The L in Barilla is a hard L – it's italian, not spanish.

The AI thing is terrifying. Meta may be doing it legally, but anyone could put up celeb impersonations. They'd get taken down eventually, but they just go up under another name.

  • @MoonlitSunflower

With some of these, I get it. Others not so much.

I feel like cosmetic companies that use false lashes on mascara ads and don't disclose it are guilty of false advertising. I think companies are getting better about disclosing, but 10 years ago I wouldn't have looked at a mascara ad and understood that false lashes were being used. Was I harmed? Not really. Did I expect different results that expected due the advertizing? Yes. Was I mad about it? Yes. Did I feel like I'd have been less likely to purchase the mascara if I knew that false kashes were being used? Yes. A picture of the lashes after using the mascara with no flase lashes would be more appropriate.

I also think that companies that advertize using pigments with dyes that are not eye safe on the eyes deserve getting sued too though and apparently that is ridiculous.

For the AI I'm over here thinking, are they ready for the perves?

My son is in Law School- one of the top. The impact at their level could be profound and some may find the fact that they didn’t have to be top ten initially will backfire because no one needs you-top to bottom. There will be many not needed Attorneys. How many and why are the real questions. What don’t you need an AI for. They aren’t there yet but track record of catching up is pretty good

While I wouldn’t sue, the outrage I felt after living in the UK and coming home confident I’d be able to find Aussie brand hair products in AUSTRALIA. But finding out it’s not Aussie and not sold in Aus! Still confused why Australia is known for good hair car products. Side note. Makes me wonder if Korean skin care products are actually good or the same thing

  • @TheWahdude

fyi Barilla is Italian, not Spanish, so it's Bar-ill-a – not Bar-y-a 🙂

I would have to look it up, because it's been years, but there was a class action lawsuit against Red Bull over their "It gives you wings" advertising. I got a settlement from it.
I used to be a big couponer and I kept a really close eye on class action suits against food companies and because I kept my receipts for so long, I always got money back on them. I remember the Red Bull one specifically because I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard of in my life.
I'll Google it and see if I can find out exactly what it was about because they do still use that tag line.

So I just looked it up, and it was in fact, over their tag line. Because after 10 years of drinking it, the guy that sued said he didn't have wings or enhanced athletic or intellectual performance. 😂 Red Bull agreed to a $13 million settlement. So ridiculous.

Sorry, I'm a replay crew and posted this before you mentioned it. Lol

OMG this is my favorite episode of food court yet lol. I lost it at the Thera breath 24 hours 🤣

I think like the rest of mature lawnerds here – I've learned to read labels with years of being considered nsumer and making mistakes. Now with time my body declines to be fed with 'lactose, gluten, wheat, and some preservatives' so I read label to the max of it's capacity 😅😅

  • @cass973

So is a mega mug like Johnny Depp's mega pint of wine??

  • @susanjnazari

I was once a plaintiff. I didn’t realize it at first. If you google Nazari v. Target it might still come up. Not sure whatever happened with it. At the time I saw an ad on FB and I thought it was to apply for an existing class action for false advertisement on some 100% aloe gel but it had no aloe. The law firm reached out to me and asked if I had the product and receipt still. Which I did so they had me send it to them. It was like a $2 bottle but at the time I was a young college student so I was mad it didn’t have aloe lol. Anyways they told me the class action hadn’t been initiated yet and that they needed me to start it. Idk I was young and I just wanted my $2. 😅 Never heard back after I sent the bottle in.

I hope you didn't get vires from downloading that My poop video.

  • @rachaelaustin6123

I was surprised. Drinking something good for your health is a high priority for me. Learning it wasn’t a healthy beverage, but a “tasty beverage” like candy, was not my expectation.

  • @jaynedavis3388

No. Most Australians wouldn’t drink Fosters if they were dying of thirst

  • @Chaundradickinson

On the Starbucks – CC says grape juice, but I'm hearing you say grapefruit juice – Because of a medication, I can't have grapefruit juice. The names don't indicate Grapefruit juice. This would be a problem for me.

  • @ClaudiaCarranza1

Replay Texan here I am mysterious as fuck. 😂

  • @jaynedavis3388

If Meta is intentionally gathering as much data on people as possible, they’re on the hook for how they react or don’t react to what they find out. This isn’t like social media where the public is speaking to the public about their lives. This is a corporation intentionally baiting people for their secrets, once they have those secrets, they take on the responsibility for that information that is completely unlike how you treat public knowledge

  • @MariaMartinez-qd3tc

The para social relationships between fans and stars are already crossing boundaries. With this new AI, it will be interesting to see how bad it gets.

  • @annm9589

I absolutely would need to know if starbucks had "Flavor" or "fruit" and would assume the fruit ingredients are in the drink unless specified. I will admit I selected Barilla thinking it was better because it was Italian or Italian origins. Of course if you read the back of the box you would perhaps know better. But I tried the other leading brand and I think it puts more starch in the water and I happen to think Barilla is a better product. So did their marketing work? yes. But if it was not what I would have hoped I think my remedy would be to buy a different brand.

  • @joaniecleveland5375

All these lawsuits that could be cleared up by simply LOOKING at the actual label should be immediately tossed out. Texas Pete, the pasta, etc. The only one that I think had any merit at all was the "Reef Friendly" because the label is so similar to the "reef safe" label and that DOES actually cause harm to the environment if used in those areas with coral reefs. Everything else should be hey…look at the label and use common sense.

  • @crazydoggylady3303

The Da Vinci robot that they use in surgery still has to be manually operated by the surgeon. Among other things it allows for smaller incisions and more precision/accuracy. They are fascinating…and huge! I'm sure as tech keeps advancing they probably could operate from a distance but at least that I've seen, not yet and probably not for a while. Too many factors really need a human still.

  • @stitches2852

This is no different than a coffee shop saying “ The Worlds Best Cup of Coffee!”

  • @stitches2852

    It is a black screen

  • @Raven-nl9tc

Most of the food lawsuits are frivolous. Personally I couldn't spend the time or the energy unless I was legitimately affected somehow. I guess it does expose the law firms and the people who are petty(mostly). I don't do Starbucks much at all anymore,if ever. I 😮 know, but I am kind of annoyed about Nestle buying them out. Don't care for them much. I am still bitter about their water shenanigans.

  • @Raven-nl9tc

I agree. This is extremely concerning and I can preceed many of these concerns. Thankfully I have been gifted an amazing imagination for ideas and there are too many concrete ways to get inspired. I would not be consulting any AI for creativity, this is something they don't actually posses. It's important to remember that whatever is there is programming. Programming and personification. If the idea is preprogrammed, it's not an original idea.

  • @TheSzeszter

Loved the video 🙂 The sunscreen label is indeed shady, but not for the reason stated in the lawsuit. The science related to sunscreen damaging reefs is far from conluded by the scientific consensus, and relies on some sketchy studies. So, basically it is fearmongering marketing. Lab Muffin Beauty Science has a video on this if you are interested. Basically, the most damaging to coral reefs is actually climate change, and the effect of sunscreens is negligible (if any) So, keep using your sunscreen 🙂

@Emily D. Baker "How do you define insanity?" – I've heard insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Are any of us sane? I keep watching Law Tube and expecting the cases to make sense.

  • @MusingsOfApathy

@Emily D. Baker "The problem with food court is food court makes me hungry". Just go back to '90s food cases where it was dead mice and live maggots. You won't be hungry after that.
