  • @amythest8308

Isn't the fact that the judge tampered with the trial a criminal offense?

  • @TheIndependentLens

Never thought of putting these two together for a video. Tati Westbrook and Bryan Kohberger. 😂😂😂

  • @Otakuaudi

I work at a firm in Tulsa and when all this came out, one of the attorneys at our firm told me about the pink chair thing and I thought he was kidding!! Dang

  • @maggiep6605

If Dolores umbridge were a judge…

  • @aussiej

Emily's reaction to the texting Judge is epic!!!

  • @sarah_Docenko

    The judge texting is WILD!!

  • @ShannonTassone-fs1ts

    Understand what your saying..
But here's a more simplified example emily..
The axial coupling of the nucleon, g A , is the strength of its coupling to the weak axial current of the standard model of particle physics, in much the same way as the electric charge is the strength of the coupling to the electromagnetic current. This axial coupling dictates the rate at which neutrons decay to protons, the strength of the attractive long-range force between nucleons and other features of nuclear physics

  • @ShannonTassone-fs1ts

    YUSUF ALI
Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: “O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!”
    Plotting a plot..
I am aforgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken bvessel. 13 For I have heard the aslander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. 14 But I atrusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.
    Yes belinda..

  • @authornesilstone

It’s not just a potato it’s a half of a raw potato that’s going moldy!!!

  • @MishiBelley

They really buried the lead on the judge 'texting' story! This judge is the big ole age of 50 and managed to behave this wild in only 6 months on the job!? If she were a few years younger and a millennial this would have been a whole different story

  • @origamikiddo2625

Like how did I guess this Oklahoma judge was a woman before the story started. And i also am guessing she was sleeping with the baliff and thought they'd never turn her in, hence the 500 texts. You don't text work friends that much.

  • @leifyla

Replay crew here but can I just say that I appreciate that you give us a safe space… sometimes the world is a dark and scary place but I love that even within this there can be some fuckery and snark to distract from

  • @LizabethTucker

As someone with experience in how most small Oklahoma (and other Southern) towns operate, my best guess is that the judge is either related to someone with power in the town OR having an affair with them. She believes she is protected and, probably, she has been in the past.

  • @mehgannajones7532

    Replay!
Emily my inability to keep time has just been explained in a way I 💯 can now understand why!
Also the judges complete fuckery is too much

  • @earendil0888

The voice changer makes it really hard for me to follow the documents 😢. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to my ears

  • @offtomilan

I have been watching this video for almost a week now 🤣😂🤣😂 Why wasn’t the podcast versions made available??? I used up almost all my data 🫠 omg I still have 34 mins to goooooo

  • @joaniecleveland5375

My husband figured it out….the reason the OK judge doesn't know how to act like a judge is because she was probably also texting and checking Facebook during her classes on how to be a judge!

  • @JayCamp4

Emily’s affirmations for survivors in the opening made me cry! Thank you for seeing us in a world that often doesn’t seem to care.

  • @baxter54132

Hi Emily! You can get an El Gato capture card to stream the switch to the computer. I have one and it works great.

  • @rebeccaj5463

I love the discussion about time blindness – I'm an ADHD girlie who sets about 10 alarms in the morning so that I don't forget to keep moving on with getting ready and I know how much time I have until I have to leave! If it works, it works!

  • @savo70

Setting timers w different sounds helps your brain register urgency of the time

  • @angelaa6431

Happy Halloween 🎃 law nerds! Cloudy, Fallish and 60 here in GA!

  • @LeOpinionatedOne

I am beseeching EDB to make a “Law Nerd University” hoodie 🙏🏻 Please please please

  • @doninis1354

Sadly, the behavior of this judge is all days shit poeple have to deal with. To me it is realety since I am 7 years old. Poeple are nice in the front, but i the back they step you. She made the mistake by getting cought and she misused her position, but she had been elected, so she had to have a very believable mask. Harassment, prejudices and judging are a things poeple can stop doing. "You honor" should do social work hours ad least for a year!!!!
Havy breahting of Emily is comment enough 👍

  • @TheNicoleElizabeth

That OK Judge situation is effing WILD. Every time I thought it couldn't get much worse, it would get so much worse. I audibly gasped at cerain points. YIKES

  • @TisIAllie

You're a rare soul, EDB. Thank you for holding space for this and us.

  • @erinl5972

Can judges choose their bailiffs? These two seemed rather close, close enough to talk so much crap during the course of their related jobs. 🤦‍♀️

  • @julinotmylastname1355

What a ride that last part was! LOL I was hesitant to watch such a long replay, but I'm SO GLAD I did.

  • @marikotrue3488

Memories of the origin story on the Tati Westbrook/Swanson case(s) are somewhat vague for me at this point. However that Swanson has had issues with his current/past attorneys along with the amount of years which have passed, makes me think that this law suit is not just about the company or even money. Scary when lawsuits start to resemble a Herman Melville novel (Moby Dick, and I am not assigning a real life name to eponymous whale). Spoilers, it did not end well for Captain Ahab.

  • @deedeeTN

I need the Dick Wolfe Law & Order production team on a flight STAT!

  • @Wtfwhatisthis

"a lot of you are survivors of a lot of shit that would have broken other people, and a lot of you are still here." Didn't realize how much I needed to hear this. Thank you for creating a great community.

  • @LexyRende

    Re: Oklahoma texting judge

Her Campaign Website: "Following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, [judge] joined the Oklahoma National Guard at the age of 17, vowing to defend our constitution."

Her after being elected: repeatedly and egregiously violates the 5th amendment within the first 6 months

  • @kib1455

The judge's actions are unquestionably horrid, and she doesn't deserve to continue in her position. It makes me wonder, however, how prevalent this behavior is. Perhaps all judges should have a camera on them!

  • @sueallen8188

    @Brandirose, replay crew here🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️💜💜💜

2:47:54 OMG is this a sketch from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia?!? Charlie’s uncle’s concern about his own “tiny hands” was warranted apparently.
