Judge Everett takes matters into his own hands, removing every defense counsel standing in the way of justice for Donna Adelson. The intricate web of deceit surrounding this case only deepens as new details emerge, shedding light on the complexity of the crime. With the stakes higher than ever, every move in this investigation must be calculated with precision. The truth may be buried beneath layers of lies, but nothing will escape the determined eye of the crime investigator.

(FACTS: Donna Adelson was involved in the murder of her daughter-in-law, Dan Markel, a prominent Florida State University law professor. Judge Everett removed defense counsel due to a conflict of interest in the case.)

I don’t think it’s fair to say that the controversy occurred because the state added Charlie as a corroborating witness. They didn’t commit any legal error by doing that. The controversy occurred because Donna insisted on having a conflicted defense attorney….and because Dan Rashbaum insisted on representing Donna and never properly informing her of the consequences.

Obviously Donna has a constitutional right to choose her own counsel, but that right isn’t infinite. And it seems to me this is why.
