Bonnie: Oh what to do to be famous and infamous………. Eventually shoot innocent people in the face.
So if these two weren’t very “good” at what they did, or really planned anything……… where did the cruelty from them come from?

Bonnie lost her father at an early age so she probably had a very serious internal fear that she would lose her mother too. That was probably the reason she treated her mother's things the way she did when her mother was away. The part of Bonnies the letter where she wrote, "Where is my wondering boy tonight" is a verse from a song by the Carter family who was very popular among the country folk and farm folk of those times. Her favorite singer, Little Jimmy Rogers recorded with the Carter family and released records during those times that Bonnie was alive.

    So Bonnie was a Kraut

  • @thatgirlnamedcarol8268

GAWWWWD! Bonny was so overwhelming dramatic. I, in my opinion, think that Bonny did things that she’d be able to invoke emotions from others. Such as young girl performing on the stage, jumping on a boy with a razor in her hand, and creating scenarios that made her stand out.
As she became a young lady, she knew that type of behavior would give her the attention she so badly craved, like her dream to be famous. From her image of an honest and true wife, to her dramatic entries that actually come across as a script from Broadway to her feeding the homeless. I’m saying what she did was wrong or fake, but she seems do or communicate all the things she experiences hoping people take notice. It’s almost like I can hear her saying “I take great pride in how humble I am!” Ugh or “I’m not looking for praise but let me show you the selfless acts I’ve been doing while in sorrow…” 🥴🙄

  • @thatgirlnamedcarol8268

OMG!!! 😂😮 I am laughing so hard because the way you’re describing little Bonny sounds like how my mother and my teachers had described me, my gymnastics coach would encourage me to keep practicing, so I did… by jumping or flipping out of trees, jumping off our rooftop, balancing while walking on our fence that was 6’ tall. But my favorite was when our family stayed at a hotel and I went missing. After searching everywhere, they found me almost past the third floor windows on the OUTSIDE of the hotel.
When I was asked why, I just said “if they don’t want people to climb, they shouldn’t have made it so easy to do so. All the rocks sticking out just looked fun!” I was about 7 yrs old.🤭
Oh, regarding the fact that she wasn’t afraid to confront boys… yeah that was me too.
My mom wanted me to be her sweet little lady, but I wanted to be a ninja and was very serious about my training. My mother didn’t appreciate that my father constantly encouraged me. 😂

  • @thatgirlnamedcarol8268

When a little girl, I used to go running screaming bloody murder as soon as my mother picked up a hairbrush.
…but she never hit me with it, I just refused to have my brushed. 😂

  • @meriemradhi5481

1:07:23 OMG Steph I love you, really! I love how you think, it is always a pleasure for me to hear you share your little observations about people and society, it always makes me laugh, I always agree with you. You cannot imagine how much I hate women who speak with a baby voice to manipulate and get their way, I know a lot of women who still do it in this day and age, I find it gross and frankly upsetting because I wish we would just stop presenting ourselves like innocent powerless little things that just need to be taken care of. And the fact that it works on some men (too many if you ask me) it's just waw.
In this case she uses it for a specific purpose, so yeah why not use men's biases and weaknesses against them, but oh my God when women adopt it as a general behavior in the world, yikes!!

  • @julieeldridge8760

I was literally saying the words "is not my lover…." after you introduced Billy Jean 🤣 Great job, Stephanie, I enjoy both of your channels.

  • @nicolarainford

I love how much you put into these deep dives understanding the past of people is so amazing especially with ones you do from way in the past

  • @ninny90285

Grabbed "a whole ass meal" for this one LOL

  • @dianaosler6589

Watching 03/23 and can't wait for the next 2 parts!

  • @wadesmoke9726

My Pappa was out in the Midwest when all this was going on. He remembed the wanted posters. So anything about Bonnie and Clyde is interesting to me

  • @dogmomma4life845

You two are too cute together!! With all the horrible people, mostly men, that are in these crimes, it's a HUGE relief to see a genuinely good guy and the great relationship that you have. ❤️

  • @whaddup691

That letter tho Clyde… I didn’t know Bonnie was a writer for the Archies

  • @SassyCactus86

It honestly sounds like Bonnie had undiagnosed ADHD and definitely the hyperactive kind. Also she sounds extremely clingy like DAMN

  • @7spiritualcompass706

Bonnie could have gone on to do great things except that she had that anxiety separation issue, which makes one immature and often insecure, thinking and doing with emotions instead of being a cranial individual. She was a great creative writer, with so much to offer. In part, I blame her mother.

  • @WhiteDragon13

Well I just want you to know…. I am 66yrs. old and retired….. So I definitely have the time…. Now on to part 3

  • @heavenjohnson6753

"Grab a cup of coffee, a snack, or a whole ass meal" YES! When I sit down to watch videos like this with my lunch or dinner to watch something like this and people say "Get a little snack" I feel like such a pig with my huge plate in front of me. 😂

  • @Erin_629

Jury is still out on whether the uncle got spanked with a hair brush 😂😂

  • @emberweyenberg

Stephanie, the reason I adore your videos is because of your level of research and lengthy videos. I learn so many verifiable facts from you. So thank you.

  • @kunya16

Bonnie sounds like my middle child. Hoooooo boy. The sass, the love for attention, the genius ways to get around the rules, beating up boys… That's all her.

  • @nicoleweiler1105

Bonnie's letters make her sound like the OG cling-on.

  • @Rainbowofthefallen

Just Commenting for the algorithm 💙❤️

  • @Nicole_Naicker

We really need this kind of background stories🖤

  • @BooglePoots

I just feel bad that Bonnie was so vulnerable and hurt at the time that she met Clyde because I feel like she normally wouldn't have fallen in with somebody like him. They had nothing in common and were such completely different people. He always wanted more because he was very materialistic and shallow, and unwilling and too impatient to work honestly to save up for what he wanted. Whereas Bonnie was a hardworker who stayed out of trouble, and who was so giving, charitable and cared so little for material things that she was happier to spend her money buying food for the needy instead of buying fancy clothes for herself. He cared more about his image than anything, and it seemed like that's the absolute last thing she ever cared about. He stole from others not to feed himself but to buy fancy material things, charitable wasn't even a word in his vocabulary. That's something that just doesn't fit well with an honest, giving person on the other side of the relationship. So much wasted life over young lust and excitement

  • @BooglePoots

So I'm quickly learning that they were that couple in high school lol. That super obnoxious couple that had only been dating for a month but acted like they were some star-crossed lovers and who annoyed everybody by calling each other overly cheesy nicknames every time they started a new sentence. It's such a young, teenage thing lol. Which is actually sad in this situation though too, because it's just like Romeo and Juliet, something that gets romanticized on a surface level, but when you look into it it's just a pointlessly tragic story of 2 young kids losing their lives over what was essentially just a teenage fling. Especially when you consider that they really didn't have anything in common and never would've had a lasting relationship otherwise

  • @b1k2q34

    Why don't something happen? Ugh

  • @jilleonard9763

Gah, this is great stuff, thank you so much Stephanie!

  • @shaylamay2569

I share birthday with Bonnie! October 1st!
