  • @stavrianileonti9108

SHAME on the jury members that voted no for the death penalty. I feel so sorry for her family

  • @trava4156

Her fiancé fucking said it. I agree.
So upsetting, a terrible tragedy. A purely innocent victim, a demonic defense team, and our shit justice system. I hope he gets “justice” in gen population for the rest of his miserable despicable life.

  • @lindabarrett5631

It's incredibly disturbing what you can search on google.

  • @mckenziea3124

I grew up in Urbana and remember when this happened omg

  • @addieperryman

I wonder why the two jurors didn’t feel that way. Sometimes when I think cases are so obvi like the parkland shooting guy and this sick asshole how the f don’t they come back with death.

  • @kalvindick14

You have to film all your videos in a dark room like you. U are like 6-7 normally but in the dark your like a 8-8.6

  • @kalvindick14

The monitoring on these comments is pathetic. Wtf happened to free speech? This is a corrupt country we’re ducked

  • @sarahwieland3243

Our legal system has got to begin to do better in taking a “missing person” more seriously. To sweep aside friends and coworkers concerns so casually even tho they were insistent this was not her behavior at all is both insulting and heartbreaking. I don’t know that the outcome would’ve been any different, but they probably would’ve at least found her body before he so heartlessly threw away. My heart absolutely breaks for her family and fiancé, what a senseless loss of someone so bright and beautiful. The world became a little bit darker with a loss such as YingYing 😢

  • @Joaniecjo

Annie Elise, I love your work. This episode truly made me cry. To hear that mother’s wail but simply heartbreaking. Also, your narration is wonderful. I usually pass when the narration is over the top. Your voice and the writing is so easy to listen to and natural. Thanks for all your stellar work. ❤

  • @alijordyn4905

Hearing her mom cry was so heartbreaking. I feel so bad for this family.

  • @lovinalansana5186

Aww, the lawyer crying 😭 the mom crying 😭

  • @charlesmcclure8000

Hold up. 26:37 Did the detective really say that" he saw him in his car wearing a shirt and he had arms?" that was what broke the case? For real? Amazing interrogation skills

  • @MsRotorwings

Good to hear that Tracey was able to speak with YingYing’s family.
And that they were able to experience some of the good America has to offer, sadly under such horrific circumstances.

  • @MsRotorwings

There needs to be a balance between preserving the evidence and preparing the family for what’s about to happen in court.

Hopefully YingYing’s family and boyfriend have been able to find some peace since her murder.

  • @MsRotorwings

Detective: “You’re way smarter than me.”
    Brendt: “Thanks”

    Dumb@ss, it wasn’t a compliment. 😂😂

Apparently Brendt was not smart enough to not get caught.

  • @MsRotorwings

Brendt’s wife standing there completely naked…weird AF.

  • @_taymariexx

    Omg her mom. 💔💔😭😭

  • @feebennett

Heartbreaking. I love how that young man seemed to “cover” her mom when she broke down at the press conference. He literally put himself between the crowd/cameras and her.

  • @Simventure77

I love your hair like this. It looks so good short 😊

  • @petg8553

Just got to watch all of the vids in dark chapters series! Def my faves

  • @kinzayasir6463

I can't imagine what sort of Impact she would of had in this world, someone that didn't stop wanting to learn, incredibly saddened by this story. Thank you Annie elise, you have such a soft and heartfelt way of speaking about the victims. Its not easy listening to these true crimes but it also cannot be easy to research them.

  • @laurenehamilton453

This is the second case we hear about campus police being negligent. They were told about some guy trying to pick someone up using a badge. How hard would it have been for them to post warnings and keep a look out for this guy that was driving around the campus!!!
    This didn't have to happen.

  • @rebeccajean420

When you hear “Stevens Point, WI” and your heart sinks because that’s where you grew up…. Thank God for concealed carry when I was living there I guess.

  • @nicolettegeiger3678

Nebraskan here! When you mentioned what she was doing in the US I figured NE would be where she went versus Illinois but now I hear she also came here

  • @user-qi5md9qe1d

I'm sorry but the one interviewer really acting like he's Elliott stabler like LMAOOOO

  • @terripebsworth9623

That monster not only stole YingYing's Earthly life, but her afterlife in heaven according to Chinese Buddhist beliefs. The body of the deceased (completely intact) must be directed through certain rituals to heaven. If any part of the body is missing, the soul will not be able to complete its journey to heaven and will roam the Earth forever as a hungry ghost. That's why her family still speaks of returning to find her remains. They have not yet been able to put her to rest. Monsters really do exist. Had this happened in China with their being no question of his guilt, right after the trial he would have been taken to the designated place and shot. YingYing's family got little justice in their eyes. The killer is still alive and their YingYing is now forever trapped in a hellish in-between world where she must wander aimlessly lost for eternity.

  • @lsimon343

Hold the phone- are they trying to make us feel bad for a murderer I don’t care about Brent, Knight, terrors or Brent feelings what he did was absolutely disgusting and he wouldn’t be sorry and we wouldn’t be hearing about his problems if he didn’t get caught so we need to shut that down right now

  • @lsimon343

I really wish u would slow down with the pics. People who can’t be watching every second can get a chance to see the pics. U always show things way too fast!!

  • @lsimon343

You know, this guy could’ve been a good guy and given her a ride, but people just aren’t like this anymore. I know they’re always horrible people in the world but it just seems like it’s more and more and more these shows really teach me how to watch myself I just wish that she had known you just can’t trust anybody anymore.

  • @zukostryder

19:15 ENM is pretty great but also it neeeds to be consensual and full of heart

  • @zukostryder

I've been to Fujian province it's beautiful but also very rural I'm pretty sure

  • @rain2646

Cried most of this video. What a horrible person who stole a wonder life.. 💔

  • @ruthjohnson2710

Thank you so much for your thorough information. My heart goes out to the victim and her family. This guy is very disturbed. Evil serial killer.

  • @surig.5410

I hope he is haunted by her ghost constantly

  • @kaylanone-ya8410

The first 24 ta 48 hours are the most critical in any situation‼️ people who contact peace officers need to realize that it's a myth that you have to wait‼️
When "they" say ( you need to wait ) you need to be informed, adamant, aggressive & forceful even annoying if you have to.
MAKE THEM DO THEIR JOBS ‼️

  • @agamerscoven

Not the bus driver’s fault but growing up in NY, I know how some of the drivers can literally see you running across the street, 1.5 seconds away from the stop; watch you run RIGHT up and take off right before you get to the door. OR, you’re in front of the door and they refuse to open and just drive off. I don’t know Illinois culture but in NY (and even Boston) it’s a common thing. Bus drivers DGAF. Not saying that was the case and her death isn’t on the driver, but had he/she just had a heart and opened the door for her, she’d be alive today. 3 seconds could’ve saved her life.

Then again, it would’ve just been another girl in an alternate reality where the driver did wait.

That man was determined to kill.

  • @Kayslays2489

HE Said " I just graduated college. So I was I'm looking for Jobs right now." " so I spent 2 to 3 hours playing video games and taking a nap." Hahahhaha never laughed so hard!!!

  • @tanyabarlow8413

    So absolutely heartbreaking 💔

  • @missamanda2703

I wish you would cover the bullet I literally missed. My bf, through all of high school, married someone else when I left for college. Within 5 years, he murdered her and 4 other people. Chris Harris 2011 Logan County Illinois
