Most of the people are women and millirnals are apologizing…..its not your fault man this your great great great great great grandmother fault
@Timetravel04
Yep women whooped slaves too many tried scarex off big men in their plantsaions well my slaves owners were petersons….
@melissaadams8773
At this time in Louisiana history, they really regarded their slaves and quadroons as “more than”. Don’t believe anything you hear in this case. Facts not feelings. Stephanie, you’re doing great. Don’t be too emotional about this story and this time in our history.
@melissaadams8773
Nope, I don’t believe that the mistresses beat their slaves like this. Look at the base: this is money lost if you beat them to death. Most were kind and kept them healthy. I’m sure, some mistresses were not nice. Money is not to be wasted. Some slaves were very valuable and anyone seen hurting them will pay with a whooping of their own!
@melissaadams8773
Fascinating history lesson. If someone can possibly get offended by the FACTS, they need to listen somewhere else.
@VValkyrie
Only one correction, Delphine left new Orleans & fled across Lake Pontchatrain to Mandeville. Good telling of local tale. Worked with radiologist who lived there. Not a good outcome. Lots of sadness associated with this house.
@stephencraig7130
The original house burned to the ground.
What stands today is a re- build.
@cookiemonster7043
I’m sorry but madame Lalaurie looks like she could be of ethnic background herself. Her hair, very kinky, and corsi, and her very, very very dark eyes, black apparently. The only white thing was her complexion, but a lot of people with her type of hair and very dark eyes are usually of mixed background.
@truethat774
This would be a really good video to show in high school history class. It makes what happened back then more real and understandable. Keep up the good work, Stephanie. 💜
@qubenlink
She's good so much detail

I can appreciate your in depth research. Salutes to the homework done on this one! 👍🏾 To all the nay sayers and doubters of the extreme tortures that occured there, try spending the night at the mansion and explain to the many spirits that will make themselves known, that they didn't exist and are a rumor. Even that Demon lady is back there, not in Paradise Paris 😂 Shout out to August 👍🏾 RIP to the Ancestors 🙏🏾

@Mandy-nt2cs
Nicholas Cage is not one of the worst actors ever lol However everyone is entitled to their own opinion lol
@Mandy-nt2cs
I mean, women married young as a life span was much shorter, including parents of children leaving many orphaned… and women couldn't really fend for themselves without an advanced society with a plentiful supply of adequate work. Most things we think absurd from past times, has a logical reason when we stop to ponder upon it lol
@mjandt7087
Thank you! FINALLY someone else who knows Nicholas Cage is the WORST actor.
@abrahamisaacmuciusiii9192
I have the same Delphine Lalaurie book in the background, I just got it yesterday along with a book on Marie Laveau.
@Mandy-nt2cs
It also does well to remember that LESS than 3% of the Population even owned slaves.. and the vast majority of that 3% were/became members & supporters of the Democrat Party.
@DINAHLUCIA
Rewatched this one. Absolutely loved it again!!!!

The way those two treated their slaves was beyond horrific. My mom told me white people considered themselves genetically superior to black people in those days. She said they were considered to be no more intelligent than a dog or a monkey. They were considered to be animals, livestock to the plantation owners. Would you treat your dogs or cattle that way? May the victims rest easy in the arms of the Lord.
@lizziebunn
Her name delphine is pronounced DelFeen
@ElizabethDewey-si6sh
I heard part of this story on a ghost tour in New Orleans and it told that the slaves were used for medical experiments and they all died in the fire. I’m glad you researched it and let everyone know what could be proven. Thank you
@latwanabennett3564
I just love your voice. And how intelligent you are. Keep up the good work queen 💜👸🏻
@vlooney53
Nice to know 1800s parents were guilt tripping too 😅

Stephanie, I absolutely LOVE Your glasses !! They look so WONDERFUL on you ♥️ !!
@thehedge5061
Question: why do they kill the horse?
Answer: back in medieval times, horses were trained to bite, stomp, kick, etc. Trained to "attack". Trained to run "Into the fray" which is totally against their nature.
@kristi_vera_parker
I love you guy's!!! Thank you for the update, despite how tragic it is 😢😢😢❤❤❤

Cannot wait for Harloween 2023!
@industrialover
In the 1800s my granddaughter would have been considered a quadroon. I've never heard this term before, weird
@Lola_Nico
This shit was boring. Where are the gory details?
@DannyWallsPratt
I get a kick out of it when you say "don't come for me"
@disgruntledk9
Cats are renowned as guardians of the underworld. They’re just hanging out doing their job making sure that wicked woman couldn’t possibly ever “come back” 😊
@aceykrew5207
March 19th baby of course hah' i swear its significant
@rw7975
Lalaurie was a female primary psychopath and very psychopathic at that… quite rare.
This is when a person is born with a different brain; no capacity for empathy, remorse, no response to fear… high tolerance for disgust. Grandiose and sadistic – pleasure derived from the suffering of others.
It's unfortunately kind of a perfect storm… the time period, privileges/circumstances and pathology all intertwined or happening at the same time.
