Hi Stephanie! I'm way behind in a commenter. I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interestingly, I actually live in a city historically known for a Morrisite war (in addition to some large Bigfoot sightings if you're into that) I appreciate how much research you do into these cases and you're by far one of my favorite true crime content creators. As far as the white camps reference and honestly pretty much anything that Chad and Lori speak of, has nothing to do with our church our religion or beliefs. It is always disheartening when society comes to view a belief system due to publicity of these cases and in a negative light. Our church believes all are children of God, all are intended to be saved. We should care for each other, and all mankind. We should be hard working and kind and generous. We don't believe in killing in the name of God. These cases are always difficult…Same with the Josh Powell case, it's a lot of distorted belief systems that do not resemble the actual beliefs. One of my cousins was a neighbor/ friend of Susan, and that whole case was very heartbreaking and is still felt through their community💔
As far as I understand. Chad wrote fictional books that highlighted the virtues of what we aim to be, but he got lost in his own mind along with Lori where they somehow believed there are "zombies" and that they alone can tell who these zombies are and must rid the planet of them. It is truly insane to everyone who hears this, but ESPECIALLY so to those who belong to their claimed religion/ beliefs. Knowing that these poor children were taken from their loved ones by two deranged adults who should have cared for them is awful.

Hey Stephanie! I saw you on Mile higher podcast. I've watched a few of your videos now, but I'm not done until I watch them all! I love your story telling, and the way you explain situations, and your options. Gannon's case is so heartbreaking for me I have a son who is now 10 years old. Lori did try to claim her husbands life insurance, there is a vid on you tube of her calling them. She doesn't find out in this call tho that she is no longer the beneficiary of it. I think you do a great job in your vids, been listening to you for a long time now. I like how you give so much more info than other channels do, so we get fully immersed in the events. Hey!! I just wanted to let you know that it is true that in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints black men weren't allowed to hold the priesthood for some time (they were at the beginning and then sometime they were banned) but they always allowed black people to join the church and enter the temple. I just wanted to make sure that you keep in mind that Lori and Chad left the church and went to an off shoot, and we don't have any white camps in our church haha if you have any more questions, please let me know

One more thing I noticed that when I was baptized I was put into a full length like white pant suit I've also gone to the temple and did baptisms for the dead when I was little and that's for Mormons that have not been sealed together or baptized so they can be baptized and the temple was beautiful but it was completely White another thing that the LDS that I have learned is they believe that the end of times is close and to start stockpiling food and honestly once you're in LDS member they'll do whatever you ask and help in any way you need every time I've tried to go to church since then I just don't feel it the way I used to when I was younger plus my beliefs conflict a lot with Mormons
