There should be no statute of limitation for child abuse, or sexual assault against a child. Hell, against anyone. That trauma lasts years, decades, and sometimes lifetimes. They shouldn’t get an easy out

unfortunately the troubled teen industry is still very much a thing with hundreds of facilities, including "nature retreats," just like the home mentioned in this video all over the world. the stories I've read from survivors are horrific, they're stripped of their childhoods and traumatized for life!

I think John is responsible. He likely tried to rape her while they were alone together in the home and she fought back which led to her death. This is complete speculation but makes the most sense and is something that happens a lot. RIP Carol

I have seen theories that they made the reconstructions deliberately eerie to have them stick in peoples minds but still with some of the features the person would have had but exaggerated so they might get peoples attention and jog memories. But even so, i think they went too far this time!! New bethany reminds me of the type of ranches Dr phil sent poor teenagers to. Id love a deep dive into the fuller story. There should be no statute of limitations on child abuse as it can take so long for them to get their voices heard. I feel so bad for francis and her brother. Their dad let them find that body, no doubt traumatising them, and given his behaviour to them and others, i believe he did it.

My mom was murdered in Tacoma, Washington in 1987. Her killer was caught and convicted but I still don't know why. And no explanation from her killer will make it better. I can't believe that you complained about the unidentified people's identities being figured out. They were people. Someone loved them and has wondered what happened to them. Their closure matters so much more than your satisfaction 😢

Just thinking here… Maybe John Cheshin had connections with the Bethany home for girls (brought girls there, abused girls, friends with owners, etc) & the owners of the home had John hunt & murder Carole. Maybe Carole knew too much about what was going on behind closed doors & had escaped to expose the Bethany home for girls.
