Well not to this man but in many other cases people are worried about sueing rich and prolific people because even covering their legal costs is 100 times their life earnings. There must be a better way for this

THANK YOU EMILY. <3 I was entertained but also learned A LOT about how the court system works. Also, I'm at a point in my life where I'm potentially lonelier than I ever have been (health issues changed my life, discovering needs and boundaries has strained some of my relationships, getting older, etc. lol). Hearing you describe the LawNerds community as a group of neurodivergents who love to cuss honestly just filled my heart, it made me feel like I found another little home pocket on the internet. I'm about to binge all your shit lol but thank you again for all the work you and your team did in putting together these lives and providing us with so much information and teaching of the law system!!!! <3

I'M FINALLY AT THE END lol. Watching this back was quite the experience. I think my conclusion of events is the following:

    1. I believe Paltrow's story 100%. It makes the most sense, was told with the most clarity, and was corroborated with the clearest testimonies.

    2. I believe that Sanderson might actually have no idea what happened because so many of his senses were limited (blindness in one eye, impacted vision in the other, decreased ability to focus/process due to previous health issues on top of aging, potentially distracted); and the more he was fed this grandiose gossipy retelling by his buddy Ramone, the more he started building a story in his mind till it fabricated a fuzzy memory.

    3. James said it BRILLIANTLY in his closing statement (my jaw fell when I heard him say it): "Mr. Sanderson's taken the reality of his aging body, and he's turned it into a profound injustice perpetrated by Ms. Paltrow."

When you have a clear memory, you tell it as a series of events. When you start adding embellishments, like explaining why you did what you did, or tying in who you are as a person or what you've done in other situations, etc, you're either lying, fuzzy on the details but trying to fill them in (rather than just saying "I don't know,"), or you're twisting it to sound more favorable for yourself.

There were times where Paltrow's testimony was unfavorable. She was honest about cussing him out and yelling. She was honest about fucking right off once she was clear to go because she was pissed. Had she been lying or embellishing, she would've minimized those details or created some sympathy-inducing excuse for why she did that. There's a reason why her testimony and that of the Deer Valley employees were clean and easy to follow compared to Sanderson and some of their witnesses. Sanderson in particular did way too much painting in his retelling, filling every detail with an excuse or defense or piece about himself. He constantly felt the need to cushion what he said – most likely because he felt it couldn't stand on its own.

Though this doesn't impact my perception of the facts of what happened in the collision, candidly I'm totally biased and salty as fuck about the way Polly started talking about Jenny from the jump, and it only got worse from there with Shae. Throwing their "mentally disabled" sister under the bus and completely undermining her experience, not only while she was absent and unable to defend herself but also to make their dad look better, really burned my stomach. I wish the best for her.

Ultimately I think Sanderson has a victim/hero complex. He's been anxious about his health problems and getting older (completely understandable), but has a heavily self-centered, entitled streak and wants to be seen as a hero and literally get an award for everything he's gone through. I think he lives his life desperate for recognition, and Paltrow's fame created a compelling narrative for him to become a prevailing hero. He was desperate for that title; but unfortunately, needless to say, the complete opposite happened as a result. I really, really hope he can move on from this and focus on his loved ones and his future.

  • @kimberleyoconnell6364

Would you consider @royaldailynewstoday to be an impersonator or plagiarism of your accoubt???? Because I do!

  • @Ms2unique4u

Terry is so obviously hooked on wanting to be in the public eye! You can tell how he craves it! He was eating it up during the interview after the trial! 😀

  • @Ms2unique4u

    Emily….
You said that Owens brought up Jenny’s depo and exposed too much info. In fact, it was actually the prosecutor that was hacking up a lung that spoke about the fact that she was schizophrenic or bipolar, one of the two. Owens was actually the one who told the prosecutor that he should not be talking about it on the record and shut it down. Owens actually was the one being much more respectful regarding Jenny’s background.

  • @Nezukofan823

I can remember sku numbers when I was a cashier at Walmart in 2002, but I forget why I walked into the kitchen as soon as I get there almost daily. Brains do weird things.

  • @mikellwells3286

Terry Sanderson tried to blame GP's win on the resources available to a celebrity. However, he is the one paying for all the expert witnesses in the end.

  • @brittleycoudron4570

Emily please please cover lori vallows trial!!

  • @tru2harris998

DISGUSTING. SHAMEFUL HOW TERRYS LAWYER DARE PUT HIS HAND ON TERRYS SHOULDER AFTER HE DELIBERATELY SCREWED IT UP FOR TERRY – WHERES HIS BAD COUGH N COLD NOW? GONE ALL OF A SUDDEN! HE WAS PAID OFF AS CORRUPTION WAS ALREADY SUGGESTED EARLIER. THIS PROV3S ITA TRUE. TERRYS LAWYER NOW ALL OFFICIAL WAS DELIBERATELY A TOTALLY INCOMPETANT INEFFECTIVE LAWYER – HE EVEN BEGAN BY SAYING HE BELIEVES PALTROW – TERRY NEVER STOOD A CHANCE WITH A CORRUPT LAWYER LIKE THIS. – WELL WHOSE GOING TO GO TO THIS LAWYER FOR HELP AFTER THIS? NO ONE!!! POOR TERRY. THIS WAS A MISTRIAL – PURE CORRUPTUON. NO EQUAL REPRESENTATION AT ALL. ALL TERRYS LAWYERS WERE ON GWYNETHS SIDE TOO. RIDICULOUS SHAM. SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. APPLY TO HIGHER AUTHORITY TERRY- THIS WAS A CORRUPT WHITEWASH.

  • @ronswasonbutcuter4474

I REALLY don't like Paltrow but I do think this was the correct verdict. Terry definitely sued in bad faith and that's not cool even if it's against someone really annoying

  • @chaucer44

Now Terry has to pay not only his own lawyer team, but Paltrow's. No attorney should have taken the case after they heard his and her version. It was always clear that he was at fault. You just can't spin it. Shame on these lawyers for allowing this to go to court. He's going to be financially ruined.

  • @ConchShell92

This trial wasn’t my cup of tea. Glad she won. From what I read he was malingering

  • @georgiegorge6679

Gwyneth was polite , an Aussie would`ve said , good one galah πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • @georgiegorge6679

2 Aussies collide on a snow slope , both would f… and both will say sorry mate , no matter whose fault it was πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • @jennifer592

Which day was the Jenny Sanderson testimony as I can't find it πŸ™‚

  • @justiceforall1631

My thoughts… Terry, the great raconteur, always the center of attention, legend in his own mind is so clueless he took his advanced skier self down the bunny hill and tried to meet cute. He knew she was there and skied 1:09:49 behind her on purpose.

  • @emilydelgado4312

Thank you for every coverage and I can’t wait for the next court trial !

  • @andreacampparker9419

Are you going to cover the Kardashian FBI case!!!

  • @explorationrandomdestinati4278

Seems to me like her legal team used that bs recreated scene to pretty much win this. If no actual footage exists somebody should absolutely not beable to bring to court their own rendition of what happened. Especially when she tried to initially play it off like she thought she was being sexually assaulted. What a joke of a women.

  • @patruddick

he knew he would never win ,he just wanted to see himself on camera ,he likes no one but himself .

  • @joannegrieco8523

I'm proud of Gwenyth and I would do the same thing

  • @joannegrieco8523
