this video than your others 🙁
@rhiannonoshea9203
only in the american south can you claim self-defense when you're the aggressor🤦♀
@45678906
I don’t care even if he was responsible for robberies, this is disgusting.
@adamlebourgeois78
Yeah you have to do what a person with a gun says unless your good with being shot, don't forget criminals have authority over you when behind a gun too, not saying its fair but it is reality
@nursekikiRN
Love your take on this case and I agree 💯. I have always told my boys to comply with police ( they are POC) and we can sort it out later.. but in this case what would they do? They would’ve done exactly what Arberry did .. fight back at someone coming at them aggressively and armed. I am totally not one who goes around saying people are targeted in this country for being POC. As a libertarian I believe This is the greatest country in the world. But in this case? In this case it was this boys color that got him killed. So sad. I feel for his mother and father.
@MrPassion4truth
The citizens arrest laws were put in place to recapture escaped slaves.
@MrPassion4truth
You could have been the prosecutor. You made a lot of the same arguments that the real prosecutor made.
@s.cunningham5318
My dad is a retired firefighter, who worked construction on his 48 off….he always stopped with us kids to look at opened new construction homes…he was just interested and always explained what was currently being built to us. It was never to do anything to harm just to check it out.
@kallijames-wyrick6900
This is exactly what citizens were encouraged to do, and sometimes fined for not doing, during the slave patrol days. People were paid to round up “runaway slaves” and killed then
If they resisted…. There was no proof needed to do anything, it is deeply ingrained in the mentally of some
@kallijames-wyrick6900
They got rid of the citizens arrest law because of this thank goodness. At least a couple good things have come from this horrible event
@caseyg12
As someone who was born and raised in Louisiana, it makes me sick to think that I’m raising my kids here. Our oldest is biracial. The ignorance is so strong. I worry about her growing up..I shouldn’t have to worry. But I do.
@rokkenrobyn9767
Yeah the way the government covers things up they’ll never let people tell the truth about his pedo-ness
@sharoncropp6101
The "bad guys" got their due and they will have to live with that the rest of their lives. I feel badly for For the young man's family who have to live the consequences that were not of their doing. and the 'bad' guys familys who have to live with no father. Lessons were learned in a few families last year all of them were hard and very sad.
@PattyHaz
I’m so relieved they are all in jail FOR LIFE, the McMichaels with no chance for parole. Thank God our justice system got this one right 🙏🏽
@alicianowell9758
Easy fix you call the cops! Omfg why grab a gun and hunt him down!? You didn’t think he was a criminal this was a clear cut case of he was black ! I don’t always jump to that I feel like it’s used lately for any incident but this is not ! This is a fucking hate crime ! 😢🤬🤬😭
@rayagray6321
Wow its sad to think I'm gonna have to stop watching her videos. Sorry but I can't watch someone and listen to their opinions when they don't even know the history of the US. You really need to do some real research into US history. Maybe if you put as much time into that as you do murder videos you might actually learn something
@rodellwarrabindahhh4541
Woohoo! Jailed
@lucygg3522
I watched the trial. Glad they were all convicted.
@nekogirl151
Honestly when it comes to gun laws in any state it’s shoddy at best. And on top of that many of the police don’t often KNOW or understand the laws. I was told by a police officer that having a shotgun cocked and pointed in your face wasn’t technically a crime when I first tried to report the incident. I can honestly say I have very little faith in police in general
@AKULA689
At 25:21 citizens arrest is a right any US citizen can act apon, however if done incorrectly that person could be charged with false imprisonment which was one of the guilty verdicts for all 3 men!
@AKULA689
I'm watching this days after the 3 men were found guilty of 9,8, and 6 charges! In self defense courses you learn to decide how to act/react. If attacker has a knife,club etc you want distance, space is your allie but with a gun you need to be close enough to try and control muzzle direction while trying to disarm! When Ahmaud was shot he was trying to keep barrel from being pointed at him at close range but did not succeed unfortunately! I'm referencing why Ahmaud is so called attacking an armed person! FYI his mother had a great Thanksgiving because of guilty verdicts a day before holiday!
