1:55:19 I mean, your merch literally says, "I have questions" so obviously that 1 star review didn't research into what you are all about. Life should be questioning things and figuring out the answers, not coming to certain YouTubers for answers. My other fav channel, Spidey, is all about looking at all sides and asking the questions and figuring it out.

42:36 Emily, I love all your "hmmms". One of these days I may have to clip all of them in a video. I will be timestamping from here on out 😁

  • @rachaelraggi

Nah no children should be online , I think the small amount of 'benefits' from an inspirational story just isn't worth it, so banning kid content is the answer I'm sorry

  • @amyshute8937

My first thought was take the monetary gain away, but then I thought it would just be way worse because kids would still want to perform to create a portfolio/career/audience for when they're old enough to monetise their content. So they would still be performing, but now it would be for free. And you know SOMEONE is making money some how, people will always find a way to make money.

Great way to end this kind of vid talking about glowing pickles.

I know so many people who were "homeschooled" whos parents never actually taught them any schooling. I certainly think the entire education system needs to be updated and reformed, so i dont think you need to be all books and tests by any means, but you need to introduce as much as possible while they are young sponges and everything is interesting.

  • @jade-wr9pn

" 'what will my kids watch?' i simply dont care" 😂😂😂😂😂

  • @anjitago

I watch all of these channels

  • @robinwelch7049

It seems to me that the Plaintiffs are also exploiting their children, and they just want to extract their fair share of the loot from the Defendant.

  • @wildzenventures

I’m on season 4 of VPR, seriously so addictive!

Not only is the content being seen by other teens being shown some questionable stuff. Ie. You have to look, dress and act like this to be successful and liked.. it's also being seen by predators which is an entirely different issue in itself.. this channel has come across my 7 year old daughter's feed. I happen to monitor what my kid watches and have had to explain to her why these videos aren't appropriate… what she's wearing is not appropriate, etc.. certain videos are somewhat? Okay but as a whole I had to block it from her. So these videos are being seen by literal children. My daughter, had she continued to watch this type of content, would want to act and dress like this. She sees all types of things here on youtube and wonders why her life isn't life this.. it's rough but I have to explain to her were not millionaires.. even the "age appropriate" and/ or "wholesome" content gets her questioning all kinds of stuff. Kids are easily manipulated and influenced. But as patents we must shield our kids and explain the right thing. It's just sad to me that this child has someone who's her guide in life pushing her to do things she shouldn't be doing. She bought a damn house (mansion) at like 13 years old for God's sake.. and she has the master bedroom! It seems the parent/ child dynamic is flawed for sure…

  • @sashaf7

    thank you for this

  • @lyndachele

    Then teach her Krav Maga.

  • @briezzy365

“Society” is failing children is almost every aspect 😢

  • @stephaniemartinez7233

Sounds like the mom wanted to be “the cool mom” and not the caring mom.

  • @CyberFareedah

Such an important conversation! So happy Warren alerted me to this replay. It was super duper difficult to watch at times but you did such an amazing job breaking it all down, handling it with grace, and taking breaks. Also the mention from you and Ulla at the end was a nice surprise to end the livestream 🥰

  • @bobbuilder9143

  • @dlan8770

Emily thank you for covering the Piper Squad suit. I've been following the exploitation with the mum for a good while.

  • @jessirarara

Hey Emily! I'm curious if you are going to cover the Brittany Dawn trial next month?

  • @charleneedwards5037

Things like this is the reason why I keep my children off social media especially my daughter that has just become a teenager, they don't need this growing up. It might seem that I'm sheltering them to much but at least they will grow up mentally healthy.

  • @bojo88

My daughter's ex-boyfriend, at 16 years old, was playing on a video game one time while I was cooking in the kitchen and he was talking the whole time, commenting and shouting etc. I asked him who he was talking to and he said, "No one". I asked him why he was talking and giving running commentary when he was playing alone with no one else in the room with him. He replied, "Because that's what they do on YouTube and it's funny!"I told him that it might be amusing when you have an audience but when you are on your own, it's just weird! He seemed genuinely surprised that I didn't find him entertaining, thankfully the relationship didn't last! 🙄

  • @jenniferharrington4694

The wording of the ban tik tok bill is petrifying with how they are trying to ban it,,, it open a very scary door fir banning future things and taking away our rights without going through the proper process.,,,

  • @jenniferharrington4694

There is no way to enforce it in the home… this breaks my heart 😢

  • @lisahirschlozano823

Thank you for having this conversation. It's SO important. I have been dealing with these issues with my 9-year-old child and her community and we've set some pretty firm boundaries around YouTube and social media. It's so hard as a parent to know where the line is between enriching and damaging.

  • @mamainchaos

Them having crop tops and shorter shorts in the child and toddler sections in not ok

  • @kevincharles7733

One of the many problems with this, is Piper and her Mom are just the first ones making this public and going to trial. There are so many families on YouTube now, exploiting their kids, using them to make millions and be the sole income of the household. Literally hundreds of families doing this on YouTube. 🙁
