My cousin built 6 log cabins from trees on his property in the country where he lives for people to stay while hunting

Idt I ever knew this much about alcatraz lol

  • @beachgirl503971

As a Bay Area native there is no way those men made it to shore

If these men got married and had kids there has to be someone in Brazil with the surname Anglin which is unusual in Brazil

Loved this. Can you do Elizabeth Bathory?

You know Derek was only a cop for three years. The supposed undercover narcotics agent who thought methadone was to get off Adderall which he said on true crime. The guy is a pathological liar and not a homicide detective of any caliber. The guy who looked into Maura Murray case and came to the conclusion that she ran away with a cult is better and he is horrible. You have to ask yourself why aren't your numbers flying up over there. He is to horrible to listen to and his thoughts are infantile. Get a real detective to team up with that has actually solved a lot of difficult cases. You'll be at a million on true crime promise with in six months.

Floyd Hamilton and 3 others escaped their cellblock in 1943. They assumed he was dead after being shot at but hid in a cave for 2 or 3 days, finally surrendering. He did 9 years in solitary in a 5.5×8 dark and cold cell.

Stephanie, we need a deep dive on Frank Morris!!!!! 😍 He is so intriguing!

  • @that1mommy597

I love hearing you talk about history! You focus on all the stuff that I actually want to hear about, and you give credit where it's due! These men really did pull off the greatest escape. I definitely believe that they went on to live out their lives. It sounds like their family knew it, their friends knew it and the government knew it. I do want to know your take on spirits, and if you believe in the supernatural. There is so much out there, but I only ever find older cases. Let's face it, people used to be a lot more gullible

  • @91408jae

I would lloovveeee a Narcos series!! I find it really interesting as well!

  • @TammyM36

Frank Morris was my favorite. I agree with you on him. I wish we had more research about him. I think they made it. This was awesome btw. I love this topic. You earned a new sub from me

Expedition Unknown & Josh Gates as well are some of my absolute favorite things lol As well as his lesser known show that investigates creepy myths & spooky legends.

  • @janacoleman9503

I live in Donalsonville, GA. I know people who knew the Anglin family and went to the mother's funeral. There really was two mystery women there.

  • @MicheleLejawa

Awesome reference to Scarlett O’Hara @ 14:45. Brought back many happy memories of watching Gone With The Wind with my Mom (passed 2019) on Thanksgiving Day. A tradition I need to continue now that my own daughter is old enough

  • @vivaisabella

I would LOVE a series done on old timey gangsters, Stephanie you do the best historical crime series I think I've ever watched. Someone needs to give you a television show. Also "the government needs a hobby" – what a great quote!

  • @ericsshorelinefishing7121

That pic is Bow n Luke Duke

  • @jonhufford6980

“ the government needs a hobby “, that’s a classic line right there. They made it no doubt. The feds don’t like looking bad or being shown up whatsoever.

  • @christinereeves1740

The warden had to had bn soooo embarrassed and felt like a fool. That 3 men tricked him and got away… I believe at least 1 survived if not all 3.. they were driven to escape their adrenaline had to have bn high and pumping them. They knew if caught they could b killed or punished greatly. And that warden who knows what he would had done to them.. so those men had more reasons to make it. Being desperate drives you.

  • @maureenhawes1598

    Narcos? Heck YEAH‼️

  • @VictoriaPL

That's a man! Whew! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 love ya Stephanie!

  • @hollielee9649

Frank Morris 😍 John and Clarence Anglin 😍 were non violent criminals who did not 🚫 deserve the long and harsh prison sentences 😰

  • @alishavillard689

Nah. They made it. Great story!

  • @nlenvegas

Like you, I just blindly believed that escaping Alcatraz was pretty much impossible, so it's interesting to have learned otherwise! You mentioned that it's sad that Frank Morris didn't have anyone to keep his name alive. He was so young when he escaped, I'd say it's pretty likely that he ended up having a family, so maybe that family has stories about the secret life of their grandfather or great grandfather…who knows. 🙂
