Ruby Franke’s parents and her brother wrote letters to a Utah judge before she was sentenced for several child abuse charges. In one letter, Franke’s parents said Ruby was a “wonderful” mother. In another, her brother said he was impressed how “generous and kind” she was to his own children. Ultimately, a judge sentenced Franke to four consecutive terms of one to fifteen years in prison.
