RIP Sara 😢 as a Filipina myself, this type of overbearing and control from the family is way too common. I pray Will is doing amazing and thriving in life.

Nancy was a popular name in the 1940’s. My grandmom’s name is Nancy she was born in 1944. So most women’s mom’s were named Nancy in the 1980’s like my mom.

"Mothers are revered in the Philipines!" Okay, so why did you not revere Sara in her role as a mother? What happened here is more that the matriarch wanted her way.
@mamamel1473
I loved reading Trixie Belden! They were mystery books, surprise,surprise.
Anyone else remember those?

You guys gel so well together. At first I was like only Kim can deliver deep dives but you two togeher sure got me wrong. I love your channel ( both) but also I dread getting notifications because it is yet another tragic story ( it is juxtaposition of emotions) but victim's stories need to be told so they are not just another soul lost to the world and maybe things can be learnt on the way. I got to say your channel doesn't gloss over the VICTIMS but give depth to them.
@L-n-o-v-a
I’m from the area in this case thanks for covering this case.

I actually invited my MIL to be there… studies actually show that laboring women do better with a supportive matriarch there to assist her. I think our western way of "husband as sole birth partner" is VERY different from how our ancestors and how other cultures around the world do the birth process… and i don't think our maternal postnatal outcome statistics bode well for it… just my two cents after doing quite a lot of thinking and research.
