Fresh Investigation into Gilgo Beach Serial Killings

Hey, so today we are diving into one of the most chilling true crime cases of all time. It’s the story of the Zodiac Killer. This guy terrorized the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s and early 1970s, sending cryptic letters to the police and local newspapers. He claimed to have killed 37 people, but only confirmed seven victims. The scariest part? He was never caught.

The Zodiac Killer’s first confirmed attack was on December 20, 1968. He shot and killed two teenagers in a remote area of Vallejo, California. He continued his killing spree over the next few years, targeting young couples parked in lovers’ lanes. He would approach them with a flashlight and a gun, then shoot them at point-blank range.

The Zodiac Killer taunted the police with letters filled with cryptograms and codes. He demanded they be published in newspapers, threatening more killings if they weren’t. The most famous cipher, known as the Z340, has never been cracked. Some believe it holds the key to the killer’s identity.

Despite an extensive investigation and numerous suspects, the Zodiac Killer was never caught. He disappeared from the public eye in 1974, leaving behind a trail of unsolved murders. To this day, the case remains open, and many amateur sleuths continue to investigate in the hopes of finally uncovering the identity of the Zodiac Killer.
