During the investigation into the disappearance of Shannon, witnesses reported hearing her screams and frantic pleas for help before her body was discovered near Gilgo Beach. Suffolk County detective John Malia, known for his expertise in search and rescue, utilized his highly trained German Shepherd, Blue, to track down Shannon’s scent to a marshy area where her skeletal remains were found wrapped in a deteriorating burlap bag.
As the detectives uncovered the first body, they were shocked to find several more bodies in close proximity, all under five feet tall and similarly wrapped in burlap. This gruesome discovery raised questions about the sinister circumstances surrounding the victims’ deaths, with no clothing, jewelry, or other identifying factors present. The meticulous investigation led by Detective Malia delved deeper into this chilling case, determined to bring justice to the victims and their families.

He is a coward that monster is enormous those poor girls didn't have a chance. I always want to know why or how a person can do such things even as a child my dream was to be like Jodie Foster in Silence of the lambs cause I wanted to put these monsters away I think because when I was 11 I lived a few houses away from a man who sent his wife to get donuts and killed his children and himself and what bothered me the most was why the kids. To punish her I assume.

Dear Gods, WHY didn't they use the dogs sooner? All the searches with all the well-meaning volunteers won't be NEARLY as successful as several scent dogs. Let's be practical. We need MORE, not fewer, trained dogs. Africa is training large pouch rats to wear cameras and climb through collapsed houses and buildings to find survivors. They can do it FASTER and they can do it BETTER. Humans simply can't see, smell, or climb as well as many animals.

I listened to a true crime podcast that watched and discussed this case. The documentary also talked about corruption in the police dept and high ranking officials in the area. Also brought up that Shannon's 911 call went to a dispatch in a different county and a month passed before officers were made aware of that call.
@flash2tz
"…a grime discovery?" Perhaps you meant grim, no e. Grime is dirt. Grim is awful.
@raphaelirizarry84
