On April 6, 2011, Detectives arrived at the scene are greeted by images of a scorched home. What happened? Well, 30-year-old Bryan Durfey and 24-year-old Ashley Dunn murdered 50-year-old Guy Daelemans. Detectives determined it to be a love triangle involving drugs and betrayal, since Guy had become a State informant and recorded evidence against Bryan. Ashley seemed to be dating both of them, but when Guy was involved in an undercover drug deal that could have landed Bryan in jail for drug dealing, the two plotted against Guy. Ashley shot him in the head and then Bryan attempted to cover up the murder by pouring gasoline all over the house and lighting it on fire.
