Ok, im a mom of a child that has mental issues. I dont want to call them disabilities because she is not disabled. I have to tell you if my daughter just watched me suffer and watched the search, i would feel a way and thats saying it lightly. That mom thought her daughter could have been dead for 4 years. The pain that she was put thru is unspeakable and her daughter is still living with the man that could have caused this. I understand when she left she was a child. I understand she is autistic and is probably a victim but shes litterally with him right now and she just never tried to contact her mother to tell her she was ok.I dont know what to think. Its really complicated.

Why wasn’t Alicia able to comprehend or care about how her leaving would impact her family? She put her mother through hell. She wasn’t kidnapped. She willingly left her home.

Imagine how her mother felt when she first got that call or was first told that Alicia was alive & well, when she had probably accepted that she might never see her daughter again. So many of these cases end in horror. Although Alicia has likely been through a lot of grooming/abuse the last 4 years, I'm so grateful that she turned up alive. Thank God 🙏🏼

This is the most informative video ive watched yet. Something is definitely off about the whole situation and i hope whoever helped her run away or groomed this girl is held accountable and punished to the full extent of the law. Idk why but this case has stuck with me ever since i first heard about it back when it first happened. im happy she is safe and was found. Ive seen alot of people saying that its not the publics business about where she's been and the details of what happened to her throughout these years but the public definitely deserves answers because alot of public resources went into helping find her. Im all for giving her privacy and allowing her to live her life in peace but its very outlandish that we are told Don't worry about the details shes found and thats all we need to know.

UPDATE: The man has been arrested for child pornography on his cell phone. Alicia is living with her mom now.

Well, I'm confused. Usually the police and others are not so secretive. Plus I think she went to her local DMV just to get her license not to turn herself in. I don't know who that old creepy guy is if he was the one she was communicating with online and she ran away to be with him and wants to remain with him? The short video of the girl made me feel scared for her, she seemed so confused and scared, well especially if the's autistic. I hope you can find out more answers.

As someone who is First Nations, I found some of your comments about the rez pretty ignorant. Inter generational trauma in a communities is real. Having our children stolen and sent to residential schools and then abused and raped and beaten by priest and nuns and sometimes killed has really affected our peoples.

I defer to Occam's Razor, I am guessing that she met this man online. He likely misrepresented his age and his intent. She has a mild developmental condition, making her more vulnerable. He lured her out of her home. What he ultimately did with her is debatable, but most likely he groomed her for sexual gratification and companionship. After some time, Stockholm must have kicked in.

If I was her mum I wouldn't want anything to do with her. If her main objective for getting herself off of the missing person's list was so she could get her driver's license instead of lets see, let her mother who has been searching for her for the past four years – know that is is a live and well then she is a selfish little bitch. And for both Alicia and the mum to not publicly say what the hell happened in the past four years probably means Alicia chose everything that she did and doesn't want to come off as a crazy lunatic which she probably is.
