As a highly detailed crime investigator, it is clear that the case of James Schaefer is one of the most gruesome and shocking cases to date. The victim went missing after his shift working as a limo driver, only to be betrayed by someone close to him. The motive, connection, and access all point to a horrifying crime committed by someone he trusted.

The suspect, Angela, presented herself as a loner with health problems, claiming that James was her only friend and that she was trying to help him. However, her actions tell a different story. She confessed to drugging, stabbing, strangling, dismembering, and cooking James’s body parts in a horrific display of violence. The details of the crime are chilling and reveal a dark and twisted side to Angela that was previously unseen.

Despite her attempts to paint the murder as an act of self-defense, the evidence and her own words point to a cold-blooded and calculated crime. Her lack of remorse and emotion during the trial further solidified her guilt in the eyes of the jury.

In the end, Angela was found guilty of first-degree murder, abuse of a human corpse, and tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to life in prison, where she will spend the rest of her days paying for the heinous crime she committed. The details of this case are disturbing and serve as a reminder of the darkness that lurks in some individuals. The truth behind the betrayal and brutality in this case is a stark reminder of the evil that can exist in the most unexpected places.

She doesn’t scream because she doesn’t know how very well? Is there anything this psychopath doesn’t lie about?

Disturbingly and heartbreakingly. This woman reminds me of my mother. The part of her going on about climbing trees. Really gave me flashbacks of my mom talking about her rock obsession and how she was all the time seeing faces in rocks.
My mom wasnt always like this. A very hard, and horrible life growing up. And some very hard losses. On top of the mental illnesses, parinoid schizophrenia, disassociative disorder, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and probably more that she has never been diagnosed with. Then she started using meth. And from then on, she started talking to "demons". She would fight the air and throw things at her loved ones saying they was trying to hurt her, she tried to kill her boyfriend by burning down their trailor. Alot of madness. I have in a way done greived her death. As in a way that is hard to describe because she is still alive. But the mom i knew the mom that loved me. No longer exist. Sadly, she will never be back. So this was extremely hard for me to watch. I sobbed. My heart ached. And i feel so sad for her children. Things in life are so unfair to the most innocent of hearts. I pray they find healing. And if they have any mental illnesses, they can receive help before it leads them to do horrible things to ones who they once loved or cared for. And of course my heart goes out to his family and friends. Its just a horrific situation all the way around.
Now its time for me, to wipe my face, and get to cleaning. Thank you annie for always bringing us the most true crime. ❤

  • @dawngrimes7361

I don't believe any of her story

  • @JypsyHair

I love all your videos! You are easily my #1 True Crime to watch and I just had to say it cracked me up with you trying to say "rural" because that has ALWAYS been the one word I can't pronounce correctly myself! Whoever created that word should have been fired 😂😂

I was in jail during the time she was in Volusia county jail for this case. I was housed with her in G Block… very odd lady, and obviously suffered with mental health. She told different versions of her crime to other inmates, one version even saying it was a crime of passion bcuz they were lovers. Initially we had heard she stabbed him in the front seat of the limo. She was very odd… that's all I can say. I was never very friendly with her.

I’ve watched this case on fear thy neighbor. This is a white trash story. Sorry, but it’s true. He was a con artist. He owed her money and used her all the time, he knew she wasn’t too stable.

  • @denisebacher5040

She didn’t kill him in self defense. At least not in my opinion.

I believe it went down just like her sister said. I mean what man who has his hand on a woman and his furious is going to not only let her smack him with an ice pick but then reach back for something else to hit him with.

No instead he’s going to lash out and hit her and would’ve pulled the pick out of his eye.

For it to go like she said, in the confines of a car she’d have to be a super speed mutant to be quicker than him IMO.

  • @pz83ftw

    31:32 😂😂😂😂 i fn can't with Annie's reaction 😅😅

  • @brandyvergara6794

This woman is obviously very mentally ill. What a sad sad case.

  • @killbill5486

Sounds like he was just a manipulative parasite and wanted to try to squeeze some money from her dad before he died.

  • @hernanvalverde3693

Angela thought she had a friend but all he wanted was her money so she felt betrayed so she over kill him.

  • @m30wn3ss

All of a sudden me not having friends doesn't seem all that bad! Yikes!

  • @jessicastribley4281

    She hesitated way too much

  • @hairby_jayme2866

The lady is lien while saying what she did to jimmy. There’s no way she would be able to over power the man.

  • @heezypeasy8611

I'm so glad you covered this case! I haven't seen any coverage other than her interrogations. I watched all of them a few months ago.

  • @NicoleTaylor-rc1zn

Just because a person is mentally ill, doesn’t mean they should be USED for money !! Granted, the murder was wrong but if she was about to lose all her money ( or go homeless or something ) that might be a valid reason why she was so vicious !! I have depression & every boyfriend i ever had thinks i OWE them money when i don’t!! If i just started dating somebody or hanging out with them does not justify handing over hundreds or even thousands of dollars to them!! I’ve had complete strangers or acquaintances think i owed them something just because i had depression!! So the murder is wrong 😑, but why isn’t this guy going to gambling addiction clinic & learning how to make his OWN money for HIS OWN family !! Sounds screwy to me, both people in this scenario!!

  • @rachelgodfrey3935

She will get the help she needs in prison. She has the rest of her life, too. And I think after what she did, she belongs in prison for the rest of her life. I personally have mental health issues, yet even I know right from wrong. And I believe the story she told her sister better than the 1 she went with. It makes sense. She was pissed at him. So mad she killed him.

  • @djlibby8805

Her low-class, trashy speech pattern is driving my misophonia crazy 😖

  • @whitneygmabry9345

Many years of camping and I have never taken an ice pick

  • @dhsu04

Not a very nice neighbor, kind of hungry too, Jesus

  • @Claudia-lq3ns

I have a sense that she has a thing for the younger gentleman. What she did was completely heinous, but I think he took advantage of her based on her willingness to get close to him.

That detective is brilliant. He probably sensed the same thing and used that get her to spill the beans. Nice job, detective!
