HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — KVEO NBC23/CBS4 won an award for its TV series RGV True Crime.
The station is a finalist in four categories for the Texas Broadcasting News Awards.
The Texas Association of Broadcasters released its winners and finalists, where KVEO NBC23/CBS4 had both won an award and were nominated.
KVEO NBC23/CBS4 received the award for Best Documentary/TV Special for its series RGV True Crime: Standoff on Orchid Path.
The special was hosted by CBS 4 Lead Investigator Derick Garcia and CBS 4 Morning/Midday News Anchor Daisy Martinez.
KVEO NBC23/CBS4 are also finalists in the TBNA Awards for the following:
- Sports Story: The Heart of a Champion
- Reporter: CBS 4 Evening News Anchor Derick Garcia
- Morning/Midday Newscast: CBS 4
- Evening Newscast: KVEO NBC23
