As a seasoned crime investigator with a keen eye for detail, I meticulously combed through the transcript of the suspect’s interrogation. Every word, every pause, every inflection in their voice was analyzed for any hidden clues or inconsistencies.

It was evident from the suspect’s demeanor and evasive answers that they were trying to conceal important information related to the violent assault that took place on the night of the crime. The victim’s injuries were consistent with a targeted attack, indicating a personal motive behind the crime.

As I delved deeper into the suspect’s alibi, discrepancies began to emerge, casting doubt on their credibility. Their conflicting statements and refusal to provide a solid alibi only served to raise further suspicion in my eyes.

It was clear to me that this was not a crime of opportunity, but a calculated act of aggression. The suspect’s attempts to deflect blame and mislead investigators only reinforced my belief that they were directly involved in the heinous crime.

I remained focused and determined to uncover the truth, knowing that my meticulous attention to detail would ultimately lead to justice being served for the victim.

Do you think Bryan will go to trial or take a plea?

  • @collegeri

I hope he confesses one day and tells the hole story so that we know. I think Xana said someone is here, she was closer to D’s room.

I watch more about this every day, and the longer I watch the more I am amazed that most have tried and convicted BK. There are still so many questions I have and wonder how everyone can decide he did it and deserves to get the death penalty?
My biggest concerns are why it took so long to call 911.
Now there is the destruction of the house and it feels like what are they hiding. What don't they want anyone to see?
He may well be the killer, but there are way too many questions.

  • @MellyLyn958

Annie…I can believe you. I've heard from another podcast about TUNNELS in or around the 1122 King Road. It's December 2323…… have you heard anything about this?
In my opinion, there is so much trash being spread. Thanks, Annie!!! Melody

  • @CajunMFN

If this happened after the food was delivered wouldn’t they be awake to have eaten the food or was the food still uneaten? Edit: is this a legit question or did I miss something?

  • @CajunMFN

The roommate went into fight or flight mode and her mind shutdown after she fled into her room because she was so scared that’s my thought anyway, I feel bad for her that it wasn’t something she could control.

  • @Horselady65

Thanks for covering all of these cases.

  • @PaulaakaPaben

The longer I hear this story the more I am thinking there has to be more then one person doing this! I think Bryan may still have been a part of it! I think it was drug related, or someone owed Money! I also think the other 2 girls were warned or were not there!

  • @chainmailcatmom8681

It is incredibly cool and interesting to hear from an actual fbi profiler!!!!!!!! He does/studies everything I’m interested in and would’ve pursued had I wanted to go further in my psych degree. Thank you for your work and for sharing Annie 🙂

  • @jakebrady817

We had snow. Footprints? I live in Spokane and Idaho had snow as well if there was so much blood there should be able to track that and Footprints Footprints for sure. My biggest question.. Maybe prosecution has that.

  • @cawalterscook

Is it a fact that Brian had actually taken Kaylee ( forgive my spelling if its wrong) out once. And during that encounter, Brian made a crude comment and Kaylee immediately left on her own? I dont want to add anything that is completely untrue but i thought something like that was mentioned. Maybe just speculation way back when we didnt know anything?

  • @ashleyolney3092

Absolutely loved Mike being on this episode! He's an awesome addition for input on cases! Very knowledgeable and great at explaining these types of situations and understanding what happened.

  • @MamaMia0321

Shock is extremely real!! I know what I’m about to share is a completely different situation, but it still gives insight into how shock can impact someone. Many years ago I was dating a man who overdosed in front of me. I was in such shock and panic I literally could not think straight! I had to try and call 912 multiple times because I literally couldn’t operate the phone. Something I did with ease every single day. I also had to search for the house phone because the only other phone there was right next to him but I didn’t know the passcode (forgetting in such shock that I could still make a emergency call from the Lock Screen). It’s like your brain just stops working through normal rational things. I remember being in such a hysteric state. Sobbing. Feeling like it was utter eternity. Trying to remember our address to the 911 operator was impossible. Things I knew but could not recall at the time. Thank God after a few minutes I was able to calm down enough to give him CPR as directed by the 911 operator. He quit breathing on me, and Inwas able to get faint breathing back after doing CPR (which is extremely exhausting btw). When the paramedics got there they gave him 3 shots of Narcan and I just remember one of the paramedics saying “I don’t think this one is going to make it but we’ll try one more”. Thank God the 4 shot of Narcan brought him back. While on the way to the hospital the Heroin over powered the Narcan again, and he had to be given a 5th shot!! In the hospital I remember the Doc coming into the room before he was discharged and telling him he was extremely lucky to be alive and he has no medical explanation as to why that didn’t kill him. He told him he was very lucky, but at the same time selfish. The doctor said he watches people every day who live right and don’t take risks wish they had more time and don’t. He told my boyfriend he should really consider changing his ways and that he was lucky to be alive. It was such a traumatic experience for me. Every time I closed my eyes I just envisioned him laying there the color grey, eyes wide open, veins protruding out of his neck and face! It was honestly horrible!!! It still amazes me though, that I lost the ability to function. To do what would have otherwise been simple tasks! Shock and adrenaline are very real! I urge people to sympathize with the surviving roommate rather than judge her. We’ll all have a different chemical make up of our brains , and just because someone might react s certain way doesn’t mean that everyone physically can. It’s not our place to judge, and it honestly does no good. Being kind and loving and supportive is something good that we can do. I pray the the families and friends and all who’ve been directly affected by this tragedy!

  • @MamaMia0321

Part of me feels like zanna was already injured a dying and that was Ethan’s voice saying “it’s okay I’m going to help you” before he was then attacked and killed. I believe Zanna was getting her door dash, or out in the kitchen for some reason as the killer was coming down the stairs and she was attacked before Ethan. The whole entire thing is just so incredibly sad! I feel so so bad for everyone involved!

  • @cortneysirois

@annieelise Have you had that second interview with Mike yet?

  • @longhorn7101

29:20 I can't express how refreshing it is to hear someone express that not everyone operates the same. One of my biggest pet peeves since jumping into the true crime community is keyboard warriors proclaiming that people in a given situation should only have one prescribed reactions, otherwise something's wrong with them.

  • @tracychambley5587

I really don't understand why the roommates didn't hear or see anything it's just odd and unbelievable I just don't get this ??

  • @Doadab13

Stop sending liberal kids to conservative states. We don’t want that craziness.

I love❤love your program. I watch every evening. Keep up your good work. I'm sure it takes a lot of time to investigate. Thanks for your service 🐬

  • @charlesgodwin-cv6il

Nah, ethan was in the doorway….so like ive been saying he was leaning out the door into the dark house prolly because they heard DM

  • @zzkeokizz

I’m glad Dylan did what she did. She is the only witness. That’s important.

  • @kristiwebb4999

"The only chance the defense will have to rip apart the surviving victim is the preliminary hearing." My ahhhh-haaa moment……. now we know why the state chose to go to a grand jury for indictment rather than a preliminary hearing.

  • @billiesanderson-kearns1014

How would he control 2 people at a time? If he had a gun, that would be easier?

  • @ellielane4780

I wanna know if Brian would have kept killing

  • @jeweliacurry1375

I think he could’ve went after them because he was bullied when in high school so he decided to take his anger out on the popular girls …. Could be a possibility

  • @dorcamercado4608

    Great job both of you!

  • @cshaffer8258

Such an awesome interview with Mike! He really opened eyes as to how he approaches crime scenes and then giving an in depth view of their minds! Awesome video Annie!

Dose anyone ,thank Klee was in her own room , and heard Maddie being murdered, and surprised , the killer. She may have put her dog in her room herself..

i HAVE A PERSONAL question? Hopefully ya'll can answer it. My high school sweetheart that passed early in life, we had 2 sons. My sister had married a guy that we grew up with, & we worked in the cotton fields together, picking & chopping, they used to let school out so children could work picking cotton, so not miss those days, we had a lot of hardships for children, more so than others. I was friends with my sisters husbands brother, he always made sure that he stood out side the movies with me until my stepfather, ugh, arrived. I thought of him as a friend, & my sister tried to include me in activities, his other brother was a stock car racer & it evolved into more complex racing. I had a best friend, I was very shy, but could bluff you so badly, no one knew my insides were shaking when I had to state things in front of the class & I was a cheerleader. I wasn't allowed to talk on the phone even to a boy until I was 16, well he passed before my 15th birthday, but I wasn't used to doing that. Mom did talk me into having a little party at the house, I loved to cook, & made homemade pizzas, & I mean homemade dough the whole nine, I invited some of the people I grew up with & a few friends from my high school, including my best friend. When I turned 16 the friend that was so nice to me, asked for my 1st date, couldn't date before I was 16, & I accepted, he was very good looking, & I already thought of him as a friend. He picked me up had to talk to my mom in depth, she put the fear of God in him, when I got in his car he had a friend in the back seat, nope no other girl, man I was confused. He ended up parking on main street, very small town & it was lit up a lot, he kissed me, I now know it was a french kiss, I was on the other side of the seat in a heartbeat. I was really disappointed, no soda, no dinner just this with a friend of his in the back seat, he stated his friend didn't have a way to go & he felt sorry for him, it gave me the creeps. I had moved to the other side of the car & was hinting that I wanted to go home, then I just said I want to go home. He said no one would believe he had my first date? We went our seperate ways married other ppl, he married my best friend they came home & he told my sister he would like to talk to me, I hadn't seen him in years he went in the military so many medals, accomplishments, DEA agent, Kissingers bodyguard, yep records sealed. I ended up marrying him but first I went to my best friend & ask her why they divorced she stated, "you do what you got to do." I knew she didn't enjoy going to Germany & he was supposed to head to Fort Hood Texas. I spoke to him for awhile. He went to Texas but stayed in contact with me, within a year I found myself marrying him & moving to Texas went through the war with him, helped with the very young ladies that stayed while they wee over seas. I had to go to work right away, my son the youngest even asked him if he ever got paid. I was fortunate to land a great job, had to pass a state board, but always received a percentage of cash daily, a weekly check, & a monthly bonus based on my work. I thought well he loves his children as much as I do mine my children were my world., He had 2 girls, & I made certain that they received birthday & Christmas presents out of my salary. I was just putting my money in the bank, until I started looking at the statements, he went through cash quite quickly & I worked very hard. We were transferred to Fort Knox Ky after the war, & I told hiim, this money is more than child support & she was remarried before we married you need to talk to her. I thought I knew her. To shorten this a little, my son had an oops, that I dearly loved, her mother was on meth, & no responsibility what so ever, she threatened her parents with taking her son, that they had been raising, he asked one night if he could live with me. My son was on nights & it was before the pregnancy she had with my son & it would be 10 at night & they were at my home, he was hungry I usually bought him something from McDonalds if I had no money on me. She had my granddaughter, but she was not a fit mother & her actions found her in court & me spending thousands of dollars to protect my 3 month old granddaughter. I requested drug test & they took them, she told judge when we went back to court that she didn't make it in time, but the judge already knew, had them to fax the results to the court, she was high on meth. I was granted custody of my granddaughter My son lived with me. I knew absoluely nothing about illegal drugs, heck I didn't want to take the few meds I had to, hated pills, nothing foreign in my body, ugh wish it was still that way. I had broken, or mangled an ankle as the doctor stated just getting out of bed, they went to do surgery & I crashed, they slapped a cast on it, & had my clothes on the recovery table, I worked there so I knew why. My spouse hired one of his "workers" that had been let go, he was a supervisor at the hospital to help me. I had this bad feeling around her, & I started sleeping night & day. I would be wide awake & just fall asleep, it was horrible. The cast had to come off because in their rush I obtained bed sores. I had home health, & he worked 3 to 11, my sons also worked those hours, they were on shift changes rotating. I became very ill had a bacterial infection in my stomach & a viral infection in my blood, was put on 2500 mgs of antibiotics per day. I couldn't go in the hospital because of my granddaughter, the woman he hired came from 5 through 8 p.m. I was so sick that my sister came from Missouri & they had 3 different buisnesses to run. I knew when I seen her I was sick, then the sleep became worse. the doctor they took me to, not my regular doctor was retired military working in the civilian world, finally looked at me & stated I have never seen these 2 infections in anyones body at the same tiime. He finally ask my spouse what he did for a living, he looked very frustrated when he told him supervisor at a hospital. My granddaughter was becoming depressed, when I finally became better I realized she really couldn't hear me well, so I took her to the doctor via wheelchair, they had to insert tubes in her ears. She told me one morning around Christmas 2007 that her papa was hurting her privates, I immediately had a friend to take me with her to her doctor, she had been molested at almost 4 years of age, I was so angry I'm a survivor of abuse so I do know how it hurts you forever & a day, I called him at work & I don't curse but I did that day, & I told him if he came home I would unload the 45 ruger into his sorry butt. I called the sheriff they came then she had to go talk to the lady detective that said she could draw very well, & ask if we ever were naked in front of her, NO!!!! She had to go through some horrible test. I brought up his daughters at this time it just hit me, she was blackmailing him for the dollar, forget about other children, & they found he had been injecting me with liquid morphine, biohazard materials, regularly, it was horrible. They called his ex he had molested his oldest daugther at the age of 4 until she was 11. Her mother chose the money over doing the right thing for the community, other children & her daughter. He treated me like I was the only woman in the world flowers all the time, now I see he over did. His daughter gave the military a statement notarized of how it began what he did to her it was horrible, I don't think I've been so angry & or hurt all at the same time in my life. He didn't come home, he took the max 6 years in prison, & then 6 years in a half way house in the gulley. I'll continue later. thank ya'll for ya'lls patience, he was diagnosed a pedofile, & psychopath, sociapath. I will continue later……….
