Ummm well it would b harder to find certain land. There was no electricity till 1752 lol they had no flood lights no computer or cell phones. Land wouldn't b well lit lol they would b n out in the water surrounded by darkness lol. Things would b a lot harder then to see then today lol lol

I believe it's possible.. and some have recreated it and were successful. But here's the thing. Those who say no they died.that it couldn't b done. Your talking about men who have bn locked up. Men who seen the abuse n that prison men who had nothing to lose. Men who were desperate for freedom. Knowing they could b killed if caught. Now the ones who tried to recreate and didn't finish. Well they know they get to go home have lives etc. Unlike those prisoners.. which makes a big difference when your desperate..

I've been to Alcatraz a few times as a visitor in the 1980's and it's a fascinating place. That was when they hired real tour guides. I got to go inside the famous cells. I've held a Bengal tiger, and sat in a famous Alcatraz cell, played the Whisky-A-Go-Go, rode motorcycles, bucket list is filling up.

I am from SF you can find rentals south of it off hwy one… i loved running in Golden Gate Park along the ocean over the Bridge to the Marin Headlands… all the eucalyptus trees and surf Ocean Beach… its cool there (weather wise) foggy mysterious and whenever it got over 80 degrees everyone complained how hot it was (but never lasted more than a week out of the year but its made up of microclimates… its gotten really bad however.. i now live in Southern California,,, hwy one The Cabrillo Hwy is really pretty… you can visit Alcatraz at night for tour… tons of ghost tours in SF like in Chinatown at night was good… Sausalito is cute… lots of mountains beautiful and rugged… Sonoma and Napa… and Forests Redwoods and National Parks and nearby Tahoe

I'm from Canada. What happened to all of the Native children is a dam disgrace. We are still digging up mass Graves of Native children that were stolen from their parents to be "given a better life & education" We have a movement here for them called All Children Matter. Fighting for Native children's rights. I'd love for you to do a deepdive on that topic!
