@mentourlawyer can you lend your insight as to why they needed to cut a deal with her? There’s no chance she was in the dark with the crime spree they were on. The interrogation was painful as they lent so many avenues for her to duck out and allude responsibility

I am so upset. I have to say this- and I never openly talk of this but I have to- we have to hold ourselves to the highest of standards and DEMAND other’s around us to be set to those standards too. I’ve been clean from heroin for over 10 years, I actively used intravenously and did horrible things degrading to myself I live with.. but I had the morals to not participate in criminal activity, even in my lowest moments the thought of causing any other human being pain made me save myself from living with that agony of torturing another family by way of removing a loved one from their life. I never was near or knew of anyone participating in crimes bc the respect I have for human life. These people have NO regard for life, their own or others, LONG BEFORE DRUGS. I’m so sick of hearing people use drugs and bad company for excuses!!!! It’s not an excuse- she’s not going to be taught empathy at this point in her life. What a lost cause. The only thing that prevents me from going totally wild is knowing she’ll be serving the rest of her prison time when she screws up with probation. Let’s come back in 8 years and discuss @mentourlawyer

Always blame mental on drugs, crime, and other issues when they these young ones addicted to drugs blame everything on drugs, who put drugs in their mouths?

many of us have suffered trauma that we wouldnt wish on our enemies, this is no excuse to steal property, peace and the very life of productive citizens. she can help others in prison for the rest of her life. dont forget that in spite of many family members trying to stop her, she was PROUD of her bonnie and clyde lifesryle in her interrogation, and she didnt turn him in for the brutal murder of a much loved son and fine man. she is equally as guilty of murder as he is. 10 years is another insult to the patels and civilized members of society.

Im sorry, but this girl chose to kill another person! Treatment for her past trauma?!?! Many of us need trauma treatment, but cannot afford it, and are stuck living a law abiding difficult life everyday. Yet, we dont murder anyone and don't have any expectation that, should we choose to take anothers life, our treatment should be payed for be other working, law abiding citizens.

She’s the getaway driver and she knew the danger she created. Going around committing armed robbery with a loaded gun. Like making innocent citizens—and her own baby—play russian roulette. Disgusting

So infuriating! That we, including the Patels, now have to pay for these evil criminals food, house, clothes, education, health care etc etc. While we have to do 2-3 jobs to barely make it at the end of the month! Some kind of reform is needed to put these criminals to work. It's sickening just thinking about it. I mean just think that 1 of your relative is m*rdered and now you have to pay all the bills for this crininal!!

So a murder for hire get LWOP and a conspirator waiting in the getaway vehicle gets 10yrs with time served? hhhhhmmmmm, no wonder so much crime happens, as the criminals know that they would hardly spend time in prison, they get out and commit more crimes. Never ending cycle.
