Whether Brian told his parents the truth or lied . Shouldn’t they be suspicious that something was wrong when he returned in gabbys can , if they didn’t think or know something was wrong. Then they must have been stupid or in denial. His parents had plenty time to find out that Brian killed her . Why else would he be driving her van . If she was alive I’m sure she would have wanted her van with her and Brian could have flew home on plane. They knew all along he killed her .that’s why they got that lawyer, and it should be illegal for anyone to retain a lawyer that’s known a family all their lives. Just crazy . I personally think they should be doing time behind bars, for life.

  • @annakey2111

They should have named the movie "no service in Yosemite"

  • @roguemarauder3154

Both of Brian’s parents should be charged

  • @autumnnart

So I wanted to let you guys know gabbys parents won the lawsuit and was rewarded 3m dollars to their estate (small victory for sure)

  • @jgoodie400

Sooooo to suggest that Brian straight up told his folks that he was gonna end his life and he needed time to pull that off and they just sat there and were like "ok go do what you gotta do" is something i can't wrap my head around

  • @Raczyna

Could Laundrie's killed their own son?

  • @CJR-bs7eu

I'm no longer confused as to why Brian was such a douche. Just look at his parents!

  • @dinagarcia2528

His parents knew he killed her!! You’re a better person than me, personally I’m thrilled they were harassed! I hope they never have another moment of peace in their lives. It was cruel, & heartless what they did to Gabby’s family! Though I would die for my children, I wouldn’t cover up a murder. My child would need to tell where her body is with a lawyer. As a parent you’d support your child, but not cover for them. I Hope Gabby’s family win. I wish they’d face criminal charges!

  • @FatalKoi

I know it's been forever sine you posted about this case, but what do you think of the conspiracy theories behind this? I know some people believe that the body was not actually Brian, that they paid off someone to say it was, and that they sent Brian out of the country.. I think their main evidence for this was from the letter from Brian's mom where she talks about nothing can destroy their love, not even "miles and miles and miles," and also states a couple of times that distance would not effect their love, and, of course, this is said after she tells him she would help him bury a body.. I'm just curious as to if you believe this could be plausible or not?
Thank you for the content,. As always, well researched and amazing. I hope you are doing well.

  • @lynylcullen8370

Calling it like it is! “Allegedly”! 😜
Love your research and clarity on all your content! Love Derrick too. Glad you have both platforms!

  • @Zombie_James92

I love my son more than anything. But if he came to me and said he killed someone, id hug him then drag him to the police. I wouldn't help him or cover up anything or let him take the cowards way out. Nope not happening.

  • @morbiundich803

Really ? I think that was from the beginning a cover up for Brian.I think more and more he was the golden child and could nothing do wrong!
Than i think my own child would do this to another human.I would deep breath .And with my child go to the police and talking to them.
1 helping to find closure for the family and grief.
2 helping her grieving too .
    3. Tell the story, fakts dates etc.
4.Stay by her side but she has to faces the consequences for the crime – because i love her and taught her if she does something wrong ,it would have consequences .

  • @gaylemoore9609

What she said to the “the other woman” was so invidious because “you’re a tripper I’m a nurse” no girl. You’re not a nurse. You flunked out of nursing school. “I’m rich your poor”. No girl. You work as a hostess in a day spa. I know what that pays. She makes more in one off night dancing than you do in a week at your job. Your Mercedes? A gift from mom and dad no doubt. You’re pretty?? Nah. You’re average. At best. And then n top of all of that you are a manipulative liar brat! I hope your ex finds happiness with that other girl cause he really dodged a bullet with you. Damn I hope Carlee sees this.

  • @MEMELIFEBABY

Sounds like Roberta laundrie watched too many cartoons when she said she’d bake him a cake with a hacksaw in it.

I think it was a completely terrible choice to retain Bertolino because he had known the family for so long that he was completely bias.
The fact that he gets angry, almost hostile over speculations about the case when his client's choices were the reason for the speculations.
The Laundries retained an attorney so they could protect Brian from law enforcement long enough for him to take his farewell tour. In my opinion, they knew Brian was going to take his own life, especially after seeing the contents of the "Burn After Reading" letter. This is all super sus and hopefully Gabby's family is successful in their lawsuit.
The Laundrie's comment was awful. They refused to help Gabby's family to find Gabby yet they make a public statement through Bertolino about how they "hope" Gabby is reunited with her family.
So basically Gabby's family was in the dark about Gabby's whereabouts until a Van Life Family video has footage of Gabby's van. Once they got close to Gabby's location, that's when they decided to make the public statement.
The Laundries absolutely knew what happened to Gabby, in my opinion. Their statement absolutely gave Gabby's family false hope. I believe that it was most definitely intentional.

  • @aniketsawant2240

In this world, there are the Amber Heards and then there are the unfortunate Gabby Petitos.
That cop who questioned Gabby seemed biased to me. Brian's parents deserve life in jail.

  • @babble2leeza

People can be so evil. My husband's ex wife threatened him to call cps on him. I just had my baby girl. She threatened to say he was hurting her because she wanted more money. This was in the late 1980s when cps pulled the children from homes before any investigation. I was so shocked and scared. What kind of person lies about something so horrible?! We went to court and to our surprise the court told her she had to get a job if she wanted anymore money than we were already paying. We told the court we would continue paying but wanted full custody because she was an addict. The court gave equal custody. 30yrs later my stepson is my son. He is 40yrs old now and has no contact with his mom. I wish this baby girl new love.❤

Making a hallmark movie will result in a tainted audience. Poisoning the potential jury is likely the goal.

  • @claireandclaws

Late commenter here but I definitely think the parents knew where the evidence was. And also would not be surprised if their son is actually alive and living in another country.

  • @cjdemeo8974

Stephanie, if your son was in Brian's spot, if he murdered someone, what would you do? Would you let the other parents know where their child was? Even if it meant your son would immediately be arrested and thrown in jail, probably with no hope of bail and definitely facing life in jail or the death penalty? My heart breaks for Gabby, and my sympathies go out to her parents. I feel nothing for Brian, but my sympathies also go to his parents as well. Although their son was a grown man, and a murderer, in their eyes I'm sure he was still their little baby boy. The complete lack of empathy here is disgusting to me. I don't know what I'd do if I were in that situation. Maybe I'd just listen to the lawyers like they did or maybe I'd give my son some cash and keys to the car.

I think Brian killing himself stole the justice, retribution and vengeance from Gabby's family and the public. I think that's why everyone is out for blood from the Laundries. They didn't kill Gabby. Brian did. He did it, and now he's dead too. Nothing will bring Gabby back or fill the void her death left in the hearts of her parents and her family. Gabby was taken from them. The Launrie's had to watch there son die… die a broken man, a murder. Does anyone really think they haven't been through enough?

  • @mayarodriguezsrensen6904

I'm mesmerized by your coffee preparation.

  • @kalel311superman9

your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's , i really enjoy your videos

  • @djlibby8805

While it's true that the evidence was all circumstantial, it's obvious that Brian did it and his parents helped him cover it up. "Allegedly" my ass.

  • @zombbae

Does anyone know if Stephanie has done the baby Mary Welsh? I’m really interested if she has and if anyone can tag me because I can’t find it. Thank you ❤

  • @zombbae

Please review the movie if it comes out. I say if because it shouldn’t come out because it’s STILL too soon. A year and a half later.

  • @dogmomma4life845

They were hindering prosecution, Brian was wanted for credit card fraud, there was a warrant issued for him and they were accessories after the fact. The fact that they contacted their attorney is proof that Brian told them about Gabby. You don't get an attorney if a crime hasn't been committed. They also cleaned out Gabby's van and helped to hide Brian. They need to pay the consequences.

  • @lauralee7956

I wonder if the Laundries have done mercy kills before. I believe they knew their son was going to kill himself and that they gave their blessing to him

  • @uncool777girl3

I would love to see them behind bars. Ah that'll teach them a good lesson

  • @joannewolftail5790

OF COURSE THE LAUNDRIE PARENTS KNEW.
