HEY EVERYONE! I DONT KNOW WHY THE INTRO MUSIC ISNT PLAYING! IT SOUNDS FINE IN THE ORIGINAL FILE AND IN FINAL CUT, SO IT MUST BE A YOUTUBE THING BUT DON'T WORRY, ILL FIGURE IT OUT AND THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!

  • @lissam956

I doubt she would be alive today if the friends have talked about him saying he was going to stab someone. Let’s say they would have gone to the cops, what would the cops do? They didn’t even charge guy that sexually assaulted a teenager, let alone charge someone for just saying something.

  • @maureenhawes1598

    I figured out Patreon

  • @maureenhawes1598

Hey I have been looking for this show on Patreon and cannot find it granted, I’m a great grandmother who is very electronically challenged. However, I can find Crime Time where am I going wrong?? I will keep looking for an answer on this episode. Hopefully you’ll see it. I’m such a dingbat.

  • @maureenhawes1598

I think this is one of my favorite pairs of glasses on you. I love those frames they look beautiful.

  • @rachelcombs9858

If I had ever done anything like that, I would be safer in jail than with my parents!!

  • @Taswolf

The fact he posted that comment about her when he was in the squad car could lead people to believe others were involved. It was almost similar to other cases where the perpetrator called to confirm the hit. He's announcing to at least someone he got it done, basically. Whether it was bragging (which is probably more likely) or informing others involved that he got it done, who knows; but, it sure looked suspicious of possible involvement of others.

  • @maryroberta8094

His parents should have definitely turned him in. If he could butcher a young girl like that, who's to say who would be next? I couldn't sleep under the same roof. What if he was upset if you disciplined him ?

  • @anita6761

    Public defender is disgusting

  • @darlenecarpenter753

I appreciate the amount of research you do. With all due respect, your knowledge of the legal system could use some work. Defense attorneys do what the title implies. In general, they don’t turn down high profile cases because they find the defendant distasteful. They turn them down because they realize they will not be compensated for the hundreds of hours they would spend.
Everyone is entitled to a strong defense. Everyone.

  • @vanessarivera032

To answer your question, would rather visit my child in jail, then watch a mother lose her child. I couldn’t live with myself. I pray that none of us in the comments will ever have to be put in the situation.

  • @dahliacheung6020

Thank you for getting onto the mom for making the taxpayers pay for her sons lawyer and for washing the jeans. And mentioning the dad's crimes! You went in on these parents more than anyone else who has covered the case and I think that's really important. I don't think Aiden was ever properly disciplined (and I do NOT mean hitting) but that is just my opinion as a stranger and outsider in all this.

But mostly thank you for the strong focus on Tristyn. I was also crying all through her celebration of life; her family and loved ones really paid beautiful tribute to this absolutely wonderful young girl who was taken from the world far too soon.

  • @crystalh7978

You are the MOST thorough true crime YouTuber I’ve come across, and I love how you give the victims and their families voices. Please do a follow up video now that the trial is over.

  • @vpierce3842

My first instinct would be to protect my son I would be in denial, but with more thought no I don’t think I would tamper with evidence if I had time to think about it

  • @vpierce3842

It’s really easy to vilify Crystal Smith with her son did was egregious however, she is a Mother protecting her son. I absolutely think she should be held accountable but I don’t think it makes her a horrible person. Is there anything your children could do that would make you not love them.

That poor baby and her parents 😢

Stephanie, a murder like this is called overkill which usually means the victim knew their attacker.

  • @debbieenglish2061

    Didn't want a commercial

  • @stefanie9072

As of March 24. 2023 the murderer has been sentenced to life in prison 🎉

  • @Rainbowofthefallen

Just commenting for the algorithm 🖤🤎💜

  • @alishavillard689

The beginning of this video got me. 😢 No way would I help. You did it, you pay for it. Are there any updates on this case?

  • @KS-rn6he

The mother didn't know at that time that he killed her with cold blood.

  • @KS-rn6he

She wouldn't be alive. You can't sentence or limit the freedom of someone just because they said they are going to do something. You couldn't protect her either. He might not even know until that night it is going to be her.

  • @corissawilliams3926

I would be dragging my kid into the police station by their ear.

  • @corissawilliams3926

I will say Stephanie, that he is probably pretending that he wants to defend him.

  • @corissawilliams3926

Let’s take a moment and applaud his friends who confirmed the weapon and the friends who screenshotted the Snapchat.

  • @alexk1018

So his family should pay the bill you say. Well wasnt he charged as an adult (I don't agree with this but) since he is a "adult" now shouldn't the responsibly fall on him to get a lawyer. And since he has no job and therefore no money still lead him to a public defender. What he did was henus and awful. Not saying he shouldn't be in jail till he's 50 but still all court cases make precedent and I don't like how this is making there's. Even if it was one of my own daughters I would want him put away forever but I would still want a fair trial for him. We still (as far as this video) don't know why he did it. And especially if that was my kid that would matter alot to me in the sentencing phase. I mean any reason where your child is gone is devastating but if it was random I would want his to seek psychiatric help cuz that seems a lil crazy to me. If it was he liked her and she didn't like him back well that speaks to society and how he's was taught to treat women possibly. Idk if it was my child I would want to know not just so I could throw the book at him. I wanna find out why kids do this in the first place and why is happening more and more. I don't think its an case by case thing. I think its a collective.

  • @alexk1018

Idk if I'd go so far as evidence tampering. I'm definitely not trying to go down with them. But strangly enough I think ( and I think my add and bi polar might be playing a role in here) I think I could forgive them and eventually not judge them over it. Nothing my kids do can dwindle my love for them, maybe my respect and trust but never the love.

  • @alexk1018

I still don't get how we can charge kids as adults. There not 25 there brain isn't done growing they only have kid reasoning. I would say that killing someone over anything really is childish. Idk about all of yall kids but thats the first way my kids wanted to deal with problems…just eliminate the problem I had to teach them to think an talk it out. I just don't see how its legal to say this kid has the rational decision making skills of a 25 year old. I just don't get it. And yes I do no think that 18 – 25 years olds adult either. We decided an arbitrary age to say someone is an adult when now science can tell u we were wrong its 25.

  • @irenestrmnss4496

IT S ALMOST LIKE THE OXFORD SCHOOL SHOOTER AND HIS PARENTS. HAPPEND NOT LONG AGO.

  • @pattyking6730

Okay, I was slicing yellow squash and zucchini while watching this. I got a wild hair and decided to just stand and stab the air 114 times. It took 2 minutes! That's way longer than you might think! That's without the knife actually penetrating anything. My arm was soo tired! What a horrific crime!

  • @KathyTrithardt

Looks like this finally went to trial this year and he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, thank goodness.

  • @goldieryun-or1zv

Here in this state I live when a bail bonds , bond anyone out of jail a small portion of that bond money is paid out of that bond by the bail bonds to the sheriff department and I'm told it goes towards paying public defender's,

  • @gabriellejohnson7324

The reason why a person pleads Not Guilty is so they can possibly get a deal or lesser sentence. If you immediately plead Guilty, you can only be given the full/harshest sentence.

  • @deadlyneko6484

If that was my kid, that little spawn od satan would be tossed right to the nearest police station the moment I would see blood on his jeans. Washing them? No way! And in the interrogation room I would slap his little ass every time he would have lied. No question whatsoever.

Would I still love him? Yes, probably. But that family lost their daughter because of his actions. He must pay. Plus he's crazy and unfit for living within society, so it would be better for him to stay behind bars.

  • @origamipein18

She would've gone on to do more great things. 😢

  • @MooWuu

Aiden is a piece of trash and I wish his parents could just throw him away. God bless Tristyns family and friends. I honestly could never stand by my child’s side if they did this and his parents sticking by him and ever covering up for him really speaks volumes. This kid was probably never told no and never understood that his actions have consequences. Well aiden hope ur happy behind bars, maybe u can think about something for once in ur life.

  • @SRLevine7

I was trying so hard not to cry when I heard the family talk about their daughter. Stephanie, thank you for putting this clip in. That poor family. My heart truly goes out to them.

  • @Publixbread

For anyone interested, Aiden has been sentenced to life in prison!

  • @donnie96

I'm an only child, I spent my whole childhood wishing I had a family like the Baileys. Even though they may have had disagreements over the years, those siblings love each other so much. My heart breaks for this family the friends and the community. She was such a kind, loving, caring soul. Words cannot express the depth of my sorrow over her loss. I pray for peace and comfort for this family.

  • @Rissa89

Shares a name with my sister, Tristan ❤

  • @critical-goat363

This hurts to hear, this is my younger brothers name. It makes the case feel more personal.

  • @sarahreynolds5329

I honestly dont know what I would do if one of my kids had done this. I like to think I wouldn’t tamper with evidence but I don’t know. I don’t think any mother honestly knows until they’re in that situation
