  • @MotherOfBaggins

I looked up the nickname and cackled so hard I think I almost manifested a Disney witch.

  • @emmasurf8768

Late response but it was in Job 19:20

  • @steviefcks

During the world fair. Really crazy and bizarre. I read this one like ten years ago.

  • @christycofer1889

Best true crime investigator out there. Unreal detail and story telling skills.

  • @amyambo1

Teeth have very little room in between each tooth, with skin separating the next. ❤ Like flossing, you'll sometimes bleed on the gums – skin between your teeth., Thank you and you're welcome. Let me know if I'm wrong, please 🤗😁♥️

  • @MB-rt8vi

Skin of my teeth is from the book of Job. Job was afflicted with a skin disease that affected his entire body but his gums, which he called the skin of his teeth.

  • @DannyWallsPratt

Come on now. I don't watch you for your brains (which are awesome). I watch for a woman's true value.
    YOU'RE WEARING TOO MUCH CLOTHING!

  • @cookiemonstersgirl5630

Bailey Sarian's video of H.H. Holmes, (posted 3 weeks ago), suuuucks compared to yours!!
Which, btw, I saw 2 years ago.

    Love you Steph!

  • @ZaptheZombie

Skin of your teeth just means the outer layer of your teeth. It basically means you get away, but just barely. Like imagine if someone goes to cut you and instead of breaking the skin on your arm the just scrape the edge of your teeth.

  • @SRLevine7

Amazing video as always! This video covers more than any book or documentary I've ready about him. VERY impressive!

  • @louishamilton9648

Holmes was a sick piece of work.

  • @bibbidibobbidibitch2306

watching this for a psychology project 😂

  • @daniellegleason248

You are one of my all time favorite youtube content creators, but dude! You kinda ruined HH Holmes for me. I didn't realize all the myths surrounding the Murder Castle and it and he were AWFUL, don't get me wrong, but the killings were more about greed and logic than I thought.

  • @JChris143

I went to high school with a Kenny Mudgit. I was the editor of the paper slash year book and I “accidentally “ mistyped the n in Ken to an r so that I could call him kermudgit whenever I wanted. He did not appreciate it.

  • @xTashleyx

I own a 1911 copy of a book about sex trafficking and Holmes used just about every tactic they talk about in there on Amaline. Poor girl.

  • @HW-vs2of

I literally couldn’t find his nickname. All I seen was beast of Chicago

  • @izabellaSands

Was HH Holmes also Jack the Ripper ?

  • @candyfairy3974

Actually, I’m pretty sure that legal donating of bodies didn’t start until the later 1800s. Before that the bodies were sourced from criminals and unclaimed bodies from the morgue and of course the black market. So that skeleton wouldn’t have chosen to be there.

Ahhhh, Miss Stephanie. You sent me down a rabbit hole…but not for the reasons you may think. My rabbit hole was in regards to your intro/outro song. Normally, I'll skip through a video's intro, but yours keeps me from doing that. I watch your videos while crocheting and I'm not gonna lie, I would normally skip through the whole intro thing, but the first time I heard this song on one of your videos, I stopped dead. I really love songs like this with the hard driving beat, the powerful voice, the story the song tells, and it's taken me this long ( a long time, lol) to finally investigate to get the whole song, lolol! You chose wisely because normally once you're done with the content the video is about…and, again, I'm not gonna lie…I skip the whole plugging and move on to the next video. Now, I just busy myself until the outro plays. It's one of the things that keep me coming back time and again to your videos…aside from the awesome way to tell us the story of the video, but that's another whole comment, lolol. It just goes to show that every facet of putting out videos like these is extremely important, from the content itself to the setting up and winding down of a video. Now, if I would hear this song outside of Youtube, I would only think of you and your routine of making your coffee, getting ready to tell us a story. I don't know how you came to choose this song, but I'm awfully glad you did! Not a fan of the sponsor plugs (they take too long, lol), but hey, a woman's gotta do what she's gotta do, lol.

  • @Barbarabarbarabarbara

    I MOUSTACHE YOU A QUESTION

  • @teresawyeth6746

By the skin of ones teeth is found in the book of Job in the bible

  • @chuckfina7189

I do hate it when someone uses my moostache wax!

  • @JaimeMesChiens

The phrase, “by the skin of (one’s) teeth,” has ancient origins in verse 20 of chapter 19 of the Book of Job in the Bible.

Describing the illness that has made him so sick that he barely has anything left of his body, Job says,

“My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth."

By the skin of one’s teeth means just barely, by a narrow margin, just in time.

  • @jessebowen1879

Omfg I read the same book… like you I love it… still have it I believe curled up cover and all…

  • @shenanitims4006

How did he talk himself out of a dead baby being found under his bed?

I assume his landlord understood he was a medical student. I also assume she knew the, as you explained earlier, standard practice of medical students having to practice on real cadavers. So explaining it away wouldn’t be too difficult; if he had to explain it at all.

  • @meatpopsicle882

I did a college paper on Holmes, they probably thought I was insane 😔 very interesting man and story

  • @TheMegWrites

This was great! But I can't stop admiring your glasses. May I ask where you got them or how I could find them? Thank you!

  • @mariatyler3608

A true story teller!!!! Your amazing stephanie!!! I cant listen to anyone else now lol

  • @gabriellestone4188

I'm so glad you talked to Adam! He is so knowledgeable and cares about the truth.

  • @MOTANFOUTUNE

"By the skin of his teeth" Badly translated from the book of Job (ch19, par20).
This concern the gum more than the teeth.
