It’s not as simple as “are those a match” re: dna though right? It’s a statistical relation based on attempting to match those SNPs or chromosomes or whatnot and it seems what the defense wants to know is what test (in detail, how was it run) produces the given statistical relation that was used to assume that BK is the dna contributor to the evidence.

I mean I get what he’s saying. And I’m an analyst. I agree with him. More data is better than less, generally, within context. Not to mention that i think – and so does this expert – that he has a right to examine that test, and its inherent reliability rate and procedures.

It’s not ok to say “here’s the conclusion” without explaining how you got there.

"You go down the rabbit hole and then you become the person"… also a description of comms/PR.

As far as I remember they stated clearly that the judge shouldn't include the DNA on the sheath in the reasons to go after Bryan Kohberger. I guess because they expected this. And they said (and were very sure) they had enough to arrest him even without that.

Which would make the DNA they got from his dad irrelevant as they could legally obtain his own after his arrest and then go from there. No?

If you would quit blabbing maybe I would watch.

As a genetic counselor who works with cancer patients, my head goes out to Gabriella Vargas. I will also just say that insurances are much better at covering genetic testing now so I hope that is something she can do.

Also for reference, a genetic counselor is someone with a masters degree in genetic counseling and specializes in a medical field (in my case, cancer genetics)

There are volunteers to ID Does, etc and they are working as private citizens more or less. This so fascinating!!! I've watched some specials on investigating DNA matching.

  • @LuckySpinster.

Wth, the background sounds are IN THE COURTROOM .

With regards to the ‘opting out’ and how the police are using this glitch in the program is not really a violation to Kohburger it’s a violation of all the people who opted out. And why do the police get to steel genealogy services. Are they above the law.

I dont feel torn on DNA being used to catch violent criminals. That's always been my biggest hangup with our justice system–DNA has given a lot of wrongly convicted people their freedom, and if we can trust that to overturn convictions, we shouldn't have limitations to it leading to convictions. The only privacy concerns that truly exist for DNA databases, in my opinion, would be to protect people from being discriminated against or targeted by health/life insurance changes or denials.

One thing that would really help:
-when the court room has such low amplitude
    and then
    YOU COME IN
-and you are speaking as per your usual
-you come on very LOUD and then the difference between the court room feed and yours …
    💥💥💥💥
-I can't negotiate that exchange with my ear pods – it would really help if you just soften your feed a
    little bit
-i will tell this also, to 'the lawyer you know' …
    same issue
    THANKS 👵 ❤️yo nana

  • @nana-ly9mw

why doesn't the defense just investigate for themselves – instead of relying on the prosecution and then criticizing them for not getting 'the results' to them? I mean do your homework, defense . do it yourself, ann.
AND❗️I DO think THAT THIS TACTIC is one of the many fishing expeditions has been done, and IS DOING, by the defense.

1:54:53 woah now I automaticly became an expert witness and genetics researcher! Yays! New income means and no schooling nor certification needed! Yays!

  • @LorenSuJa

Question, again, how on earth there was dna on the murder site yet no digital prints? Nor other types of traces???

  • @LorenSuJa

52:13 question: how exactly they got the dna? How did they compared it to his father /discovered geneticly the familial dna? .Dont they need a search warrant to collect dna even if it is from a trash can? Doesnt it also is restricted by hipa?…oh Ive got an ocean of questions

  • @LorenSuJa

Well…if that shit doesnt exist you cant prove the whole dna search was done properly or even if it does match?…even if there is a match, how do we know that dna wasnt from any other day prior to the murders?…idk…help!

  • @mindyrolston3915

At of curiosity, I would love to see what these witnesses would say if they were hired by prosecuting team. Because I feel that they are bought by the defense. Because let's be honest, the state dna teams are just as well qualified. Why are they not using them. Because they want an outcome that is in their favor and it doesn't matter if it's false testimon
