Replay crew and educator: thank you for the discussion on parsing information. It's something we all need to understand better.

  • @Micah98134

I think your comments (and facial expressions) regarding the other content creator that said they started their channel for the money and doesn’t like to respond to fan comments were rude and inappropriate. It made you look righteous and judgmental. You’re not better than that other content creator just because you started your channel for “community”.

I hear my counselor in your “I see you, I hear you, I care” ❤ yay for counseling!

The Poopsey Slime Surprise thing will never stop making me laugh. Because that's just top tier HORRIBLE gift that is marketed to kids in a way that parents are either gonna feel awful FOR buying it or awful FOR NOT buying it. It's such a horrible thing that no parent should WILLINGLY buy but you know damn good and well a young enough kid thinks it's hilarious and are demanding it. Like no where near as bad… but I remember in the 90s we had those "science" kits where you could make candy that looked like bugs, or slime, or just general gross shit. Or that board game where you were pulling snot out of a guys head.

This thing is waaaaaaay worse than any of those examples XD BUT it's one of those things that kids just think is so funny and then you as a parent have to decide "Do I teach my kid to want better toys….. or do I cave cause they want it and then regret my life choices for about…. 3 months of them playing with it non stop and possibly dragging it to walmart with us…. where the child will surely be pressing the button to make it sing every 40 seconds."

  • @Saitaina

I had no idea Moist did a video on this, but I heard if them via Nerd E Crafter – They are very… shit toys. Expensive, with little play value.

  • @lunawolfe5201

I think all water parks should have a weight limit. Bc if you are petite or small frame like a child the force can make you slam around inside those tubes. I once got hurt not as bad as this lady bc it wasn't as long a ride but yeah, and have never been on one again. My face hit the top of the tube, and my hips and back were all in pain after riding one.

  • @michelleandthem

Replay crew here! I’m here in Texas where Texas Pete’s hot sauce is NOT made! Emily, you are my guilty pleasure! Your voice and demeanor are so soothing! BTW, I am drinking a Chai Tea Latte today

  • @bibimbnap3105

I was away and just catching up on this. I can’t handle the Texas Pete drama and Emily’s meltdown is so hilarious because… EXACTLY 😂

  • @theRealSara

Emily! Wait until you hear about Texas Crown Whiskey where the bottle used to come in a bag with the Texas Flag. The bottle would say “product of Canada”! But the company used the bags to conceal the “product of Canada” text. I think the whiskey is no longer sold in bags.

  • @drgngrl13

I would assume any product with a state name as part of it's branding was promoting it's connection to that state and would be from said state. BUT if I was specifically looking for a product manufactured in, or made from products of said state as my primary focus for the purchase, I would double check where it's made on the back of the label. IF I was looking for a Texas hot sauce, I would look for something with TX wording or imagery, and ifthe back said made elsewhere, I would be wary of the company as I would feel they were okay with trying to trick me with marketing, and wouldn't trust that they wouldn't do something else untrustworthy.

Texas Pete is not hot sauce. It is red vinegar.

  • @MrsRepairTech

Mule Sauce is the bomb. Sticker Mule is a website/company that makes custom stickers. And they also make Mule Sauce. I worked at a megachurch where one of the admins discovered Sticker Mule (we had a few different sources for branding/advertising/printing materials at the time), and when you purchase a certain number of stickers, you get a complimentary bottle of Mule Sauce. The pastors would argue (playfully) over whose turn it was to get the Mule Sauce. For Christmas, I purchased a couple cases of Mule Sauce and gave EACH PASTOR their very own bottle, no bargaining required! (I was the favorite admin LOL) I also gave my hubby a bottle—he is an all-things-spicy-and-salty aficionado—and it is one of the handful of hot sauces he likes to always have on hand.

I'm very late to the party, but I have to say about parsing news and watching news. Since I remember I was always fascinated by news programs, we were always watching them with my family +listening in the radio, reading papers, etc. My day always started with quick morning news programs before going to work. And then Covid started… I noticed I became so overwhelmed and scared and stressed, that I stopped watching any tv news shows, and just quickly checked online what's going on, as I knew I'm getting mentally overwhelmed by it.
Started watching them again maybe a year ago, but still not to the same extend as before 2020…

  • @margaretballinger2484

I was in ROTC in high school and besides military stuff it included first aid and water safety. They taught us if you ever had to jump from a ship to cross your ankles, point your toes to avoid breaking your ankles and help keep them crossed ehen entering the water…. and clench up your butt as much as you can. Water forcibly entering the body at velocity can do bad damage to internal naughty bits.

For the same reason, we were also instructed to hold our noses closed and cross your other arm to enclose the one holding your nose closed to prevent it getting pulled away on impact and water getting injected into our sinuses.

Hitting the water at speed is the same as hitting concrete.

I fell behind on replay this week, but now I get why my sister was asking me quite intently the other day if I had watched your stream! Thanks for the shout out!!! Tbh I had debating between law school and criminology for a while, and watching you and the rest of Lawtube is what helped me decide!

  • @helenaj9436

3rd comment; What if it was Pro Bono until the Subs started coming? Then it was, "Well, they aren't settling. I can't do this w/o billable hours"???? 🤦‍♀️
Would that happen if the lawyer was friendly with their *client*? Cuz, I can see that.
Did the client not say they were friends with the lawyer, ugh… Now I have to rewatch.

  • @helenaj9436

Ppl in NC who know abt this case are trashing California Man. Every chance we get. 😂🤣😂😂
Texas Pete is the name of guy on the bottle. Not the place it was made. We all know this…well, those of us who read know this. ⚖️⚖️
**How in all of hell did they not know how this works?? 😂😂 It's a lawsuit?!?!?

  • @lexiwitdagoodhair

Just to be clear "texas off ramp" is for anybody brave enough for anyone to try. Ive taken my comapct car off the highway on to the access road. Sometimes i just dont wanna sit 45 minutes to got 2 miles till my exit

  • @sinkorswim9541

Pete just needs a better back story. Maybe Pete left Texas for North Carolina…where suddenly all his new neighbors thought he "talked funny" and branded him Texas Pete. Poor Texas Pete missed awesome hot sauce so started making his own. His neighbors loved barbecues at his house and begged him to make more to share and encouraged him to market his family recipe. Thus Texas Pete went into business selling cheap yummy hot sauce just to get sued for living in North Carolina…come back to Texas Pete so you can go back to being stinky pete 😉

  • @agirldownunder9299

Emily needs a safe for her hot sauce! 😹

  • @americanprincess851

I hope that Emily was able to try the Oleato Cold Brew when she was in Dallas at the Vidcon Summit.

  • @Melodia6969

For me, it does not say Texas style hot sauce, Texas is just in the name. I would not look at it and think its a Texas made or Texas style sauce, I'd read it and figure it out, especially if I was looking for something specific. I can see how this could succeed on its face, I just think its silly.

  • @tamramyers5841

He's been involved in many other similar lawsuits, and has been accused of being a capper before

  • @elizabethyoung309

I honestly don't use hot sauce, but I always thought that Texas Pete was the mascot on the bottle, I have seen it in the store and just never gave it any thought

  • @ancientmaverick13

I have had every Starbucks Refresher. If it’s not chunks of fruit I’ve been eating, I’m very confused.

Misled consumers- I think that’s the point of most advertising, especially the political kind.

  • @lizl5239

This is the most Texas shit ever-you are not wrong!😂😂

  • @esbybyaghro6483

Is the Texas Pete plaintiff using a lawyer that HAS illegally farmed for clients in the past? They don't want that to come out in the discovery process so as soon as they're served (or their family is served) they have him drop the suit due to 'harassment' instead of filing the Motion to Quash?

  • @jenniferrescigno3148

So does this mean that Girl Scout cookies are not made with real Girl Scouts? (j/k)
