Although I hate police the evidence you presented seems to point to the brother.

  • @Peeved100

I've tried several times, with different podcasts, I'm never able to finish this case. I just can't, with the whole dog thing and whatnot. And the way she was killed. So much brutality. All murders are brutal to a certain extent, of course. But this one just hits me a certain way.

I get that Dolores was devastated with the loss of candy but if like in her interview she admitted she was scared of James…why cover for him. If he could do that to his own sister then she let this man lose to commit further harm to others. I understand he went to a mental institution but he could be released. I'm always gunna take someone's mental health into consideration but James was using this embalming trap knowing it made him unstable so he should own up to his actions

  • @corinacoady2183

It was clear from the start that Dolores tried to cover up what her son did…candy's life was cut too too short..she would have been so successful in life

  • @dawngrimes7361

This reminds me of Crystal Rodgers case in Bardstown Kentucky as well as her Dad

Mothers are able to overlook a lot when it comes to their children. Ive noticed a pattern with mothers where someone they love will kill someone else they love and their first instinct is to take down the guilty party but not long after they realize the dead arnt coming back they go into protection mode for what little they have left. A prime example is cindy anthony. She went after casey hard at first, but then later went on the stand and lied to cover up for her. Cindy anthony didn't want to lose them both, and looking in from the outside, we might say, "How could you betray caylee, but as a parent myself, i dont know how i would handle that situation.

    THIS JUST LOWSY, LAZY INVESTIGATORS

  • @roguemarauder3154

It’s clear her brother killed her and their family is protecting him by blaming a lazy cop

  • @jeanettehinds4253

Imagine the world with more people like Candace in it.

  • @tamarapas

You never know. This woman could have 100% telling the truth. There is so much we don't know about what is actually happening.

  • @Rainbowofthefallen

Just commenting for the algorithm 💙

  • @TashieRags

I just moved to Colorado a year ago and I have been binging your channel and all I wanna say is WHY IS EVERY THIRD CRIME HAPPENING HERE? Eeek! I'm getting mace. Anyway, I obviously love your work.

  • @davidaston5773

@Stephanie Harlowe I am COMPLETELY stunned by this video. Because, I had NEVER questioned the validity of the official online narrative. It also makes me angry that COUNTLESS shows on YouTube and podcast platforms have basically repeated the WRONG narrative like PARROTS.

WHY can't people DOUBLE CHECK? Shouldn't this be the first thing ANYONE creating a show which will be heard/watched by thousands to millions?

I feel genuinely sorry for Dods and the other officers. They have had their names ruined.
Could they be corrupt? Yes they could. BUT, it now looks like they're above board and ONLY look corrupt due to lazy copy and past of false facts making them look bad. Or shoddy work on their part.

Those who just PARROT unchecked facts should be ashamed of themselves.
AND SO should WE the audience. In this case, we have gone along with it because it fits our personal bias towards the police.

This proves to me why the idea we should ALWAYS believe 'victims' as wrong. And, YES EVEN those who claim they've been raped.

When something is UNPROVEN or UNCHECKED, there IS NO victim or guilty party.
Merely, two sides which have to be proven or disproven.

And, in the case of a murder? Merely, evidence which is like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle.

In murder OR rape accusations we CAN NOT allow the wholesale lazy reporting of at best FALSE or at worst personally biased facts because it can and HAS DESTROYED people's lives.

At the end of the day anything like the above is damaging to the innocent and unfair to real victims.

And as a society we can and must do better,

    David

1:07:50 hiking on shrooms.. This just reminds me of the crime weekly update from the pilot you guys just covered 😬

  • @RogerLewis-ey2tt

So often in true crime accounts, I've condemned police for jumping to an obvious but wrong conclusion..halfway through, and I did it too

  • @user-hu3el4nl2m

I was watching this and cold justice you showed them Tonya Rider was one of the detectives on my daughters murder she was really nice

  • @barbaracl6308

I am truly baffled as to why this channel doesn’t have tens of millions of followers at this point. Absolutely no one digs as deep as Stephanie. Maybe it’s on the long side, but to me, it’s worth it! She makes every story… unforgettable

  • @stephanieguzman0489

I just don’t understand why her brother isn’t in jail

  • @brookescott3244

CANDACE IS A QUEEN💛 rest in power🤍 She exposed cops years ago, now we need to focus on fully reforming the police/justice system. Both systems have been broken since the beginning. It's shocking how many Americans don't know cops were originally "SLAVE PATROL." Candace was overflowing with kindness+wisdom.

  • @brettinagordon9644

    She has my same birthrate!

  • @angelaroth8612

As you went through the alledged time line everything in me was telling me that it wasn't a police coverup. It was far too sloppy and angry but I feel as tho that the police knew and could've proved it was James they jsut didn't because Deloras was obviously having a mental breakdown and they already had him on a diffrent charge. Besides that one cop, this case seems like it had very good police work and understanding cops who tried their best as too not stress the mother more than need be.

  • @beastshawnee

idk why people are assuming only the brother was mentally ill. Crooked cops rather often are as well. Calling him merely lazy is so incorrect. He was corrupt. To what level we may never know fully, but he was CORRUPT AF.

  • @beastshawnee

No reason that it all could be partially true. James might have killed the dog, but the cop might have killed her. Boils down to a male killed a girl genius, But being a genius doesn’t mean great at math, I am ok at math but got that IQ for fun stuff which math is NOT . Math is boring and tedious to me. I am one of the people who only liked the word problems-the real life math but also the “practical “ geometry-Now that I loved, that was fun, Concepts are great but the droning on of math exercises made me wanna jump.

  • @Tucker2love

Infuriating!!! I am mortified that they killed this young girl, but I’m also super angry that they killed the dog who had nothing to do with anything. Whoever did this is evil and should meet their maker as soon as possible. Obviously, I haven’t finished listening to the whole thing we’re not even halfway through so I still am super angry.

  • @barbaraperkins618

Never trust main stream media. 😢

  • @yvonneromero47

    You have a 20 year old? 😮

  • @lindc1070

Rather tragic. I think you are right.

  • @FriendsDontLie

I think the mom knows in a sense that its her son. I think from the trauma of it all either her brain blocks out all the things that could point to her son. Or she from the trauma she is in denial and saw and knows theres signs but she desperately wants it to not be true. So its either like a type of amnesia or strong denial which makes sense both are ways that the brain tries to protect you.

  • @sarahdifficult5292

Of course you are sticking up for the cops. So many are dirty and these ones probably are as well

  • @emmagreen6087

Sad story. RIP Candace. The brother most likely killed her, in a fit of delirium. However, police could have likely done some irrational things to make it look more like it was him. They would have known how to stage the crime scene to make it looked like a psychotic family member did it. James should be in a mental facility, from the sound of things, wbether be killed Candace or not.

  • @nbooch73

Amazing what have we learned the main stream media lies!!! After the last 4 years this has been proven over & over ! I hope this shows the those is denial of msm are the biggest liars ( legalized criminal enterprise) sadly May Candace rest in peace ❤

  • @user-vg3yw1ns5j

When we die we go to heaven if we have accepted Jesus as our lord and savior and what he’s done or hell otherwise. All children go right to heaven unless they are the age of knowing right for wrong. All go to their spots until the final judgement day.

  • @ave7350

Hold on you just said your oldest is twenty!!? You look like you’re in your twenties still!

  • @mangojuice8038

I hope Candace is happy with her baby in her arms.

  • @ezmay89

    It was totally James.

  • @reneeallred5082

This is so sad. Rest in peace, Candice. It very well could have been her brother which is so tragic because he was not himself at the end. I wish he would have gotten help in the beginning

  • @Mikita_95

The fact the paige lived till 7 after doctors said she wouldnt live kore than a few days. Its heartbreaking knowing Candice should of had 7 precious years together with her baby girl💔 that in itself is absolutely heartbreaking💔

I hope one day justice is served for Candice whether it was her brother or not. I hope Candice's mum finds some sort of peace in time.

  • @veronicafever3

I just got so excited bc I have the same Aquarius mug lmao.

  • @colorsflight6432

Why would the police officers shoot her and then try to hide her body under the bed? They would just shoot her and leave her where she is or shoot her and completely clean up the scene.

  • @colorsflight6432

What you are describing is how my ex husband would act after taking shrooms. Which he would often do secretly so you didn't know he had. He held me and my young daughter hostage for hours saying I was out to get him and working with the FBI

  • @michelleprudham1416

Honestly Chadwell didnt just flip out one day and do this he has abused other girls id bet on it
