Didn't realize I would have to clarify this, but here we go. I do not use Adderal recreationally, I am prescribed it by a doctor for my ADD, which I have been very vocal about for years, and I have been taking this medication for years. I was very happy that it allowed me to laser in and focus on work during the days I was sick, even if for a few hours, because otherwise I would have been walking around the house miserable that I was too foggy headed to do anything besides feel sorry for myself because I was sick. As with anything else, when I mention that I am using something, or taking something, etc… I am speaking only for myself and my body, and I am not giving you any advice on what to do for yourself and your body. I only live in my body, so I can only know what works for me and fits in my life. I am prescribed a medication to help me, and it is helping me, and has helped me for almost a decade… didn't think that was a hot take or controversial. Have a great day everyone, and let's keep the focus on Ellen Greenberg, who is the reason we are here today. Thanks.

Unrelated to the actual true crime story, but I’ve heard a lot of Audible ads over the past few years and this was the first time I’ve ever thought “hmm, that actually sounds like a pretty cool deal” lol

  • @Algimantaz

Im not exactly sure what exactly it is about this case that haunts me so.. Im watching this for the second or third time… something about this psychopath ‘discovering’ the knife in her chest.. his tone so casual.. This case stands out to me for how singularily blood curdlingly horrific it is, plus the absolute absurdity of concluding it as suicide

  • @user-zl6io8rf9i

This is just for Ellen my hearts, prayers and thoughts are with u and ur family I think u deserve a 🎉🎉 to be celebrated

  • @user-zl6io8rf9i

Ok I know I'm writing another one but I think her boyfriend did it she had her bk to him and that's when he did the stabs to her neck to paralyzed her that way she couldn't have done anything to get help or stop him😢😢 but my love goes out to her and her family❤❤ prayers, always remember there's justice by court then he has to face the big man in the end

  • @user-zl6io8rf9i

And if they say it wasn't homicide they should have gotten a second opinion

  • @user-zl6io8rf9i

He got paid for it the dude that did autopsy

  • @lynntucker8179

I remember this I live in Philadelphia. I was I. College at the time this happened. I always felt the finance did it. This was weird thing. This was so sad and still nothing that no one has been caught. KARMA WILL BE VISITED SOONER THEN LATER.

  • @alicja4139

That’s why Michael Peterson was hanging up the 911 call. The more they talk, the more difficult is to keep an act on🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @rinash1706

"She stabbed herself" is giving me "and then he ran into my knife ten times".

  • @iridizousa8578

I'm sorry but "Oh my god! She stabbed herself! :D" sent me. Who does this guy think he's fooling?

  • @juliagritzbach

I definitely think Sam did it!

  • @tmc115

Police officers are just humans doing their jobs and humans are lazy. So if they can write anything off as a suicide that makes their job easier. It’s a less work that they have to do. I’m sure they have a lot on their plates already and it’s just like oh great yeah it’s a suicide. It’s not excusable. That’s your job is to not be lazy. Put the bad guys away. But that’s what happens

  • @lilmrnstr

1:08:44 I completely agree that the latch is a complete set up. I would also like to point out how small those screws are. That wouldn't keep anyone out! If those are the actual screws, I highly recommend people go install much more substantial screws because that isn't going to do anything for your safety.

  • @eileenruane1464

    i think he sounds legiit

  • @stealthecatwalk

I've watched this eons ago… These damn broccoli 🥦 gummies, @Stephanieharlowe and her sassy comments with that wit! Im here for it!

  • @jennifernicewonger8273

It's awful acting! He's so faking it all!

  • @jimd8008

    Its Philadelphia. What was expected?

  • @junebuchholtz287

I remember this case…Gavin Fish covered it extensivly…. So sad

  • @AnnieRuler216

No invoice for autopsy? Did someone with access complete this report? Did it not make local news at time?

  • @AnnieRuler216

When my partner’s have been abusive, I cower and got nervous too…Not willing to get out, did not admit to being micromanaged and in fear…Ellen may have felt financially trapped?

  • @AnnieRuler216

@Stephanie Harlowe I thought of a way he could possibly have pulled that locking gadget to flip closed? He could have used fishing line ‘after’ she killed herself.., got it locked, kicked in as if just happened? Was door really locked? How do hotels enter if a guest can’t open the door?

  • @AnnieRuler216

You asked the biggest question, who made the ‘suicide’ call ON a back stabbing?

  • @user-tn7fs2ym3h

Why do cops always go with “suicide”

  • @lauraryan3271

Stephanie I love you butttt as someone who found someone they loved deceased and emergency services dispatcher asked me to do resuscitation I can confidently say that in the moment it was horrendous and I could only do chest compressions because I was crying, hysterical and fluids were omitting from everything in my face, I couldn’t compose myself to start mouth to mouth…. I loved the bones of the person I found, I would have done anything for them, however, finding them deceased was traumatic, doing chest compressions was traumatic and being in a moment like that will be burned into my brain for a million life times… I was a complete mess, when the medics arrived I was an emotional wreck, one min composed, the next manic, then hysterical, I don’t think this man was suspicious in the moments after he found his fiancé dead… but Michael Peterson that’s a different story, lol. I try not to judge… we can never know how we will react in a moment of chaos and trauma. His behaviour after the fact was a little more suspicious but still… I’ve not been in his situation I don’t know….

  • @corinacoady2183

Ok. He didnt see a 10 inch knife sticking out of his chest? If i found a loved one on the floor bleeding i would be down on my knees next to them trying to resuscitate them or atleast find where their bleeding from…but im guessing thats what an innocent person might do right?. He didnt want to go near her because he killed her and didnt want to fuck up the stage he had set

  • @dawngrimes7361

I've seen the show and never believed she did that to herself, I can't explain the locked door but I just do not believe she did that to herself 😢 THAT HEIFER LAUGHED ON THAT CALL!!!!!!!! I hope he's doing life without parole

  • @CaraMills0106

Stephanie, I have no idea why but your voice is one of the few that I love to listen too. I have stopped podcast whenever the voice is annoying.

  • @Rainbowofthefallen

Just commenting for the algorithm 💙❤️

  • @that1mommy597

I do want to say that my husband is in the Army and he regularly works out in hus army boots, which could be "Timberland-style". Its supposed to help support the ankle. Not that this guy is innocent in anyway, just a small piece of info

  • @heathermcpherson9047

He doesn't sound like he's laughing on the 911 call…it sounds like he's gagging to me….several times, it sounds like he's gagging to me…

  • @katherinerobinson

(43:20) She Googled pain free ways to commit suicide… but then "stabbed herself" numerous times, including the back of her head? This is so not a suicide. I can't believe nothing was looked into.

  • @susiemorris2334

I'd agree regarding the swing latch. Firstly, you can easily put a swing stop on upon leaving by using a piece of string, looped around the swing arm. You can retrieve it once the door is shut – simple.

  • @eochaidhoghachruithne

I've been gang-stalked for around 20 years. From my experience Sam was mean to Ellen from the beginning because he wanted her to commit suicide. When she didn't he killed Ellen. This seems to me to be the case in all cases of spousal/friend-abuse. Unlike me, Ellen and most other female victims lived with or had to get close to their bullies. I just give them the finger in messages on social media and in E-mails loaded with fake information. All women should live alone. They can socialize during daylight. But, at night they can "(I) Drink Alone" behind locked doors. If their boyfriend, Ted Bundy, knocks on their door, give him the finger and tell him to come back tomorrow when it's light out.

  • @user-zw6lw7qh1o

Have had the flu the past week and have spent most of my time listening to you and love your take on these cases.

  • @hannamcvay1527

I think that 911 operator knows he’s full of shit. Shes like don’t come at me with that bullshit

  • @Giants6uy51

Well since we are discussing what you put in your body, tell me, did you eat the WHOLE JAR OF AWESOME SAUCE?!?
Love your channel. Keep it up ❤

  • @jeanettedilts8164

The fact that you can tell by his voice and things he said during the 911 call ( my opinion ) he did it . How did she get to the sitting position with her back against the cabinet ? Hes lied about so much , he lied about the guy being there when he kicked the door in , we know that was a lie. This case screams her fiancés guilty … there's no proof he seriously had to kick the door in ( that was staged in my beliefs ) He needs to be in jail in my opinion . So could someone please explain to me how someone commits suicide by stabbing themselves 20 time ? And were suppose to look up to these people that doesnt do their job properly in investigating a crime ? Allowing people to come in and take her personal belongings ? What is going on with these police departments anymore … theres way too many people walking out there who should be locked up !! Oh yeah , her fiancé has a relative thats higher up … that explains it all !! So thats why hes able to walk free ( this is usually the case why some people get away with murder !! I follow true crime with no experience and can clearly see hes guilty !! All my opinion !!
