I don’t say this to try to sound cool, it’s just the truth. But I almost NEVER get emotional or cry while watching true crime. But when you got to the part about Ava trying to wake her mother up, then her trying to clean up the mess, I just broke. I cannot imagine the trauma and fear that poor child was feeling.

  • @reeritz1280

IMO, you can't get past the DNA….it's the smoking gun….& to assume Christa didn't bath for 3 days after sex…not buying it.

  • @aliciabreaux5310

Ava tried to nurse on her after she was dead. I can't 🥺😭

  • @dukedematteo1995

This story reminds me of the Stacey Stites murder.

A lying black perp with a criminal record a mile long, who both denied knowing/seeing the dead white woman, then low and beyond when their DNA is found all over the victim, the perp then hilariously claims to have consensual sex with brutalized victim.😮

And despite how absurd their explanation is, theres a percentage of the public that somehow believe their nonsense……most likely for reasons of racial bias and/or white guilt.

Oh, and both defense attorneys tried playing the race card and the "hes so stupid 78 IQ" card in a desperate attempt.

The Stites murder was in Texas, so the perp Rodney Reed got the death penalty.

Chris, lucky to be in blue state Massachusetts, got life.

Both are guilty as hell and shameless liars.

There are other ways to self actualise that don't involve bringing somebody utterly helpless and dependant on you in your messy ass lives.

  • @norbertk9595

Excellent wrap-up. I agree with you; they got the right guy (McCowen).

I've followed this case since before McCowen's arrest, and I appreciate that you locate hard-to-find stuff. A lot of the photographs you've included were new to me.

  • @jamison1280

What a heartbreaking case on so many fronts. From the way you presented the evidence I am doubtful of Chris's guilt. It does seem like he is someone who is easily manipulated. I wish he had taken the stand in his own defense so the jurors could have seen that for themselves.

  • @ryph3

Christa was so private, not accepting unannounced visitors, etc. It’s like she knew what was going to happen to her. God bless her soul as well as Ava’s.

  • @robertboggs3546

I don’t think Tony, Susan or Tim did it. I have a hard time believing that rage and or jealousy would result in a single stab, regardless of the strength required. Also leaving a child behind tells me that Christa was the target and the killer cared nothing about the daughter

You should take a look at the 1970s case of Marcia Trimble in Nashville. She was killed while selling Girl Scout cookies in her neighborhood. My aunt was friends with her family, and told me about it. When I was a little kid, Marcia’s mother gave my mom an angel charm that had been blessed. She said it was for protection for my brother and me. It’s a very sad and crazy story. Skeeter Davis knew them, also. My aunt said the whole bunch of them road around looking for Marcia. It was a month later when her body was found.

Another Truro crime – serial killer Tony costa. I’d love to see a video about it!

  • @Mandy-nt2cs

I am positive, positive the lady who said that a juror said 'it looked like a big black man hit her'.. completely twisted those words. 1. The two jurors who heard something similar, hears something very different.. and 2. Another black man wouldn't say 'that's why I don't like black people' he .. idk.. thought maybe she was being dramatic & claiming racism when it didn't exist. Taking the comment the wrong way bc of emotions. That happens just as frequently as actual racism unfortunately.

I don't believe for a moment that a woman invites a garbage man in to talk about a Christmas tree and immediately has sex with him on the floor whilst he's in the middle of his garbage can emptying.
Not because she wouldn't have sex with a black garbage collector but not on his route whilst on the job and on his first meeting with her.
His record of theft and violence says it all. It seems like a drug fuelled robbery and maybe it's more likely it was after they'd been to the bar. He may have spoken to her before, found himself there. Possibly both men were there, possibly not. But I think justice was probably served.

  • @katmack4215

My closing thoughts..I think, all too often, the police are more interested in closing out a case, rather than finding the truth 😠
Idk if Chris is Guilty(personally,I lean towards NOT)however,Guilty or otherwise..I do absolutely believe there was enough "Reasonable Doubt" that Chris should not be in prison right now. At the very least,he should be given a new trial.

  • @katmack4215

Do you know, that seaman can live inside a woman's body for days, and days..🤨 I think it's something like,up to or as many as 5 days!

  • @katmack4215

Idk who did this, but I do believe it's more likely Tim,than Chris 🤨

  • @user-if8qq7xv2d

Around the 1:26:00 Mark, the thought occurred to me that Chris may have had the consentual rondevouis the day of her murder and then he left. What if her stalker ex happened by and was snooping, looking inside her house, saw the interaction, got mad and saw RED – then after Chris left he confronted her and killed her because he took that as a deep insult and the more they talked and she told him to leave and not come back – he snapped and ran away. Maybe the couple who failed the polygraphs saw the aftermath in person and ran away without reporting the death/crime.

  • @irenestrmnss4496

IT WAS VERY GOOD TIM CARED SO MUCH AND WENT OVER , IF NOT THE POOR BABY WOULD BE EVEN LONGER ALONE WITH HER DEAD MOM.

  • @irenestrmnss4496

STRANGE THE ISSUE OF CHILD SUPPORT.
I KNOW THE FATHER SHALL OF COURSE SUPPORT AND TAKE CARE OF HIS CHILD , BUT SHE WAS VERY WEALTHY .
IS THIS FACT SHE FILED FOR CHILD SUPPORT? HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK YET.
DRUG ADDICT KILLED HER, ROBBERY. MOTIVE MONEY

  • @irenestrmnss4496

THE KILLER WAS A YOUNG, BLACK MAN USING DRUGS THAT WANTED MONEY. WANTED TO ROB HER. HE WAS ARRESTED. KNOWN AS A BOY WITH TROUBLES

  • @irenestrmnss4496

A TRUE STORY MOVIE WAS MADE ABOUT CHRISTA AND TONY AND CAPE COD . AND THEY MADE THE CHILD IN THAT MOVIE A BOY

  • @MaryKormondy-ly4cv

Just finished watching this now, 4 years later. My one question is, how did her father know she was found on her back & hit on that one side of her face?

  • @michhaynes7272

I do think Chris did it.

  • @michhaynes7272

I dont feel right about Susan jackets comments after! It just doesn't seem right.

  • @user-hb5je1pl1v

30:45 mark For the record…I believe a man should take care of his,BE THERE FOR YOUR CHILD/ CHILDREN… however if the mother shuts you out, don't want you to see your baby and or won't let you…wait, also said upfront she doesn't want or need your help, she just wants a baby, she is rich…you are poor…. with ALL OF THAT said….how can we blame this man,and make him out to be the deadbeat dad???? We can not!!! I'm not at the end yet and right now I don't feel he is guilty…just saying,we will see what happens

  • @El-cj3dd

I do not think Chris McCowan is th killer — I think they had consensual sex th Thursday right before th killing— I suspect Beth porter, her boyfriend & possibly christas dad— but I’m not totally sure
