Thanks for explaining that judges don't have to accept pleas and can sentence differently. I always assumed that pleas were a foregone conclusion and if agreed, the judge essentially was there as a formality. Also, that an Alford plea=a no contest plea.

This was wild. When he first said the thing about re-confirming the date with the judge I thought nothing of it because I often do the same with folks to make sure I heard them correctly and we have the details correct. BUT THEN he KEPT GOING with it and had a response/retort for EVERYTHING. The level of audacity that you to possess to think that you need to respond beyond yes or no in these circumstances! I enjoyed your rant that ended in f*ck off, because that was exact feeling as a viewer at home. When you said "You're not accepting an Oscar" I cackled because I had said the same thing to my empty room lol.

I do appreciate that he read out some of the names of the victims and specific counts though. I know it isn't needed for a plea hearing, but as you said, he's making a record and if I were a victim or one of their families I would want my name and what he did to me stated as part of the record, as part of getting justice, for him to be held to account for his actions in public.

I have adhd and insomnia. I have had sleep headphones for 2 years and I have used them every night since. I even take them when I go away. They are life changing as I used to use ear plugs kind and I'd wake up in the night as they would end up underneath me and I would wake up due to being in pain 😂😂😂😂

  • @jodipaul8672

Replay crew and I made it to the end! Woot woot! 💜

  • @nancyusyk537

    Does Buster still see Alex?

  • @nancyusyk537

    Hey EDB & Law Nerds😇

  • @LuLuLive

This is clickbait because Alex didn't plea guilty of murder. It was only for stealing money from his clients. Smh. It's half true

  • @_ToshaG

I am still so confused on this whole ordeal. We heard all of this in the murder trial and it is absolutely disgusting. How did he get a life sentence in a sub-par murder trial (in my opinion) and ONLY 27 years for all of the financials?! Mind blowing.

  • @jeriharris1751

I have a sleep mask with headphones 🎧 built in 😀 I love it and it’s rechargeable

  • @MoonMagickMayhem

Can you share the sleep supplement you use? I have ADHD but also C-PTSD, which my doctor suspects is interrupting my sleep because I wake up anxious and have vivid nightmares sometimes. I love magnesium based supplements! Rheybhelp my chronic pain and mind chill out

  • @MoonMagickMayhem

<3 Uno has so many amazing versions!!!!

My sons first Christmas back in 2010 I got a retail job to make extra money and it was at Toys R Us. I didn't get any training until the store opened on Christmas eve. I had to be there at 10:30 that night and the store opened at 11pm. It was a shit show and terrifying experience. I got cussed like a dog by a woman trying to use a credit card with a different name. I was so glad when I got off work at 6am.

  • @lisayoung3655

Honestly cases like this I’m glad I live in Scotland, yes the NHS isn’t perfect but at least you aren’t going to go bankrupt just to have a better quality of life. 😢💔

  • @fearlesssfcappuccino

So glad for the court's balanced order in the Idaho case. The Depp/Heard trial really drove home for me how important it is to be able to see the actual trial instead of what the media reports happened (the discrepancies in that case were SO extreme!!) but the camera operator was constantly infuriating in their behavior to date (the egregious zooming in, etc.) – the media has no one but themselves to blame for not being allowed recording access, and I really hope people there have learned a lesson from this. (Also, "Bippity, boppity, trial!" needs to be on some mugs now! XD)

  • @SomeOne-zw6kh

Pretty sure they did that court camera situation in the Laticia Stauch trial.

  • @yesitschelle

This way, no outlets trying to claim pool feeds have copyright.

  • @Shastasays

Fool around and find out. The news media pushed it and couldn't play nice. This is a COURTROOM, not a gymnasium. Most of the newsies are cowboys and yahoos.

  • @tj8114

Really?! If AM cared for the victims he either wouldn’t have committed the crimes against them, not blamed addiction for his behavior, or pled guilty and thrown himself on the mercy of the court and accepted his punishment w/out appeal. These defense attorneys have a job to defend their client in court, but to conduct press conferences like this makes them nearly as slimy as their client.

  • @lee-annestott4855

Part of me feels he's doing this as he believes he may overturn the murder charge so granted he'd be old age but he would get out

  • @SamanthaEatsCookies

When I was a kid, my mom had to lawyer up against my uncle in order to protect their older sister. In the process, the initial person she hired stole money from us and didn't help her case other than bare minimum work. There were other clients that filed a suit against him and my mom didn'treally participate having been mentally exhausted from the process. When everything was said and done, there were no assets to his name. We got nothing. I deeply empathize with these families who will see no justice here other than him going to jail.

  • @shayjuman9458

Did Creighton win a grammy? Loll

  • @elizaline7571

    Sleep headphones???!

  • @kristi1604

    SIRRRRRRRRRRRR……

  • @evanescentlili

I am celebrating Doctor Who this week! Lol xxx

  • @deborahleroy5323

If Murdoch would ever be released from prison would he then be responsible for paying restitution or would it remain as it is unpaid? When Murdoch dies if any hidden assets resurface would the state confiscated it from the estate before distribution to any heirs?

  • @jeanninewelfelt8255

I'm glad he's making Murdoch listen to all the awful things he's done. It makes me cry for all the lives he ruined.

  • @chebbohagop

Played Uno Dare with my nieces 🤣
    Sooooooo fun!!

  • @chebbohagop

Emily, you crack me up 🤣
You are delightful. I’ve loved listening to you describe your traditions with your family ❤️

  • @fifimcgee272

Please follow the Shanna Gardner case! <3

  • @PoliticallyPink

I really appreciate it when you treat everyone involved with respect. I don't know what it is about AM that gets to you so badly, but I can't stand the venom. Catch ya on the next one — I'm out!

  • @crystalbergenstrom657

Way too much time spent on pushing products for me.

  • @TheJollyFatElf

Do we have the ability to delete alerts in the app?

  • @debkosteniuk5326

He didn't get enough time for his crimes, but I was happy to see him get enough time to keep him in jail (hopefully) for the rest of his life. And when you ranted about Poot's inaccuracy regarding Judge Newman recusing himself so that another Judge can hear the matter, I was doing the same thing, shouting at my screen and shaking my fists, lol. Always a great experience with the Emily D. Baker.

  • @savyjett

Maybe that speech was part of the plea deal…😂🙄

  • @jessicabarnwell6779

Cafe Chaos is one of our favorites! So many laughs.

  • @Crystaldagger1620

Solitare game, and a melatonin is how I sleep. Otherwise I can be awake for 30 minutes -several hours.

  • @fairgreen42

Oh, boy! This is not good for my blood pressure. I hope everyone in SC sees, what kind of person they have in Congress with Poot.

  • @zebrastrong9291

It’s rare for me to have such a visceral reaction to someone BUT Poot gives me a gut level disgust feeling.

  • @debsmith1956

I thought u were putting in a link to court cameras in Idaho

  • @dianelavoie6208

I understand this is usually done at the sentencing but for as many crimes as he has committed and how little time he’s being given he deserves to have his crimes spoken out loud over and over again. This was not a usual case.

  • @afrenchyinlondon

If I remember well, Kohberger is also charged with burglary, so I would assume people living in the property are considered victims? I may be wrong

  • @JayeEllis

I found that the BEST person to help me with ADHD organization is (YT channel) Dana K White. Her blog, A Slob Comes Clean, and her books made things 'click' in my brain that I never understood like other people did naturally. It's changed my whole home.
