Welcome back to another episode of Tend to Life, where we delve into the gritty details of true crime cases. Today, we are revisiting the unsettling case of Ellen Greenberg, a beloved school teacher who was found dead in her Philadelphia apartment in 2011. The scene was gruesome – Ellen had over 20 stab wounds, yet the initial ruling was self-inflicted. However, the evidence, the crime scene, and the circumstances all point to something more sinister. Ellen’s fiancé, Sam Goldberg, found her lifeless body in the kitchen with a 10-inch knife in her chest. If I didn't listen to this case with my own damn ears, listening to the facts they've released publicly… I would never believe that sht was for real. Please, show me a case where someone UnAlived themselves stabbing themselves more than 5 times… this is a joke and how that entire county of officers, DA, Medical examiner,detedrcies, etc. thought that would slide is even crazier. The fact they are claiming conflict without explanation, bombed the investigation from the crime scene, police, detectives and everyone involved at the Medical Examiners and the DA tried to take on damage control and agwij, failed miserably… some of these families are not to be played with. Someone within the police force, DA or ME office is infok or bombed the inces so badly that the chance of finding the truth was lost with their carlessness

I just don't get the door locking thing. If he did it himself and then left and came back, how did he do that? I would get it if he maybe latched it himself then broke it down in return, but didn't he have to have the superintendent to help him get back in? That's what confuses me, if it was him.

No way in hell did she do that to herself! It would be physically impossible. One of the first wounds cut into her spinal cord and another into her brain, others showed no sign of hemorrhage (aka) she was dead when they were inflicted). The spinal injury alone would have dropped her to the floor immediately. Poor lady. She was beautiful and it sounds as if she had a really great heart. My heart breaks for her parents and her other loved ones. Hopefully she gets Justice.

Just from the 911 call I feel he killled her. Saying I guess I need to to the CPR plus right away saying she stabbed herself give me a break. He is guilty AF

The fiancé did this,she had bruises therefore someone had been hitting her.There’s no way she did this to herself.If she stabbed her self in the back of her neck,her head.She would have been in tremendous pain.Then to precede to inflict more stabbing to her body I don’t think anyone could handle the pain to continue plus how could the fiancé NOT see a knife in her chest.The call he made he was off freaking out then calm.The perplexing thing is the door locked with a bar.Maybe he killed her and pretended the lock was closed and just broke down the door.

Did she have any stalkers? Any "recent" tickets? There have been so many cases with dirty&creepy police officers. Was she having an affair or was her fiancé having an affair?
If it wasn't her husband it had to of been some1 she recognized for her to open the door unless the husband accidentally/purposely left the door unlocked… then gave himself an alibi?

And to mention on the 911 call he said she stabbed herself the knife is big, how would you know that when you claim you couldn’t even see the knife until you removed her shirt. He sounded like me when I’m pretending to not know about something I know about when my moms questioning me. The non stop talking but without any emotion he wasn’t crying and when he would “start” he immediately shut it off which can’t physically happen if your endorphins aren’t producing dopamine which you’d assume would happen when you discover your mutilated wife

It was him… CLEARLY from just the 911 call alone, he kept claiming he couldn’t see where she’s bleeding from yet she had alllll those wounds… not only that he kept saying things like she hit her head, she stabed herself, etc why is his first assumption that she did it not someone else?? Like huhhh he wasn’t crying he wasn’t actually freaking out he was just rambling pretending to be confused.

Yep I think he stabbed her if she had been cowering down and he had maybe already stabbed her front and then the last blow has just taken her life and.the fact he couldn’t see a knife in her chest straight away is pretty wierd it’s very sad they put this down to suicide with those wounds.and this fiancé has been hurting this poor woman for a while his phone calls to 911 don’t make sense

He texted. Her 9 times and made so much commotion a neighbour cane to help get door open a lot of hit terrible acting from the fiancé and he saying h nothing broken and she is bleeding but doesn’t say she has knife in her chest

He was going to say it looks to be about 3 inches deep, then thought about what he was saying and quickly says it’s a long knife….
Like he knew exactly how deep it needed to be to be fatal.

I suffer from anxiety, social anxiety, PTSD, Clinical and bipolar depression, bipolar disorder and a few others…including su i cide ideation.
My anxiety is never under control ever. But my depression has been, never when I was dealing with anxiety without depression did I feel like unaliving myself. Now when my depression gets bad, I can help but feel that way…
Anxiety and depression are NOT the same and these LEO’s need to learn more about mental health before speaking on it.

I took Ambien a few times and it was putting me to sleep but not keeping me in bed I was walking trying to drive trying to go to the front and yard and plant flowers and cooking while I was asleep it was awful my husband made me throw him away because he couldn't wake me up from me sleep walking from the Ambien

I don’t know how Sam’s managed to not only keep his career going as a tv producer, but also MARRIED & had children. Things Ellen did not get the chance to experience in her lifetime as MOST of it was stolen by Sam so many years ago.
And so many people turned a blind eye or, outright ignored or EVILLY covered up the truths of her death~ MURDER.
I hope & pray they all get what they deserve for disgustingly covering up/ignoring what Sam did to her and most importantly, Ellen and her family get the Justice THEY have deserved all of these years!
Keep supporting Ellen’s cause as her family and friends keep fighting~ Justice has not yet been served. 😢💔

Sam Goldberg, Ellen's fiance is a television producer, and it's a well known fact that people involved in Hollywood get away with a lot. It's only his word that the door was locked from the inside and his busting down the door removed any proof otherwise. He made sure to include his alibi on the 911 call. How did he not see the stab wounds or the knife in her chest? This was a coverup.

Annie most states require apartments to have to exits (2 doors) I bet there is a second door and not the balcony (that doesn't count as one) How did the door get locked like that ? I bet there is another door and he locked the other door with that latch and left through the other door. Hope that makes sense

If this is an apartment, i think the apartment staff and maintenance should be looked at in addition to the fiance. She was clearly murdered. Look at the people to had access to the apartment.

Security bars can be relatched with the door closed with dental floss. Should've checked it for wax.
