My Stepdad is related to Al Capone, he used to have a house here in my small town in Michigan out in a area we all call purgatory. It got burned down anlong time ago.

My dad’s uncle moved to Chicago from the south. He returned home in a pine box. The death certificate said he died of lead poisoning. Thing is, he had bullet holes in his body. Come to find out, he had worked as a bookie for Capone. The family did not dig any further into it.

Never thought I'd actually sit and listen to someone talk about gangs and mafias. Everyone goes nuts over the idea, but it's one of the few things I find to be extremely boring and it just doesn't catch my attention.
When you talk about it?? Completely enraptured. Absolutely have forgotten I find the topic boring.
You're just an amazing story teller and your research is divine.

So I guess you will be more inclined to become a mobster if you're a Capricorn and a serial killer if you are a Scorpio. 😅

It'd be incredible if you covered Greek mythology. Or Zeus. I'd love for you to cover something like that.

  • @nicoleweiler1105

Sometimes Stephanie says her father is Italian and sometimes she says he's French. Is he both?? Just curious.

My Gramps worked with the Irish gangs in East Dubuque, Iowa. He married a sweet little Irish lass, Marie Callahan. The Irish funded a car rental business for my Gramps and ran moonshine during prohibition.

I literally just started this video but already had to pause because you were mentioning you loved gangster movies and you specifically mentioned "A Bronx Tale" as one of them. I have actually never seen it but fun fact I'm also from Yonkers as is the main kid in the movie. I don't know his characters name (is it Sonny? I have no idea why that just popped into my head, I'm probably just making it up) but anyway the actor who played him, Lilo Brancato, is also from Yonkers and is a real piece of work. He went to school with one of my best friends growing up and used to bully him all the time for being gay (well he wasn't even out but it was fairly obvious). Anyway I'm not a fan. Of him I mean, nothing against the movie. The Sopranos is one of my favorite shows (have you seen it? If not do yourself a favor and check it out, incredible show) and he was in that too but I don't hold it against the show. Goodfellas is one of my all time favorite movies too btw. Ok, now back to our regularly scheduled program….

Chicago is an easy city to make money as a half-a- wise guy, New York on the other hand is much tougher, too many toes to step on!
