There is a wiretap between KM and JR (LR ex wife) around the time of SG arrest. JR exclaims to KM “you were supposed to believe Katie! None of this would happened … Somebody (SG) must have talked to someone else.” I take that to mean JR had discussions with LR. LR confirms with JR that he hasn’t sung and he tell JR that she MUST convey that to KM. I don’t understand why TPD Investigator Bennett didn’t bring this up when KM was adamant about not knowing about LR involvement at the time of SG arrest.

I was young and dumb, but, luckily, thought it through and put the breaks on … PHEW! That’s why I like watching true crime I like watching “women in prison”. It kind of favors the women, showing how they grew up rough and they wound up in a bad situation, and they made a bad choice and that’s why they had to wind up unaliving someone. It’s interesting for me because things like that could’ve happened, but I consciously knew that I would get caught so I didn’t do it. PHEW.
Seeing her there is sad, but next time think it through, Kate. You have kids! You got your husband involved in this. Gd. Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

Katie has more information, but she's being evasive here, because at the time she was feeding very detailed information about the time the killing needed to take place, and the whereabouts of the mark, Dan Markel on the day of, as well as after the murder to rendezvous to pay the killers.

I don't know how she looks her children in the eye knowing she could be raising them and free with them had she cooperated from the beginning. Instead she chose to roll the dice with all the evidence against her and now she'll never see them as a free woman again. I hope for their sake there was a good motive doing that (like money or death threats or something huge) because otherwise it doesn't make any sense. I'd never forgive my mother for that unless there was a totally compelling reason like the Adelsons had set up a college fund for her kids or threatened their lives or something. I personally hate Katie for what a stupid choice she made so I can't imagine what her kids would feel.
