@stephanieharlowe I believe we're close in age, I'm trying to encourage my 5 and 4 year old daughters to watch Scooby Doo as I click into this video.. and it just hit me where it all started for me lol the crime investigations.. Scooby and the gang were the OGs for me just saying. Maybe a little Nancy drew too. Just wondering if you also got your start with Scooby Doo and not realized it 😆Love your videos ❤

In 1991 my mother went missing for 2 weeks… us kids were alone in the house and we went on our daily lives and didnt ask where she was… and I was 9 years old and the eldest… so all this is normal to me..

  • @jenj181

All this makes me miss the 80s and early 90s 😢 this is all normal to me BTW…

I am in recovery and I totally understand the mom's reaction at the airport and the brother whom was at rehab. Addicts and alcoholics feel very deeply. It is one of the reasons that they use. If they feel bad, they tend to punish themselves and avoid any kind of emotion or conflict. They were so destroyed, at least the mom, that it was paralyzing. If he doesn't live with her she doesn't have to refeel any of the emotions that she felt while he was gone. And because she's so emotional she thinks that in any minute this could happen again or he could die and so she avoids him in that respect. It is such intense love and fear. I don't expect normal people to understand what I am writing but if there are any people on here that are in recovery you'll probably understand
What I mean. She also wasn't totally clean at that point either. I am not sure if Jason did not kill him. However, Nicholas seemed way older as far as like his knowledge of life than his age . I suspect that he was sexually abused by somebody maybe an older man and that person killed him. I just have this weird sense that's what happened. What parents of kids his age would let him stay with them when he ran away from home and wasn't going to school. Probably none, that is why I feel like he had a sexual abuser in his life.

One minor thing, eyes can be tattooed. Eye color can be changed, but it is pretty obvious since the whites of the eyes are most strongly affected. I went to school with a someone really into body modification who tattooed his eyes red. The Irises weren't as red as the whites of the eyes, they were tinted red. Changing eye color in some way that would have had natural looking results I am sure is much closer to impossible.

  • @Melanie1502

    I can’t believe they didn’t do a DNA test.

  • @ashleyrichards5194

A mother knows her child, full stop. Bs

  • @BAZER81

Do you think it’s disrespectful having a 5 minute commercial over shadowing a very sad case that includes a missing child?

  • @Crono1973

"I don't like to judge', she says but continues to do it over and over.

  • @megannielson4913

Who made fun of how you say piña colada?? I even googled to make sure, and you are definitely pronouncing it correctly

  • @Mandy-nt2cs

It's Hillarious for someone to be believed because they are an FBI agent lol Certainly it's the other way around.

  • @kaylahall8300

I honestly feel like they KNOW what happened to the real Nicholas but they can’t admit it cuz they KNOW they’ll be going STRAIGHT to jail the sister might not know and might really be delusional enough to think that guy might really be her brother but the mama n brother definitely knows something if they’re not directly responsible

  • @adriannarodriguez8805

Does not even slightly resemble a sixteen year old

  • @AngelleWingz

Piña colada is pin-ya, u had it right all along. 👍🏽💯💥

  • @Morticia1313

There is something called Denial & it can change the way you see things. Just wanting something so bad can make it real to you. Of course I don't know if this is the case here because I still have to see part 2. But if this were the case everyone on the outside should have realized this instead of thinking it was weird.

  • @jessiroseanne

Does anyone else think Jason and the mum had something to do with Nicholas disappearing?

  • @maryroberta8094

Who knows how her marriage was. We can't judge the victim, we weren't her. Also l think you just call people out for their actions and don't show any gender bias. It's great to have someone who calls it like it is. The first time l heard you swear l was floored, you look like you are so proper. It was refreshing to find out you are down to earth like the rest of us. Your videos are great.l have learned so much on cases that the media just touches. Keep it up!

  • @kittykitty8895

A story, every one swept 🧹 under rug
The sex scandal at Oprah 40 million $ African all girl school
I want to hear the full story of that .

  • @kittykitty8895

Here are some cases , and what’s crazy, it’s like some people act like they don’t think it happened, one of the mandala effects
Bay St. Louis Mississippi killing of 4/6 people in one night and a shoot out with police of a meth dealer out of his car , about 5/7 yrs ago .

  • @shickman1561

Incorrect:Tiny had her eye color changed.

  • @annamuller4819

You got the Spanish "ñ" perfectly, dear Stephanie!

  • @LauraOfTheValley

Poor Nicholas😞 I definitely believe Frederick.
    Truth is stranger than fiction;
It's easy to dismiss the word of a character like Frederick and by sheer irony he's telling the truth because even this situation was too weird for HIM to even function in.
Nicholas already seemed to have been a highly neglected, angry child searching for something in the streets that he wasn't getting from home.

  • @thanosprime6603

This is the kind of case that I love to settle down with some tea to listen.

  • @andreaduckett4588

My adult son looks like a stretched out version of his baby self. NO WAY I’d not recognize him from a total imposter in a million years. Mothers KNOW!

P.S. I know this is an older video, but much love to you Stephanie always take care of yourself no apologies needed ❤

  • @MariaGuzman-vv2pt

The brother probably used to beat him to discipline Nick for the mother. Went too far and he was badly hurt. Another theory is they trafficked him but in the US. Carrie isn’t STUPID either.

  • @kendraelaine1743

I think Nicholas came home that day, got into his brothers/moms drugs and overdosed and they got rid of his body and then claimed he went missing. Especially since Beverly didn’t hug him, Jason was not immediately there to meet or greet him, Beverly throwing a shit fit to get the DNA sample.

  • @doodlecatpsx

I forgot this was just part one i was like broooo she aint even finish the story what happened 😅

  • @drivergurl73

U actually are saying correct.piña collada!! So don't apologize anymore.lol.u got it gurl!

  • @bpotgieter9998

Omg that guy looks at least 25

  • @aliciabaca806

it's definitely piña! you say it correctly 🙂

  • @lisarent12

About to watch this right now but just had to say I pronounce pina colada the same way, I thought that's how it was lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ and yes I remember that song very well

  • @janisridgway3975

When I grow up I want to be a polyglot.
Have to pause the video whilst Stephanie goes on about not picking up on speech patterns etc. Sort of laughing but also wanted to kick myself for not commenting earlier what I wanted to comment… I've been intrigued for years by different dialects and speech patterns, even between regionally close areas.* I notice Stephanie pronounced tennis shoes as tennis shoes.. so weird because near Chicago you'd hear tenni-shoos one word, drop the hard double-s sound at the end of tennis. I notice this with many words.

*Regionally close. Relatives who grew up in different areas of Chicago spoke differently even in the pronunciation of the name Chicago.. Chi-cah’-go
    Chi-caw-go, Chi-ca-go & couple more.
