It is clear that Donna was really losing her mind in the days before her arrest. She failed to hang up the phone amd talked about leaving the country. She had to know her communications with Wendi would be monitored but she still implicated Wendi in her IMs. Donna was clearly going insane right before her arrest.

I have followed this case for years. I think it is very difficult to determine how much Wendi knew about the plan. Basically, she is very smart and manipulative but she did so many stupid things it is hard to believe she knew the details of the plan. The most obvious evidence against Wendi is that the hitmen knew when Dan was leaving town. Donna and Wendi spoke so often that Donna could have easily gotten that out of Wendi through normal conversation. It is hard to believe Wendi would throw Charlie under the bus in the first 10 minutes of her interview if she was sure he did it. Also, Wendi seems too smart to drive to an active crime scene. I think the key to Wendi's fate is what Katie says, if anything, about Wendi's involvement. Wendi met Katie on the beach shortly before the first trip. If Wendi spoke with Katie about the hit, then the state will go after Wendi for sure.

Wendy is distancing herself from all this mess, no calls to her family, dear mother letter to put her mother in her place, while indirectly addressing law enforcement how she is not guilty, non participant to what led to the murder, it's slick, lawyer way of arguing her case , call my lawyer, don't discuss it with me, keep it away n I don't want to be arrested I have kids ti look after, mom you're 2 old for me to care, yes, family helped me out in time of need, yet, I didn't ask for all this chaos, accountability, I'm the Angel I can't do no wrong, protect me still even if it means lifer as my mom n lifer as my brother, that's life, I'm selfish I don't care if both are convicted you deserve it anyway lol that's a monster, evil daughter, you feed a sucker it becomes a biggest leech

Respectfully, those "arguments" you presented for the defence don't make sense in context.. "It could just mean that her brother was protecting her generally?" what about the other part of the text when Donna explains "now you're not guilty?" Its crystal clear she means in relation to the conspiracy to murder because what else could she not be guilty of?
Secondly, how is passing the blame onto Wendi that perhaps she'd conspired with her brother only, when we also heard on the wiretaps that Donna states to Charlie "it involves the two of us?"
The "Blaming Wendi" defence you mentioned only makes it look like they were all involved. Poor strategy IMO

Why does Donna NEED to specify to Wendi that her lawyer took very good care of her and is now NOT GUILTY? If Wendi was not involved, why would her own mother point out that Wendi's lawyer had helped – HELPED WHAT??!!

I think wendi was the mastermind and I've been thinking that since Charlie's trial last year. I went back and watched her get grilled on the stand by Katie defense attorney. He grilled her like a cheese sandwich and the truth of her guilt was written all over her face. It's mostly my intuition telling me this..

It's wild that Wendi doesn't call or visit either Charlie or her mother, knowing that they could flip on her. I know she doesn't care about them, and only cares about herself, but you'd think she'd at least fake it and call her mother once a week just to stay on her good side. Personally I don't think they'd ever flip b/c of her kids. And I think she knows that too. But still. You'd think she'd be overly cautious about it.

'protected' 'not guilty' i guess her 'fill in for Rob son' Rash didn't take 'good care' of her CharLIE. why didn't wenLIE's reply seem confused about why she is drama acting with the 'bury' comment. this family is garbage. not one ounce of sorrow displayed for the loss of a good human. 'oh well some ppl got caught and i haven't yet.' garbage. where is the 'worry' that Danny's sons were around someone that knew who took their father? she never questioned anything after she 'just found out' about the 'made up' extortion. Why didn't she rush to protect them in Miami since 'now' the story is his 'not gf but had s*x with after the m*rder' could have others do a payment plan pre-extortion for other things. No worry bc she knows the truth. follow the money! who was paying for the other trials?!

ok wenLIE – not 'involved' with getting caught. that's believable. her CYA reply is to now try to have something to likely counter ALL of the discovery on the devices from 2012. there 'may' not be many replies from wenLIE but the 'actions' will match the timing of everything. showing just how calculated she can be…plan a move to Miami by prepping the house, utilities, kids' school – but she knows not to 'chat' about it. she is 'crafty' and this little CYA reply shows it.

Thank you Mentour Lawyer great stuff. How the Adelson family dynamic is. An ungrateful, cruel & selfish daughter. A son who is now convicted of murdering another family member. Donna & Harvey planning to flee although they are both telling Charlie he can call them anytime, indicating they would always be there for him. Leaving their “sunshines” behind, all to escape justice for what they did to their father (IMO) despicable!

Lol. It’s beyond comprehension and crazy how these “innocent” people have always acted and been though out Dan’s murder. Always talking in code, not wanting to use their phone, leaving a digital trail, avoiding law-enforcement, Dan’s family, and continuing the circles around about the murder and how the others were involved. It’s beyond nuts. NO INNOCENT person would ever behave like they all have done. It doesn’t take a brain scientist to see just how guilty they all are. And frustrating how long it’s taken to bring justice to all of these evil family actors involved.
