Stephanie Harlowe is better than Dr. Phil.
    She keeps it real.

    Thank you @jacquelynekancir1936
I actually am in this exact circumstance right now. Luckily my child is 20, but still dependent in school. I’ve had this relationship before when my kid was little, and I do accept the idea that I’m the “antagonizer” I must be to find myself again in the same situation years later, older and knowing better. I must be toxic and I must bring out the bad by wanting to deal with things and the hurt they do so badly that I push until they become abusive? I am not faulting Stephanie at all. I appreciate her clear non biased view and how she still remains compassionate and seems to understand me. I was at a DV shelter before, and you’re right, it’s beyond difficult. It only worked for me then because I was young and didn’t have much. I could leave and start over after the month of counseling and legal help they gave me. Now, I’m too old and I have bills, a good job, property in probate from my mom just passing, and guess what?? You’re right again- financial abuse is the 1 thing I’m going through. I can’t even get enough to get a retainer for a lawyer. He cleans the account out and controls the flow of money, he makes 5x more than me. I have to ask him to transfer money back to pay bills. I’d be on the street if I leave, and how is a 20 yr old going to handle that? He is coercive, manipulative, deceptive and of course I push and then the scary physical part comes. And I know that he didn’t do that before me, I’m sure it was there. But we are toxic for each other, and I’m so disappointed in myself for allowing this to happen and not learning my lesson. I have given up on confronting and now I’m just checked out when I’m home. Stephanie’s videos are usually the most comforting thing I have. He goes through my things constantly, my phone, my iCloud, my old pics from years ago and I’m constantly in trouble. I sleep on the couch and am so paranoid I try to keep everything on me so he can’t get it and go through it. He gaslights me and makes me think I’m going crazy which isn’t a stretch, and definitely not hard to do at this point. I’m so hopeless and worn down, I don’t see a future anymore.
Thank you for not making me feel like a complete piece of crap. I appreciate that. I don’t think I deserve much, I ultimately made the bed I’m laying in, but unfortunately and still comforting it’s good to hear I’m not the only one like that.

  • @clararose6223

  • @kyrstincote7732

My mom is like this. Pushes people to start a fight, then cries. 🙄

  • @heartlandscolorcarecarpetd1157

Stephanie, does your native code still works ?

  • @charlenebolduc8346

I work with Penelope. And although I have never met her father or her stepmother, Penelope has told me me many, many things about her home life. I’m very worried about her and not sure where to turn to for help.

  • @heathergabbysalomon3614

She won't leave you alone, then you leave go for a drive or a nice walk. You never lay hands male or female. You never threaten. Take a break both and try to have an adult conversation when you both are in a more peaceful calm place.

  • @thecommonchumps3937

Women don't leave because they literally can't, not because they don't want to. I hate when people say "You don't have to stay". Well no shih tzu Sherlock! Sociopaths slowly suck their victims in by manipulating them, they slowly isolate, brainwash and make them 100% financially dependent. So how a woman that has no friends, family, no job (and often not allowed to work), possibly no vehicle is supposed to leave? Most small cities don't have battered women's shelters or openings in those shelters are limited. But even without the financial aspect of it, abusers have too much mental control over their victims. Pretty much every woman in an abusive relationship will have high levels of anxiety or some sort of crippling condition as a result of stress. When you are anxious, prefrontal cortex shuts off and logical thinking goes out the window. Even the simplest tasks seem impossible.

  • @sherritahall9816

Ok that man is very bad. There is going to be a sad end to this story. I'm sorry don't be mad but didn't you listen to that message and pay attention to the body language? He a sounded very mechanical like he rehearsed beforehand. I couldn't feel anything from him. He Is BAD!!!

  • @sherritahall9816

I like who you are advertising for. For anyone who doesn't know most Alzheimer's patients are found with a lot of extra aluminum in their bodies. It's a metal it should not be introduced into the body in any way. It's poison to us humans with humans disease. Look at queen Elizabeth I she died of lead poisoning because of her make-up and I'm pretty sure Alzheimer's as well.

  • @Lisa-yv2hd

Wow this guy is a classic narc. And dr Phil blamed her

  • @nicolastewart4419

Stephanie, could you please cover the Banita Jack's case? I've only ever seen 1 video of it on YouTube

  • @kaiceylasher290

Please break down this case with Derrick! I need a Crime Weekly deep dive!!

  • @buffalobaby7925

Stephanie I have lipadema the sister disease to lymphedema. I have it throughout my whole body I found the rad diet or antiinflammatory diet.

  • @vegan_guac

Oh wow the amount of victim blaming in this is shocking… Verbally "antagonising" someone and physical violence are not "just as bad". Normal people are capable of controlling their emotions and not battering their pregnant spouses.
The Dr Phill transcript and quotes were just as shocking. Very disappointing to hear all this 😞 i sure hope the poor girl never needs to be reunited with that psycho monster of a "father".

  • @gerardinecizmar

Poor kids always pay the price. Toxic couples shouldn't have kids but you can't
stop them. I know a couple that's always having arguments and they said they're thinking of having a family. Ugh. I hope not.

  • @katiemangiagli3878

Stephanie, thank you for addressing DV. I was in quarantine with my ex fiancé of five years. He had never hurt me until 8-5-2022. My nose was broken. He started with financial abuse and then he grabbed my phone one day, and as I was trying to get it back, I was elbowed in the nose. My feelings are still all over the place. He had made death threats against me and I should have known. You’re right. It doesn’t get easier or better. I will say there aren’t many shelters in my state, so leaving isn’t that easy.

  • @Cyndii

I laughed when you said 17 swipes of deodorant because thats literally what I do every time I put deodorant on 😂

  • @mikefarrant6880

Two losers. It’s always the child that suffers Because of two full grown adults two big ass losers raising a gift from god sad very sad

  • @scarlettg6136

Well Stephanie, looks like you have some haters. I love your work. And I appreciate how difficult it must be to gather factual info. HOWERVER, I noticed that you just reported it. I didn't really hear you giving opinions or editorializing. So there is no need for anyone to be ugly. ❤

  • @scarlettg6136

It appears that Penelope was the victim of 2 narcissists that were using her as a reason to stay together and feed off of each other. Both parents tormented and abused the child with their selfish in- human behavior. They were complicit in the breaking of this child. Neither deserves to be in her life. How could she ever live a normal, stable life and interact in relationships in a loving, giving way?
Heartbreaking. This makes me so angry. I know that you are angry, as well. Prayers for this angel. Thank for your hard and difficult work.

  • @alyssa0mae

So we are just victim blaming now? And justifying abuse because somebody “nagged” them? F**k Dr. Phil.

  • @CeeBee781

Dr Phil is a misogynistic piece of garbage. Just throwing that in as I finish the video

  • @overthetip

7+ minutes for the ad? Gee

  • @jackiewren87

5 damn minutes of a sponsor plug!! Please insert a marker so we can skip that crap 💩 please!! Annoying!

  • @lbridges0927

    🥰 love your videos

  • @jessicajenkins6878

You are great at what you do your passion in the genuine discussed that you expressed in child abuse cases and the lack of respect for human life I truly admire and respect you.
I have a friend Who reminds me very much of you that I miss and unfortunately her choices in her life has made it so we have had to go down different paths but I miss her so when I watch your videos I feel like I get a little dose of her I hope that is not creepy to you but I love your morals I love your standards I think you’re great and I love what you’re doing thank you for this and all the awareness that you bringing into the world every and into peoples every day lives

  • @ldwilliams9686

I just found this. Are there any updates on Penelope and her present condition ?? So very sad.

  • @bunnabelle6343

me and penelope just became friends. she recently shared everything with me. i had no idea it was this serious and there were even videos like yours made about her. she is okay now, for the most part. sometimes the kids at school seem to make fun of her behind her back and it breaks my heart. she truly does deserve better, even now. thank you for bringing light to her situation.

p.s. i love your bonnie and clyde series so much!

  • @krisnkyle9834

I have never heard of someone as thin as you haveing lymphedema.

  • @denisejohnson1869

I'm with you. Love the Native. Eucalyptus Mint smells so clean.

  • @brining5138

I find it extremely distasteful that you have a long spiel about leaving an abusive relationship, but immediately followed it up by accusing Heather of being an antagonist. Does an abuser get a free pass if their victim antagonized them? Toxic relationships breed toxic coping mechanisms. Also, you mentioned numerous times about how difficult it was to research this case and wondered why seemingly no one else had made a video about it. Heather was using the internet to try to save the planet back in the infancy of the internet. I doubt it would be difficult for a woman of her acumen to keep her digital footprint at a minimum. As to why no one else or very few people reporting on this case? Perhaps they, too, found there was little to no information, but they decided against moving forward on a video or article without sufficient information. How refreshing🙏❤️☀️

  • @sara.says.

This is probably the weirdest yt comment ever been when you mentioned the deodorant crumbs lol I died bc lol sameee so I've been using the spray kind bc I just hate it. I kinda think I wanna try native now bc I see you talking about them often. I wish they offered a spray one bc now I can't seem to switch back to stick. Anyway happy Sunday 😊 and thanks for your videos especially this one bc yes I've never seen it elsewhere.

  • @yadiicopado5892

So glad to hear you homeschool. So do we🖤

  • @yadiicopado5892

So glad to hear you homeschool. So do we🖤

  • @koivunen2489

HOW was THAT a heartfelt video? All my alarms were going off, all the time he spoke!

  • @SusanaXpeace2u

Wow, what an abusive monster kevin was and Dr Phil is blaming Heather.

  • @JR-xw5nv

Wow, seems like Kevin and Heather both belong in jail.

  • @jewelz4217

I believe Penelope was used as a shield by her mother that's why she took her into battles so to speak. Then also used as a pawn by her father that's why he tried to get her to call her mother names.

  • @alexacordova2521

I don’t like leaving the house either

  • @chantellamollinet9039

Abuse is NEVER okay. And it does NOT get better.

  • @spacecowboybunnies5890

heather may have been “nagging” and considered toxic in any other normal relationship, but dr phil is literally hearing this woman describe a violent domestic abuse situation and trying to find how he can make it her fault 😭 im sorry that’s horrible

  • @angelang222

My heart goes out to Penelope only

  • @eternity7477

I doubt the father will have any patience. If anything, he is going to hold her responsible for what her mother did. That poor girl. I was married to a Kevin and I don't really fall for him being pushed. It took me to realize an abuser will always abuse no matter who the victim is to be able to finally leave him. Before that I always thought I just needed to say different words, have a different look on my face, behave differently and the abuse would stop. It doesn't.

  • @par3433

Omg I’m here for your sweater I didn’t think it was possible but I love you more knowing you also watch Gilmore girls 😍😍

  • @michhaynes7272

I'm not sure she should be with either of them to be honest. They both seem unstable 😕
