Seeing pictures of his gf on Aaron's phone!? I don't buy this story. I believe he approached Vanessa. She rejected him, which hurt his ego!! This allowed Arron to lie to everyone involved about Vanessa viewing "the pictures on his phone."

I’m glad the family can lay their love one to rest. It’s so sad that I’m this day and age sexual harassment still continues in the armed forces. A whole review of this camp and every other camp to weed out the abusers. And hold the higher echelons accountable for allowing it to continue.

There is an amazing documentary called the silent war on HBO Max regarding “S.A” in the military, army and other branches. The documentary mentions this exact military base that this crime happened! Also the documentary shows systemic coverups of “S.A” if you watch it will definitely give you an inside look into the way this could have been covered up!

I'm shocked that every single room at the base doesn't have amazing quality surveillance cameras all over. I find it crazy that there isn't footage from start to finish. Idk this is so sad and shouldn't have happened

This case upsets me because she had wanted to be a soldier since she was a young girl! Leave no man behind is there a motto, it seems like if you’re a woman they act like you shouldn’t have been there in the first place so you deserve what you got. This is how they reward citizens for becoming a soldier! This is how they honor that sacrifice! It seems like it’s only a sacrifice and a honorable sacrifice if it’s a man! if you’re a woman , you’re expendable in the military. it’s pretty clear that the military does not appreciate a female putting her life on the line for her country!

I served in the Marines & usually for marital affairs, you can either be NJPed (Non Judicial Punishment) which depending on the commands decision, you could lose your rank (which in turn, would cause you to also lose money due to the demotion) and or discharged. So I believe he went into a rage when he found out she was going to report him possibly. Sick though, just sad! But I feel he may of told a higher up that he needed her to come in that day so that was how she got called in. Possibly why the covering up of some of the details, idk. Teddy could of helped him or was the one cleaning up afterwards. Cecily was possibly helping him to get rid of the remains.
R.I.P Vanessa. 🙏🙏This is so sad and so not fair to women who are serving or want to serve in the military. I truly hope they can come up with a safe place for women and men to go to speak with civilians when they have been raped or sexually harassed by another soldier. It is more common than most know. Maybe a new safe haven run by civilians only could be in her memory and her name. So that way, as horrific as this is, her name will live on in this safe haven for other soldiers.
