Having been in this exact situation, and learning years down the road that she had been found safe. She didn’t want to be found and she is 💯 % using drugs with him. It’s hard to choose to live a life on the streets without using drugs. I hope she’s able to separate herself from this person who is clearly bringing and has brought her down

Honestly, it boggles my mind why an apparently normal girl would do all that for someone who doesn't deserve it. It is lack of self-esteem, lack of self-respect or what? She flushed her life down the toilet for no reason. Yes, I heard that she was found, thankfully, but now she has a criminal record. I hope my kids will make better decisions when they are older. I know I would have never done everything she did when I was 20. I cared too much about my future to throw it all away for a violent addict.

This was all a scam. I actually know alot about this, personally. As I am close to the only innocent person involved in all this who has suffered tremendously because of this entire event, not to mention being stabbed in his sleep four times by Lateche and her sister in the back and arm/hand in self defense right after they flew to indiana… there was no job for him… no help… he certainly didn't see any of the funds from the Gofundme. .. Lateche was highly abusive towards Joey throughout their relationship… these women need to be brought to justice! Please help! If only for the fraud they committed… ugh it makes me sick… Thankyou for doing this! I will help in any way that I can. If only you all knew what became of Joey's circumstances after this… it's absolutely awful and I cannot stress enough how decent and good this person is and was wrapped up in something rather evil. This family is vile. I just hope everyone will leave him alone soon and stop f#$@ing with him. He's had enough. He has suffered enough because of this mess…Have some compassion. Cheryl also used to money to pay the back mortgage payments owing on her mother's house.
They received money from the Gabby Petito foundation… how Cheryl could sit there knowing Lateche is fine, while Gabby's mother is next to her, who had experienced the worst thing any mother could… she is seriously a cold hearted demon… with 30 prior fraud charges!! Cheryl had contact with Lateche before she was "found." Apparently She'd had a shower and fresh clothes… who else could it have been from?

I think the reason the Gabby case went so viral is the police video and the way that was handled. Every last person who's ever experienced DV could see the abuse. Police had a chance to stop it from progressing to murder and didn't.

He's a heroin addict? No, he'd be too incapacitated during withdrawal to be violent or possessive, unless he really doesn't use much. That's either a part of who he is, or a nasty case of the "some mores".

She could have broke her phone in an attempt to cut Joey off from getting ahold of his dealer. When i had a substance abuse problem my husband broke my phone in an attempt to cut me off from my sources so i could no longer use, it worked.

Someone who's not an addict wouldn't leave her home state, friends and family just to live on the street with another addict. I'm certain her family either doesn't know or doesn't want to admit it's most likely they both were using. Addicts are notorious for dragging others down with them. I know first hand how it goes as I was clean and sober and got involved with someone who used, who got me into it because hey it gives them more of a chance to score if the person you're with also uses. The guy not answering even after being on social media is shady and screams he's done something. Either she overdosed while with him and he left her dead somewhere or he killed her, either way if he was any type of man he should be answering.

Ur right about how narcan works. The med is naloxone. With her, the aggressor, as far as my opinion goes on her, I feel that she was one of those non user types that views addiction and getting sober as very black and white with no in between. And with their "right and only" solution they beleive that they can cure or fix their drug addicted partner if only the partner would just simply "stop relapsing"… WRONG! And another mistake she more than likely made was not educating herself on addiction. If she had she mY have handled his relapses very differently. I am not blaming her for her demise im just pointing out that her lack of understanding and naiveity about the drug life probably played a huge role in why they fought. I didnt get the vibe that she used too. But if she began using, maybe she was working streets. Lastly, in my experience going thru severe withdrawals from heroin, as angry as i got cause i didnt have my dope, i wasnt trying to kill a person….rob them yes, but murder, not so much

she is a really pretty girl and if they were out looking for drugs where they werent known by the locals they would try to pry them apart and if that didnt work(but they DID fight all the time) they would of just told the boyfriend to kick rocks or beat him up(threatened him) and just took her. She could be stuck up in some room some where being used while some one gets the money for her. He might be looking on FB to see if she has posted anything so he can get to her thats also why he is staying in the area instead of just going back to where he is from. People in the drug world arnt thinking how to be good to others they are thinking what can I get from this person, what can I take, what can I use or get it in their head that these people owe them for something and use that as a excuse to do awful things and everyone around will agree with it and not tell the police or help. Plus ALL anyone is thinking about is drugs. Great video Annie.

And I googled if she was found cuz I felt so bad and I didn't see that she'd been found. It was found out the mom has prior fraud charges so this is kinda sketchy. I hope that's not the case

I'm a recovering addict and I can tell easily she's using now. Why wouldn't she go home with her Mom? She said she had a staff infection which I got a few times from injecting H. Also she looks like crap compared to pictures in your video. Very sad. I also think this might have been a a scam for the go fund me. The story made no sense.

I truly don't think he hurt her directly. But in order to fly out there she had money. They may have been raped and robbed.or ..What if she tried drugs for the first time and od.? Or he is hurt too. If someone hurt them both then they can easily update his social media because he was using other people's phones. Like…I won't shoot you in your head if u give me your password. It's not hard to hack into an account.
