Mother from Mississippi allegedly forcibly drowned 2-year-old son

Mississippi Mother Alleged to Have Drowned 2-Year-Old Son Against His Will

So, I just watched this crazy true crime documentary on Netflix last night. It’s called “The Confession Tapes” and it’s seriously mind-blowing. The whole series dives into cases where people were convicted of crimes they didn’t actually commit, based solely on false confessions. Can you believe that? It’s like something straight out of a thriller movie.

One of the cases that really stuck with me was the story of Atif Rafay and Sebastian Burns, two friends who were accused of brutally murdering Atif’s parents. The police interrogated them for hours on end, manipulating them into confessing to a crime they didn’t commit. It’s insane to think that something like this could happen in real life.

Another case that stood out to me was that of Angelika Graswald, who was accused of killing her fiancé by sabotaging his kayak. The interrogation footage is just so intense, you can see how the detectives are pressuring her into saying things that aren’t true. It really makes you question the validity of confessions in criminal cases.

Overall, “The Confession Tapes” is a must-watch for any true crime fan. It’s a chilling look at the flaws in our justice system and the devastating impact that false confessions can have on innocent people. Let me know if you’ve seen it and what you thought in the comments below.
