Okay, let me clarify. I don’t necessarily think that an Amber alert should always be issued the second a child goes missing. However, if that child is young enough and has been gone over night, something a 6 yo wouldn’t do of their own free will, it’s safe to say something has happened to them and it should at that point be issued. Thank you guys for all your input!

Watching in 2023 and had to laugh at "2020 is kicking us in our faces. Hope it gets better." If we only knew then….

  • @chrystalmoore2501

I am watching this in April of 2023 and Lori is just now on trial…..wow! That whole thing is/was a whole mess! When I heard about the storage unit, I expected the kids to be found in there……the whole case is a hot mess. I hope they both go away for the rest of their existence. (Chad and Lori)

Update- from what I've read and from the autopsy report, it is said that Faye dies by asphyxiation (he cut off her air supply). They believe she was killed within a couple hours after she was taken by Coty. I read that he kept her body somewhere for days before burying it. Shortly after burying her, he took his own life.

This is so awful. My baby sister is only 6 and actually looks a lot like Faye. Cant imagine how terrible this must have been for the family

  • @whimsicalsimmer00934

I think an amber alert should issued after 1 hour of the child being missing if they're under 12. If I haven't seen my 5 year old for 1 whole hour, something is wrong! Idc if this means I would get 100 amber alerts everyday.

These ER calls are so frustrating. The operator is not listening.

Me in 2022: YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!!

  • @butterbeanqueen8148

I’m not on any social media. An amber alert is critical. She was 6 YEARS OLD!!! Even if she just wandered down the street she would be in DANGER of someone abducting while she wandered around. I don’t understand why they didn’t do this. It’s heartbreaking.

    A lesson for today:
If you are ever responsible for a child, even if it is just for a short period of time, make sure you:
-know their height, weight, eye color, and other identifiable features that may or may not be obvious
    – remember what they are/were wearing
    – call 911 as soon as you feel the child is missing (and not just hiding behind the couch)
-follow the directions of the police department while advocating for your children as best you can

  • @pokemonfanthings4444

911 dispatchers are heroes. Their voices/words are often award-winningly calm and reassuring

  • @ednaceola7876

Amber alerts should be a no brainer

  • @ambertastic7610

My heart is with Faye Marie 💜. God bless her family with comfort and happy memories.

  • @thetenderheartedjournaler7438

My father took my mothers last name, just putting it out there 🙂 It does happen.

  • @lynsayrooney7753

Is there an update I can’t find it on you’re Chanel x

  • @ashleeketner4408

Amber alerts are also displayed on highway signage and many other places that have nothing to do with social media. Of all the cases for cops go be lazy . It should never be but we r human but when it comes to our most vulnerable its unacceptable.

  • @laurenandrejevic275

Did a follow up video of Faye's case ever get posted? I can't seem to find it.

  • @debrishmawi7512

To comment on your Amber Alert question THERE IS NO GOOD REASON! Amber Alerts can wake me every hour of the night if it means a child is found safe! Come on world! 😢😳

  • @alexpd308

I can understand why Stephanie gave a heads up about the 911 call. I got half way through before I had to break away from it . You can actually feel her mothers panic rising and it’s gut wrenching. The fear of it omg 😢

  • @marydetray6776

Bet you anything it's the roommate of Cody that took Faye, Cody caught his roommate with the girl so he had to kill them BOTH. I don't see why ELSE Cody would also be dead.

  • @HauteBabe

The fact that an Amber alert wasn't sent was criminal negligence. It seems like police were looking for reasons why NOT to do the alert instead of why to Activate the alert. Every minute is important in a missing person case in the first 3 days. l would sue police.

  • @aleisaetheridge8682

I'm shocked about the Amber alert , I don't see why they wouldn't put one out immediately as soon as possible. They r the ones that know for sure how time is so crucially important in the rescue of a young child. Of course they would be in danger. That makes me so angry. That's the damm purpose of the Amber alert.

  • @casgallagher

I have a the Breville and when I saw you use it I was so happy! I always watched you make normal coffee and I was always thinking about how you’d love an espresso machine. Then boom I see you have one yay!

  • @kushannedotson9943

Not shaming the mom in any way. This is a lesson to consistently check on your children. Even a 6 year old playing on a porch by themselves is odd to me. I have a 10 year old I never let out of my sight. That being said you should be allowed to let your children play freely. Unfortunately times have changed.

  • @redapol5678

I never understood what an Amber Alert was until this video (not living in the US). I always assumed it was just a rush to announce it on the news or social media

  • @alittleoflolo

The police had no reason NOT to make an amber alert. When we were on a family vacation in New Braunsfels, TX my young cousin went missing at the water park. We searched for hours and could not find her, the police were ready to put out an amber alert when suddenly she was found. She had been in the lazy River for several hours, unattended just floating and scared when a lifeguard finally realized none of the adults around her where hers. The police should have put out an alert for Faye.
