No. I will not voluntarily submit my genetic coding to any database without probably cause and a warrant. I understand your myopic perspective that pretends the only use for that DNA and for those databases would be solving crimes. However, you should research the numerous other exploits such databases could lead to. The potential for abuses of that information is numerous. Private corporations have proven they can't keep our credit card and personal information secure. This means there's no way they can be trusted to keep our genetic information secure.

When the government announced it wanted to take samples of all Americans to create a nationwide database of DNA, the people rightfully fought back. So, they had private corporations con people into submitting their DNA … and then got them to pay for the genetic coding.

When the government announced interest in implanting computer chips into people for tracking purposes, the people rightfully fought back. So, they had cell phone manufacturers imbed the tracking software in cell phones so everyone who carries a phone is now essentially chipped.

No. It disgusts me that the U.S, is a more potent surveillance state than East Germany was during the cold war. freedoms mean nothing anymore.

I read a book about 10 years ago where the author looked into why historic unsolved murders aren't solved by CODIS entries. One theory is that DNA can change if the owner moves to new environments far enough away from their own historic environments.
If generations live in an area then a generation moves away quite young, their DNA changes to adapt to the new environment. DNA Tech advances quickly and may overcome this theoretical problem. Not that this case would be affected by that theory.

We ALL have something. ALL of us. Period.

Practically right up the street and I've never heard of this case. Horrifying for her father/parents to witness.. Also for the murderer's family to find out what their loved one has done. God bless the families that remain. Rest, Jodine🙏🏽❤️

This is quite possibly the most mortifying thing ever to walk in on ever- then having to live with the fact that you walked in on it and weren’t aware enuff to realize she didn’t move or make a single sound in surprise when you walked in and the guy just got away.

Even though it’s unfortunate that her killer cannot be brought to justice but I am glad that her parents are still alive when they finally found out the truth because in most of these cases parents or other family members will pass away without ever finding out what happened to their loved ones.
